Fastest Car:
The Mitsubishi GTO twin turbo fully modified puts out 944 hp(thats with a stage IV turbo)

Alternate Fastest Car:
The Actual Fastest car in Gran Turismo is the Toyota Supra. Why you ask, because it doesn't put out as much horse power as the skyline or GTO do and it aslo isn't 4wd. Well trust me on this, if you go to the testing tracks and go
for the top speed ring, after a few modifications to the suspension, aerodynamics, final drive and gear ratios you should be able to get the supra up around 422km per hour. (obviously this is after modifing the supra with every
thing turbo, exhaust etc.) I have tried with the skyline and GTO and can only seam to achieve very low 400s to 408s. Try it......!!

Hidden Video:
In Arcade Mode, first get the hidden tracks, then, on every track, take 1st place with any car in A,B, and C class mode on Normal setting or higher. Then go to Bonus Items, you'll see "Staff Video" on the menu.

License Trick:
When getting your licence, The first two things you have to do is take off and stop.when stopping turn your vehicle sideways and you will stop almost instantly.

Easy Money:
The easiest way to gain extra credits is to race and win each Cup or Challenge more than once, and then sell the extra Bonus Cars you receive.

Nearly Fastest Car:
The R33 Skyline GTR V-SPec by Nissan is the fastest car in the game. Load it up with everything and you should get 941 horsepower!

GT League:
You get a Hi-Fi mode to do time trials in, just go to where you would do the 60 lapper, go to the top of the screen,(upper right) and press the next button!!!

Free Parts:
It seems there is a bug in GT which means you can make free duplicate copies of any parts you buy for a particular type of car. Try this: 1.Buy two identical cars. Give them a different colour scheme if you like.
2.Buy loads of parts for the first one - fully spec it up if you like. 3.Check out its list of fitted parts from the garage (you should see a list of what you just bought). 4.Switch to the other car and get in it (the one which you haven't fitted any parts on yet) and check its fitted parts list (should be empty).
5.Still in the second car, go race (Spot Race will do). 6.When you get options to qualify, go to Machine Setting, then Change Parts. You'll now find you can select all the parts from the other car, tyres, turbos,
suspension, intercooler etc, in effect fully spec'ing up the second car. 7.Exit the race, and go back to the garage. Check out the list of fitted parts for both cars. The parts are now installed for both of them!
NOTE: This won't work for the Weigh Reduction or Racing Mod options and a few other things (like port polishing), as these are not available from the Change Parts menu - they're not really "parts" as such anyway. Also, it doesn't seem to
work with cars that have been won. Of course the best thing you can do with this is sell the extra cars. As it cost you
nothing to increase its specs, you'll make a profit when you sell it!

Hi-Fi Mode, Bonus Cars and Bonus Tracks:
To get all the bonus items in Arcade mode, which include the four other tracks (Autumn Ring, Deep Forest, SSR5, and Grand Valley Speedway), all the other cars (Toyota, Subaru, Dodge, and TVR), the ending movie, and Hi-res GT Mode, you have to beat every single track with each type of car (A, B, and C) under all three modes of difficulty (Easy, Normal, Difficult)

Replay Mode Tip:
Are you having trouble beating the license tests? Well, you won't anymore. Go to the replay theater in the main screen, and check out the demonstration movies. They will show you how to beat all the license tests!

Win the Concept Car:
To get the Concept car, enter the American vs. British race and place first in the championship.

Break the sound barrier in GT:
Select a 4WD car. Start and get some speed. Hit a wall at 90 degree. Hold the throttle open. Now your car is stopped, wheels spinning and smoking. Slightly steer to whichever you want to go. Suddenly your car is accelerated. Try to keep
your car sticking to the wall so that the acceleration continue.

Tuned Race:
When you do the tuned race you should try a GTO twin turbo,It pulls 380 kph and makes the nissans look like dogs in speed and handling. Also the only way i`ve found to win other cars is if you quallify 1st & win every race in the
tournament,although this does not always work.

