Publisher ESDigital Games is thrilled to announce that a major content update for Unusual Findings, the rad 2-D pixel art action-adventure game packed with 80s nostalgia and pop culture, will be coming this summer! The Vinny’s Diary Update will add a bunch of fresh new gameplay content as well as quality-of-life updates to the bodacious adventure from developer Epic Llama Games for free for PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, PlayStation and Xbox consoles and Nintendo Switch.
Unusual Findings transports you back to the 80s and pays tribute to classic movies such as The Goonies, The Explorers, Monster Squad, The Lost Boys, They Live, Terminator, and Aliens and adds gameplay that combines mechanics of Point and Click masterpieces like Full Throttle with its own unique twist.

With the Vinny’s Diary Update, console fans can now enjoy Unusual Findings on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. This free update improves performance on current-gen systems.

Dive deeper into this quintessential action adventure by accessing Vinny’s Diary from the inventory. Vinny, one of the three main characters from Unusual Findings, will share hints on how to complete and solve puzzles via his thoughts in his diary as well as providing a little extra lore from the game. Players can also use the ‘give more hints’ button until the hints and advice are replaced by direct instructions for those who need a little extra help.

Hernan Lopez, founder and game designer at developer Epic Llama Games will be at gamescom Latam from June 26-30 demoing Unusual Findings on the Nintendo Stand. Hernan will be showcasing the update and what the team has been working on since launch and will be available for interviews.
Also available to play on the Nintendo stand at gamescom Latam is Tetragon an exciting 2D puzzle game from ESDigital Games, packed with unique game mechanics, puzzles, magical mazes, and challenges!
About Unusual Findings
It’s the 80s, and Christmas is coming. Young friends, Vinny, Nick and Tony are trying out their new cable signal descrambler when trying to decrypt a pay-per-view adult channel, they pick up the distress signal of an alien spaceship crash-landed in the woods near their town… Things only get weirder as they realize that the towering alien is killing very specific members of their community!
Explore the world oozing with nostalgia, check the Video Buster Store for clues, challenge other kids at the Laser Llamas Arcades, go learn a new trick at The Emerald Sword comic store, try to get along with the punk-looking Lost Boys at their hideout or even dare to ask THE BULL, the quintessential 80s Action hero, for some help!
Your decisions do matter, and the way you make these three friends interact with each other increasingly affects their friendship and the whole story, changing the way they solve the game puzzles, the locations they visit, the answers they find, the story, everything.
