Verho – Curse of Faces is a fresh adaptation of the popular dark fantasy RPG genre, inspired by the classic King's. Developed by Polish studio Kasur Games and published by CobraTekku Games, this dark RPG full of atmospheric adventures is available on Steam for PC for $19.99/€19.99/£16.99.
In Verho – Curse of Faces, players take on the role of an unnamed protagonist in the abandoned and dark world of Yariv. In this desolate environment, showing your face means instant death, so masks have become a central symbol of protection and identity. Each mask represents a distinct class with unique abilities and playstyles, including heavy weapon melee fighters, fast melee fighters, and magic-wielding classes with a selection of spells.
The gameplay is characterized by a mixture of exploration, tactical combat, and discovering hidden paths. Players move through Yariv, a world full of surprises. The battles are challenging and require a good understanding of your own class and its strengths.
Visually, Verho – Curse of Faces relies on a unique retro aesthetic heavily inspired by the PlayStation 1 era. Rough textures, reduced polygon models, and deliberately applied technical limitations create a nostalgic atmosphere that captures the dark mood of the game world, while also giving it a unique visual character.