Licenses:
First 2 parts of getting license B - you have to come to a complete stop in the checked area at the end of the track within the time limit (36 then 27 - i think).

Hint:
In all the sessions you've got to get under the time on the description screen, but on the first 2 you've also got to brake and stop on the checkered bit after the finish line. Your time doesn't count until
you've completely stopped.

Quick Arcade Mode Spoiler:
1.What is the class of cars? Each car is categorized to one of class A, B, C. For example, Honda NSX is a class A, where as Integra is a class B, and Civic is a class C. See the lower left corner of the machine selection menu.
2.What happens when I win in all three classes for each track? Each time you win in all three classes, extra track shows up, namely, Autumn Ring, Deep Forest, Special Stage R5, and Grand Valley.. (This is possible in Easy level.)
3.What happens when I win in all three classes for those extra tracks? Each time you win in all three classes for the extra track, extra car manufacturer shows up in Maker Selection menu, namely, Aston Martin, Chevrolet, Chrysler, and TVR. 4.What ^happens when I win in all tracks for all three classes with "NORMAL" level? When you win in all tracks with Normal level, the staff credit movie starts. Also this movie becomes available from Goodies menu.
5.What happens when I win in all tracks for all three classes with "HARD" level? "GT Hi-Fi" becomes available from Goodies menu. This is basically same with Time Trial, except the different graphics quality. Track selection is limited to three tracks (Clubman Stage R5, Special Stage R5, Special Stage R11.) The course layouts are same with normal mode, except with different graphics. I'm not sure exactly what the differences are, but I think the resolution of polygon texture is higher. Downside is that, apparently to provide higher quality texture, there are reduced number of objects in landscape.

Accelerate in a straight line from starting point and stop completely in
the goal area at 1000 meters away. Overunning the goal area or over-time, you
are disqualified. The car is Mazda Demio. Time limit is 36 seconds.
License B-2 [Start, Accelerate, and Stop, part 2]
Accelerate in a straight line from starting point and stop completely in the
goal area at 1000 meters away. Since the car is heavier and more powerful,
you'll need to brake earlier. The car is Mitsubishi GTO. Time limit is 27
seconds.
License B-3 [Basic Cornering, part 1]
Accelerate the straight from starting point, turn the first corner, and run
through the finish gate over the hill. Be careful to corner smoothly. Course-out
is disqualified. The car is Honda CR-X Del Sol. Time limit is 29 seconds.
License B-4 [Basic Cornering, part 2]
Accelerate the straight from starting point, turn the first corner, and run
through the finish gate over the hill. Be careful to corner smoothly. Going out
of the course disqualifies immediately. The car is Nissan Silvia. Time limit is
26 seconds.
License B-5 [Basic Cornering, part 3]

Time trial using the full course of Highspeed Ring. Start from still and circle

Accelerate from starting point, turn the first corner, and go through the finish
gate. Beware that the straight is longer than previous tests, and the entrance
speed to the corner is higher. The car is Toyota Supra. Time limit is 34
seconds.
License A-2 [Practical Cornering, part 2]
Accelerate from starting point, turn right the first corner, and go through the
finish gate. Beware that the straight is longer than previous tests, so that the
entrance speed to the corner is higher. The car is Toyota Supra RZ. Time limit
is 26 seconds.
License A-3 [Practical Cornering, part 3]
Accelerate through the long straight, and turn right tightly the first corner.
Since you have to brake while turning gradually left before the first corner,
the machine tend to lose stability. The car is Mazda RX-7. Time limit is 44
seconds.
License A-4 [Applied Complex Cornering, part 1]
Go through the complex series of corners efficiently. Do not slow down
unnecesarily, maintain the average speed of the whole section. The car is Nissan
Skyline GT-R. Time limit is 39 seconds.
License A-5 [Applied Complex Cornering, part 2]
Go through the high-speed left-right S-curve, and turn tight to left. It is
vital to keep the exit speed of the last tight left turn. Touching to the wall
will lose the time big. The car is Honda Prelude. Time limit is 32 seconds.
License A-6 [Applied Complex Cornering, part 3]
Go through the complex corners after the acceleration section. Since you have to
brake while turning left for the first right tight-turn, machine will tend to
lose stability. Also keep the line smooth. The car is Toyota MR2. Time limit is
27 seconds.
License A-7 [Special Technique]
Go round the 100-meter tiny specially-set circuit for 5 times. You need to turn
quickly without spinning, using low-speed hand-brake technique. The car is
Subaru Impreza. Time limit is 33 seconds.
License A-8 [A License Examination]
Start, turn right the first corner, go through the high-speed section, turn
right a hair-pin, then finish. This is a tough test that goes through tight turn
with high-speed entrance. The car is Toyota Supra RZ. Time limit is 1 minute 8
seconds.

