Welcome to my little guide, or list rather, that plans to include every
morsel of language Xiao's slingshot Steve decides to tell you about. Steve,
as you may now know, is a slingshot gained by Xiao at a random point in the
game Dark Cloud. I got my first Steve in Sun/Moon Temple, which is quite
late on. Steve isn't a particularly powerful slingshot, and doesn't Build
Up to a great slingshot power-wise (Super Steve), but it will still take a
chunk out of any beasts plans. He also throws hints on what elements you
should be attacking with, and ones which you shouldn't be attacking with, so
you can actually use this guide to show some weaknesses. Hey! I didn't plan
on that! I think Steve looks like the Gingerbread man, seemingly as witty as
Jack Dee, and provides a lighter edge to this otherwise quite serious game.
Now on to the list, and who knows, it may become a fully fledged FAQ. And
don't complain to me it's crap - this is my first proper FAQ as such. So
bleah =P And note, monsters will go under the dungeon in which they first
appear.

basically help you to look through all the cool stuff Steve says while you
battle while Steve is equipped. That's all I really got to say, so =P.

The Remarks of Steve

And so we begin. Steve can utter many useful things. He can tell you the
weaknesses and resistances of certain monsters. He can also tell you what
you can get by stealing or defeating an enemy. His information also
includes the way to catch Mardan Garayans (Under Witch Illiza in WOF) and
even how to build up weapons! He's one handy slingshot, but as he says quite
a lot of things, I might be here for a while. His grammar isn't too good
either, he keeps forgetting question marks at the end of some of his
questions. I'll also try and get them sorted alphabetically (By beast name)
but my first priority is getting them done. So off we go! (And note,
monsters will go under the dungeon in which they first appear). If someone
could grab the little things that Steve says at the final battle with the
Dark Genie, it would be gratefully recieved. Also, thanks to Mary Brandt
for informing me that Steve doesn't speak during the bosses. =)

The first dungeon you encounter in Dark Cloud. Divine Beast Cavern arguably
has the weakest enemies in the game.

beasts, which are quite a bit different to the first set in Divine Beast
Cavern.
