2. Review
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Here is my March Madness '98 Review.
INTRODUCTION
March Madness '98 is a backboard shattering college basketball
game. With cool features like the NCAA Tournament, nine women's teams,
team, team specific fight songs, and authentic college uniforms and
logos, it makes March Madness '98 a must have college basketball game.
March Madness '98 also gives you the opportunity to win preseason and
conference tournaments. Create your own player from scratch, you choose
all of his strengths and weaknesses, or customize your own NCAA
Tournament. Whatever type of game mode you want March Madness' 98 has
it all. March Madness '98 is 1 to 8 players and is multi-tap adaptable.
March Madness '98 also requires 8 blocks on a memory card.

GRAPHICS
The graphics in March Madness '98 are all right. They're nothing great
but they're not bad. The detailed basketball courts are nice. The
players look a little fake though. Not much to complain about, good
graphics.
Graphics Rating: 6

SOUND/MUSIC
There is not much sound in March Madness '98 which is very
disappointing. The only sound in the game is the background music and
the occasional theme music. There is no play-by-play, which I wished
was in the game.
Sound/Music Rating: 4

GAME PLAY
The Game Play in March Madness '98 is pretty good. I don't like dunking
being so hard to execute. March Madness '98 offers some new features to
college basketball games. Like the Direst Pass, call plays on the fly,
and the NCAA tournament.

In March Madness '98 there are three game modes: exhibition, season,
and tourney mode. Exhibition is a single game between any of the 107
Division 1 men's teams or any of the nine women's teams. Take your team
through a full 30 game season in season mode. Play a 64 team NCAA
Championship March Madness Tournament in tourney mode. The tournament
mode is a cool new feature.
Game Play Rating: 7

*Other Important Factors*

REPLAY
March Madness '98 is a little addictive. Whenever I start a new season
I want to finish it very quickly.
Replay Value: Above Average

CHALLENGE
There is not much of a challenge to March Madness '98. The controls are
easy to learn and playing a game is pretty easy.
Challenge: Below Average

FUN FACTOR
March Madness '98 is a fun game. I like to play the NCAA tournaments a
lot. They're so unpredictable. The game is an average fun game.
Fun Factor: Average

OVERALL
Overall NCAA March Madness '98 is an easy game to play and fun to play
over again. The controls are easy to learn but the graphics and sound
could have been better. I hope someday college basketball games have
entrances for each team and a play-by-play announcer like NBA Live.
March Madness '98 is a good game and I gave it a six because it could
have been a whole lot better. I hope this review helped you make a
decision on why you should or shouldn't buy the game. Thanks for
reading my March Madness '98 review.