attack, it will require every technique. The car is Dodge Viper. Time limit is 1
minute 30 seconds.
License IA-3 [Attack the Grand Valley]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course time
attack, it will require every technique. The car is TVR Griffith. Time limit is
2 minute 3 seconds.
License IA-4 [Attack the Deep Forest]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course time
attack, it will require every technique. The car is Dodge Viper. Time limit is 1
minute 23 seconds.
License IA-5 [Attack the Autumng Ring]
Start from still and time the one lap time. Since it's a full course time

Valley, you will encounter a series of unfamiliar corners. Try to run smooth and
fast. The car is Dodge Viper. Time limit is 1 minute 59 seconds.

Tuning Shop Guide
Following is a partial translation of the part shops menu. Also "GT Reference",
pp.46-51.
If the part changes the engine power when installed, the current power and
expected power are indicated at the lower-right corner of the screen, along with
the price.
MUFFLER:
Muffler & Air Cleaner Sports Combinaiton of a sports-type air cleaner and a
muffler. Semi Racing Combo of an air cleaner using urethane sponge and a muffler
for high-rev efficiency, best suited for large displacement turbo engine. When
using with natural aspiration engine, the engine itself should be tuned
properly. Racing Even more high efficiency air filter with air-funnel, and a
straight muffler for racing cars. Best tuned for peak power. Note that since
low-rev torque will be dropped, you should consider in accordance the overall
characteristic of engine performance and gear ratio.
BRAKE:
Sports Brake Kit Better braking power as well as endurance, which is usable for
endurance races. We're now on sale, so we'll change the brake fluid (DOT5) for
free. Brake Balance Controller Controlls anti-lock brake system. With front is
set higher, it will tend to be under-steer when braking, and with rear set
higher, over-steer. Beware setting the rear too high, or you'll spin out easily.
ENGINE
Computer Computer Replaces an engine controller tuned for more power. NA Tune
Stage 1 Adjusts ignition, valve timing, . Replaces exhaust manifold. Improves
peak power without sacrificing low-rev torque. Stage 2 Using high-comp piston,
polished head-surface, replaces cam, valve spring, and polishes chamber port.
Low rev torque is slightly reduced, but this is to achieve peak power at high
rev. Also readjusts the engine management computer. Stage 3 In addition to stage
2, piston, cam, valve, conrod, spring are replaced using different material.
Since it is targeting for peak power, the power band is only in the middle rev.
Port Polishment Port Polishment Smoothes the air flow by polishing the chamber
port, which improves engine response. Althogh the power improvement is tiny,
this is crucial for NA engines. Displacement Up Displacement Up Increases the
engine displacement by increasing bore or stroke. Improves overall torque.
Engine Re-balance Engine Balance Tune-up Adjusts the weight balance of piston,
crank shaft, etc., which reduces friction, allows more power and high rev.
Includes reset of the rev-limitter.
TRANSMISSION
Gear Sports Closer gear ratio, best for natural aspiration engine. Semi Racing
Even more closer gear ratio, best for hard-tuned engine. Note you need to change
gear more often, which might be a loss for a wide-band torque engine. Racing
Support Fully customizable. Clutch Single Single-plate clutch. Twin Twin-plate
clutch, ideal for large-torque high-power racing cars. Reduces the slipping of
clutch when shifting up, which improves acceleration. Triple Triple-plate
clutch, best for hard-tuned cars. Flywheel Sports Ligher weight flywheel using
chrome-molybdenum. Improves engine pick-up. Also acceleration is improved, but
an engine with narrow torque-band may tend to stall in the upslope. Semi Racing
Even lighter flywheel specifically for racing. Improves engine pick-up. Also
