3. Game Modes
-----------------------------------------------------------------
These are the different game modes in Test Drive off Road and a
description of each.
3.1 - Single Race
Single Race is a series of 27 races. You start out with
three races available on each track. After finishing a
set of three races more races will become available,
along with a new class of vehicles. Completing all 27
races on the hard difficulty gets you more than just
bragging rights...
3.2 - Career Race
This game mode puts you in the position of an off road
racer, racing through his career. You start out with
$30,000 to buy a truck. There are 5 seasons, each with
its own divisions. As you move along you will unlock
secret vehicles and new classes of vehicles.
3.3 - Free Roam
A very fun thing to do. Just pick a course and a truck and
just drive around with no limits. It's a good idea to do
this when you first pick up the game and when you get some
new trucks. If you're ever bored of racing and just want
to drive, come here.
3.4 - Multiplayer
Go grab a friend and drive around wherever you want. The
only multiplayer mode is in Free Roam. Very fun when you're
bored of racing and playing by yourself.
-----------------------------------------------------------------
4. Types of Races
-----------------------------------------------------------------
These are the different types of races in this game and what they
are like.
4.1 - Circuit Race
The classic two or three lap races through different
tracks. Make sure you pass through the checkpoints or
you'll have to turn around and lose your precious first
place position. An easy type of race. Not too much
trouble, just get used to the track on your first lap,
then you can worry about your position.
4.2 - Blitz Races
It's a mad dash for the finish line! Race through all the
checkpoints before time runs out. That's the objective.
These races can get confusing, but just follow the map
and you'll be fine. Good Luck.
4.3 - Scramble Races
In my opinion, THE WORST type of race in the game. You
have to collect a certain amount of checkpoints before
anyone else, in any order. Sounds pretty easy, right?
WRONG! These races can get VERY annoying. Try playing a
little follow the leader....
-----------------------------------------------------------------
5. Tracks
-----------------------------------------------------------------
These are the different areas where you will be racing on.
5.1 - Moab
The Desert area. Lots of hills to climb here.
5.2 - Yosemite
Yosemite National Park. Forests, rivers, etc. Pretty
fun.
5.3 - Hawaii
Paradise! Lots of places to explore like the beach or
the volcano, even the giant waterfalls!
-----------------------------------------------------------------
6. Vehicles
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Here are the vehicles you'll be using to kick up some dirt and
tear up the track.
Not much customizing to do. You can just buy or get the better
improved version of a car. Here are the classes of upgrades.
7.1 Stock
This is the original of the car. It's stock. No upgrades.
7.2 Modified
Your car is raised and its stats are improved a bit.
7.3 Pro
You car is again raised and the stats are hired more. It
is also given a better look.
7.4 Unlimited
The truck is now given a whole new awesome look. It is
raised up one last time and the stats are pushed to the
limits.