acceleration is improved, but an engine with narrow torque-band may tend to
stall in the upslope. Racing Super light flywheel for racing. Improves engine
pick-up. Also acceleration is improved. But an engine with narrow torque-band
may tend to stall in the upslope. Propeller shaft Carbon-composite propeller
shaft Light-weight propeller shaft made of carbon-composite. It is as much
important as flywheel to improve acceleration.
TURBO
Intercooler Sports Intercooler lowers the temperature of air which was heated by
pressurizing in Turbo Charger. Lowered temperature allows more air into chamber
at same pressure. Racing Large capacity intercooler for racing. The engine
response will be slightly worsened. Turbo Kit Stage 1 Turbine Kit I. With small
turbo lag and quick response, this has good balance for any circuit. Stage 2
Turbine Kit II. Compared to Turbine Kit I, low-rev torque is slightly decreased,
but has enough power in mid- to high rev. Stage 3 Turbine Kit III. Best tuned
for 0-400m acceleration. Stage 4 Turbine Kit IV. Tuned for peak power, ideal for
max speed challenge.
SUSPENSION
Suspension Sports Sports suspension kit that can cover from street to circuits.
Shock absorber (damper) can be set by 3 levels, and the camber angle is
adjustable as well. The ride height is lowered by 2 centi meters. Semi Racing
Suspension kit that can adjust ride height for medium-level drivers. Spring rate
and damper rate are higher than Sports suspension. Ride height can be adjusted
by millimeter. Damper rate is adjustable by 10 levels, and the camber angle is
adjustable as well. Racing Support Shock absorbers, cambers, and spring rates
are fully customizable. Shock absorbers has separate setting for extend and
shrink each by 20 levels. Stabilizer Front Soft Stabilizer is to reduce the
rolls, without changing the pitching. Medium It is also possible to reduce the
roll by hardening the suspension, but that makes the pitching harder, and
consequently makes the load-movement difficult, affecting brake performance.
Stabilizer allows to reduce only the rolls. Hard Hardest of the stabilizers.
Note the car is not neccesarily faster when using harder stabilizer. Choose the
one that matches your driving style. Rear Soft Stabilizer is to reduce the
rolls, without changing the pitching. Medium It is possible to reduce the roll
by hardening the suspension, but that makes the pitching harder, and
consequently makes the load-movement difficult. Stabilizer allows to reduce only
the rolls. Hard Hardest of the stabilizers. Note the car is not neccesarily
faster when using harder stabilizer. Choose the one that matches your driving
style.
TIRE
Tire Semi Racing Front-Hard / Rear-Hard Best for endurance races. Front-Hard /
Rear-Soft A combo of front-hard / rear-soft. Since the rear has more grip, the
machine tend to under-steer. This is adequate when you want to improve oversteer
tendency of high-power rear-wheel drive machines. Front-Soft / Rear-Hard A combo
of front-soft / rear-hard. Since the front has more grip, the machine tend to
over-steer. This is adequate for cars with under-steer tendency, such as FF
cars. Front-Soft / Rear-Soft High-grip soft compounds for both front and rear.
Best for sprint races. Racing Front-Hard / Rear-Hard Slick tyres, which has no
groove at all. Hard-compound for both front and rear. Hard compound has less
grip than soft compound, but has more lastability. Best for endurance races.
Front-Hard / Rear-Soft A combo of front-hard / rear-soft. Since the rear has
more grip, the machine tend to under-steer. This is adequate when you want to
improve oversteer tendency of high-power rear-wheel drive machines. Front-Soft /
Rear-Hard A combo of front-soft / rear-hard. Since the front has more grip, the
machine tend to over-steer. This is adequate for cars with under-steer tendency,
such as FF cars. Front-Soft / Rear-Soft High grip soft compounds for both front
and rear. Best for sprint races.
Note: Tyre-wearing can happen only in endurance races or 2-player battle.

OTHERS
Weight Reduction Stage 1 Reduces the weight by removing unnecesary parts or
replacing with lighter materials. Improves acceleration, cornering performance,
brake performance, tyre endurance, and so on. Stage 2 (same above) Stage 3 (same
above) Racing Modification Full racing-spec modification including the change of
machine construction and material replacement. Includes drastic weight
reduction, tread-width change, and fender modification for larger tyre. It does
not include engine modification.

GRAN TURISMO

Jaz Rignall spent his entire Christmas and New Year playing
through the import version of Sony's incredible driving game Gran Turismo.
Here's what he's found so far.

STARTING OFF

Gran Turismo is an incredible racing game. However, be warned
-- it's not like any other racer. It takes time and effort to get used to the
ultra-realistic handling, so be prepared to persevere.

Don't use the game shark codes to unlock the different racing
licenses. It may be tough earning them, but there's good reason for it -- the
process of earning the licenses teaches you how to drive the cars. If you don't
do it, you won't be able to drive the cars you get. So just stick with it -- in
the long run the effort you put in is rewarded by the fact that you'll be a
better driver and thus it'll be easier to win races and earn loads of cash.

A good rule of thumb is don't immediately buy a super-powerful
FR (rear wheel drive car) -- they're the most difficult cars to drive, and if
you're a novice you'll be spinning out on every corner. This can be really
frustrating, so instead, choose a 4WD (four wheel drive) or FF (front engine,
front wheel drive), since these cars are much more forgiving and easier to
drive.

Big tip: when cornering, remember the racing adage, "slow in,
fast out". It's the key to success. Learn to brake early and get on the power as
early as possible so you accelerate out of a bend. Don't brake late -- you'll
still be out of control and decelerating deep into the corner, and you'll end up
coming out of the corner slowly and quite possibly still not under full control
of the car.

THE FASTEST WAY TO WIN AND EARN CASH

Here's the quickest way to win all the races with the least amount of cars and
thus earn the most amount of money to spend on the best cars.

Go and get a B license, then buy a used Honda Prelude and win the Sunday Cup GT
race. Sell both the Prelude and the Demio A-Spec that you win, buy an '89 Nissan
GT-R and spend the rest of the money on a muffler, hard roll bars and tuned ROM
(and anything else you can afford). Enter and win the 4WD Event Race. Sell the
Subaru SVX (or Mitsubishi Lancer if don't get the maximum 45 points) and pour
your winnings into fully modifying the Nissan GT-R. SS racing tires, the rest of
the suspension modifications and a ROM tune should make the car competitive
enough to win the Bronze League GT race. Assuming you do that, sell the Z28
Camaro 30th Anniversary Edition. Now go and get your A license.

You should be able to completely finish tuning the Nissan GT-R by buying
everything available, including the all-important weight reduction -- don't buy
the racing body, though. Enter the Japanese Vs US Event race. Win this and you
get the Mitsubishi FTO Limited Edition -- the best all-round car in the game.
Select this and enter and win the Silver and Gold GT Races. Now you should be
getting rich.

Select the Nissan GT-R, compete in the Mega Event race and sell the Toyota
Soarer that you win. Now buy the Viper RT/10 and enter the Normal Race. It's
fairly easy to win with this car since it's twice as powerful as its closest
rival (Honda NSX Type S-Zero).

Now you should be ready to get the A International License. Once you've got it,
use the Nissan GT-R to win the tuned race (with 939 ps, you should be able to
win this with ease). Now you should be absolutely loaded up with cash.

Use the Mitsubishi FTO Limited Edition to win the Japanese Vs US race, and use
the Viper GTS-R that you win in that race to win the US Vs British race and thus
complete the international race series. Use the Viper GTS-R to win the FR Class
race and buy an FTO GP-R Version, which you should then fully modify (except for
the racing body, which is optional). Use this to win the FF and Lightweight
Class races and you're set for the last three challenges.

The Mitsubishi FTO Limited Edition is tailor made for the Valley 300. Just be
prepared to put in about an hour and 50 minutes of racing, 'cos that's how long
the race takes (yikes!). The last two Stage 11 races (both take about 45-50
minutes) can be won with the cars you have -- the Mitsubishi FTO Limited Edition
is good for the Racing Class, and the Nissan GT-R for the Tuned Class.

And that's it. By the time you've completed all those races you should have way,
way over 100,000,000 and can buy anything you want. So spend! Spend! Spend! And
have fun playing with the cars on the Machine Test course, or just keep on
racing and earning!

BEST CARS FOR EACH RACE

SUNDAY CUP GT RACE Pretty much anything that's tuned up will smoke the sad
vehicular slugs that make up this field.

BRONZE CUP GT RACE As long as your car has over 300 ps and good suspension
modifications, you'll win with ease.

SILVER CUP GT RACE A fully-tuned car is what you need to win this one. Any
Nissan GT-R is a good pick, even though it's really too powerful for these
courses. But who cares if your racing is a little ragged when you can blow the
competition away with brute force.

GOLD CUP GT RACE Like the previous race, a fully-tuned car that weighs less than
1300 kgs and sports more than 600 ps is required to win this. So that means any
of the "big five" -- Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra, Mitsubishi GTO, Honda NSX or
Nissan GT-R. However, the Mitsubishi is a bit of a lard-ass, so it's slow on the
twisty courses. The Mazda and Toyota, due to the massive power being delivered
to their rear wheels only, need an experienced driver to really get the best out
of them. The light weight of the NSX (less than 1000 kgs and around 550 ps)
gives it blistering acceleration and top end -- although like the Mazda and
Toyota, its rear wheel drive means it's easy to spin out on the twisty bits. The
4WD of the Nissan makes it an excellent all-rounder (and is my personal fave).

FF RACE The Mitsubishi FTO GP-R Version is the best car for this class, although
both the Honda Prelude VTEC and Toyota Celica SSII are just as fun to drive and
give it a good run for its money. The Honda Civic-R is less powerful, but due to
its light weight makes it competitive too.

FR RACE The Mazda RX-7, Toyota Supra and Honda NSX are kings here. The rear
wheel drive Nissan GT-R is also good, but nowhere near as powerful as a
top-of-the-line Supra. A tuned Viper is also a great laugh, and thanks to its
enormous tires, gives it copious grip and very good handling.

4WD RACE Once again the ominous Nissan GT-R rules the roost here. The Mitsubishi
FTO Limited Edition is less powerful, but is easier to drive, and the Subaru
Impreza Rally Edition is also a good one, although its lack of top end makes it
a bit annoying to drive on the straight-aways (because it hits the rev limiter
at only 265 kph in top gear).

LIGHTWEIGHT The Mitsubishi FTO GP-R Version is the vehicle of choice here. It's
by far the most powerful car in this class. But for comedy fun driving, race
tune the Mazda Demio A-Spec. With a measly 218 ps under the hood, but weighing
in at a featherlight 549 ps, it's like driving a shopping kart. And it also
happily corners on two wheels (indeed, once you get skillful enough, you can
actually drive some distance with the car balanced on two wheels!), which makes
it great fun to drive. The Honda Civic-R is the final choice in this category.
It's not as fast as the FTO, but it's a total laugh to drive.

US Vs JAPANESE The Mitsubishi FTO Limited Edition destroys the competition in
this race, thanks to high power and 4WD. But if you want variety, any of the
"big five" work here, and a fully-tuned Viper also offers laughs a-plenty if
lurid tail slides are your thing.

JAPANESE Vs BRITISH Like the above, the Mitsubishi FTO Limited Edition rocks.
Any of the "big five" are competitive. If it's a British racer you're after,
there's nothing better than a race-tuned Cerbera -- although its huge rear-wheel
power and super-light weight makes racing an oversteer spectacular (the back
spins out when the power is poured on too early).

BRITISH Vs US The Viper GTS-R is king for this one, although the Cerebra (fully
tuned with racing body) is a really good alternative. Again, just be careful
with the power -- both cars are very powerful and lightweight and tend to
oversteer.

MEGA Power and speed are the keys to this race. Any fully-tuned high-spec Mazda
RX-7, Toyota Supra RZ, Nissan GT-R, Honda NSX or Mitsubishi GTO will win this
with ease. My favorite is the GT-R, though, since its 4WD makes it easier to
drive than the rear-wheelers (it's far more forgiving when you're really pushing
for those record lap times).

NORMAL The best car for this series is the Viper RT/10. Marginally lighter than
the Viper GTS and producing the same ps, this car smokes everything -- including
the other killer car in this class, the NSX Type S-Zero. The only thing that's
tricky is initially learning to drive the Viper -- once you've mastered it, you
won't have any problems winning this series.

TUNED This is a hard race, since you're up against some very powerful, medium
weight cars. A 4WD rally car makes a lot of sense for this, but all of them tend
to lose out on the high speed courses to cars like the Supra, GT-R and NSX. I
ended up going for brute force -- a Skyline GT-R tuned to 965 ps and sporting
every tuning feature except the racing conversion. It's difficult to drive on
some of the tighter courses, but its huge power advantage and 4WD makes it a
formidable car.

VALLEY 300 Here's where the going gets really tough: a 300 mile, 60-lap race of
the East Valley track. It's certainly a test of endurance -- my best time on
this course is an hour and 49 minutes -- rather than skill. I chose the FTO LM
racing car for this (which you should have won long before you try this race).
Its perfect balance of medium weight and high power coupled with 4WD gives it
supreme handling and makes it a really easy car to race -- it's plenty forgiving
if your concentration starts to lapse. It's also a very fast car, and with
reasonably fast, consistent racing it's easy to build up a huge margin between
you and the second-placed car. By the time I finished the race, I had lapped all
the cars at least three times!

STAGE 11 RACING Another massive race, this one weighing in at around 50 minutes.
Again, I chose the FTO LM for this -- it's the best all-round car in the game.
And again, steady and consistent racing is the key to success.

STAGE 11 TUNED I chose my trusty old overpowered GT-R for this, going for raw
power again. The problem is that it wears its tires out incredibly quickly, so
expect to be pulling into the pits every 15-19 laps for new rubber. Despite
that, the GT-R is still king of this one, since its combination of 4WD and
immense power blows away the opposition.

REFERENCE

Most powerful car -- race tuned Nissan GT-R Vspec gives out 969 ps. This car is
also the most powerful 4WD

Most powerful rear wheel drive car -- race tuned Toyota Supra RZ spanks out over
900 ps, depending on the model

Lightest car -- race tuned Mazda Demio A-Spec is 549 kg

Fastest car -- race tuned Mitsubishi GTO MT can be tweaked to go over 400 kph

Most powerful lightweight/FF car -- race tuned Mitsubishi FTO GP-R Version bangs
rated 376 ps

Most powerful stock car -- Viper RT/10 (Viper GTS has the same ps, but is
slightly heavier)

Best power-to-weight racing car -- Viper GTS-R

Lightest tuned non-racing car -- NSX S-Zero (990 kg)

Best all-rounder -- FTO Limited Edition combines power, reasonably light weight,
4WD and impressive top speed to devastating effect
