**** About the Guide ****
*************************
.=============================================================================.
I was bored one day, so I decided I'd try my luck at writing an FAQ for
Legaia 2: Duel Saga. Just like most of the other FAQs written out there I'd
guess. And of course this is my first FAQ. Isn't it a law that you have to
say that or something?
You know the basics, this guide is copyright (C) Gafgarion (me), you
can't steal it and claim it as your own work. If you run a website or fan-
site and want to use this, just send an e-mail to me and you can probably
use it.
Simply put, don't steal this work. Just ask. Thank you.
This guide was made for 800x600 resolution. Just so you know.
The only websites that have been given permission to host this FAQ at
this moment are...

**** About the Arts ****
*************************
.=============================================================================.
The Arts system in Legaia 2 is interesting, to say the least. Instead
your usual "Press Button To Attack" battle system of other RPGs (Final
Fantasy comes to mind), Legaia 2 uses the Tactical Art System (TAS).
While it may look a bit complicated at first sight, it is quite simple
to learn.
You have 4 different moves you can use when you Attack. High, Low,
Left, and Right. Each of those moves use one Art Block. Each character has
a certain amount, which can be increased by leveling up.
By using the correct combinations, you will learn/use an Art. These
Arts are special moves that cause more damage to the enemy than your
regular attacks. But you probably knew that already.
Arts are seperated by category. Normal Arts are weaker arts that fill
your AP Gauge. You cannot use an Art unless you have the appropriate
ammount of AP. So Normal Arts may very well be your most used Arts. They do
not require any AP to use. You can learn Normal Arts just by using the
correct combination.
Super Arts are the next step up from Normal Arts. They do more damage
than Normal Arts, but they consume AP. Super Arts can be learned by using
the correct combination.
Hyper Arts are special Arts, usually learned by scrolls found in
various places. A low-level Hyper Art can hit numerous times for a lot of
damage, but consume quite a bit of AP. These are best used when you can
chain Normal Arts with the Hyper Art in order to minimise the AP lost. Or
you can just blast away bosses with it. It's your choice really. You cannot
learn these moves just by doing the combination, but you have to read the
scroll that contains the move (or appropriate storyline event). In adition,
some Hyper Arts have Experience. The more you use them, the more EXP they
get. Get 100 EXP for that Art by using it, and you learn a new one. Note
that not all Hyper Arts can gain Experience.
Variable Arts are extremely strong. It requires 80 AP to do, and also
requires two people. So you need 80 AP on both characters to do the move.
There are two Variable Arts per person, which is designated by a red arrow
and a purple arrow on your Arts List during battle. Each member must
perform a different Variable in order to do the move, e.g. Lang uses his
purple Variable and Maya uses her red Variable. After the storyline event,
you can learn Variables just like Normal and Super Arts.
And finally, Mystic Arts. These are the most powerful Arts anyone can
use. However, the price to use them is fairly steep. You must have less
than one half (1/2) your Hit Points remaining, you must have 100 MP or more
left, and you must have full (100) AP. Once those conditions are met, you
can use the Mystic Art.

Lang's Hyper Arts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Secrets of Fang scroll is found in the Cave of Trials. You must get it
to continue the game.
You learn Divine Bolt in a battle when you return to Hunter's Woods for
the third time. You must learn this as it's part of the game.
You get Sleeping Dragon from Kazan after you win the Battle Arena, but
you cannot use it yet. It is available for use during the fight with Rauss
in Ellsworth. Again, you cannot miss it, as it's part of the game.
`=============================================================================`
.=============================================================================.
Maya's Hyper Arts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
You learn Big Bang during the second fight with Slogar. It is part of
the game, and you cannot miss it.
Spell of Water scroll is found in the Forest Maze. Head north from the
entrance, continue north through the intersection, then head right. Go up
the fallen tree to find the chest that holds the Spell of Water scroll.
Spell of Earth is found in the Kabel Ruins, second time through. Go
through the dungeon normally until you get past the "Snake" puzzle. Head to
the right until you see an unopened door...the Hyper Art scroll is there,
but you have to solve a puzzle first. Nothing too hard...just hit the many
| switches.
Spell of Fire scroll is in Drokonia. Head northwest and use Ayne to
shove the rock. Climb over it, go north. Continue northwards through the
next intersection. Summon Deva to lower the rock pillar, go through the
opening. The Spell of Fire scroll is in one of those two chests.
Spell of Thunder scroll _SHOULD_ be found on the Storm Idol in the
Thunder Mines. That's what I wrote in the Walkthrough. If I'm wrong, e-mail
me. At this moment I can't remember, so I'll assume that's correct.
Finally, the Spell of Dark is found after the first boss fight in Demi-
urge Tower. Can't miss it.
`=============================================================================`
.=============================================================================.
Kazan's Hyper Arts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Way of Rage scroll is found in the Sewers beneath Darakin Citadel. From
the entrance of the Sewers, head south. Go down the stairs, and up the
other side, Head left, and go down the next set of stairs, and up the other
side. Go left, across the bridge, and into the next area. Head left acrross
the bridge, and continue left. Follow the path, until you reach another
bridge. Cross it to the north, head right, then up. When you cannot go up
anymore, head left. A treasure chest is there, with the Way of Rage scroll.
Way of Quake scroll is found in Tanza. Enter the inn/hot springs to the
left of the save point. Go upstairs, and enter the first room. After a
cutscene, you'll get the Way of Quake scroll.
Way of Thunder scroll is found in Phorchoon. If you talk to the girl
in the Casino, at the desk, she'll show you a list of items. The Way of
Thunder is there, for a cost of 6,000 coins.
`=============================================================================`
.=============================================================================.
Sharon's Hyper Arts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Book of Fear is found in the Kabal Ruins. If possible, enter the ruins
via Doplin Castle. From there, head left. Activate the Thunder Switch, go
across the platform to the south, and enter the door. There are four chests
there, one of them containing the Book of Fear.
Book of Eden is found in the Thunder Mines. From the entrance, head to
the right. Climb the vines, hop across the gap, and continue right into the
next area. Head northwards, and enter another area. Summon Deva on the dirt
patch to hop on the ledge, and head left. Go down the hill and use Galea to
smash the rocks. Continue on to get to the chest that contains the Book of
Eden.
Book of Rose is found in Phorchoon. If you talk to the girl in the
Casino, at the desk, she'll show you a list of items. The Book of Rose is
there, for a cost of 6,000 coins.

Ayne's Hyper Arts
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Heaven's Teachings is found in Drokonia. Head to the north into a new
area. Shove the rock and continue north into another area. Head north, and
skip the intersections. Head north. Summon Deva to lower the rock pillar,
and stand on it. Summon Deva again, ride up, and head left. Jump down the
ledges until you get to two chests. One of them contains Heaven's
Teachings.
Earth's Teachings is found in Demiurge Tower. Go through the tower
normally until you get to a four-way intersection...go to the right, and
down an elevator. You should see a tent there. To the right are two chests,
and Earth's Teachings is in one of them.

**** About Origins ****
*************************
.=============================================================================.
Origins are another soul that lies within Mystics. They have great
power, and are often able to do things regular humans cannot do. They can
also be summoned to perform powerful attacks in battle.
To perform an Origin's skill while in a dungeon, press the Square
button. You will use an Origin's skills often, as they tend to be related
to the various puzzles found in dungeons.
Ayne doesn't have an Origin, but he does get various enhancement
abilities. His abilities will be listed here, as they do use MP and all.
Level learned is fairly explanitory. It's the level an Origin (or Ayne)
has to be to learn said ability.

o Lang's Origin, Galea o

Q. I can't beat so-and-so enemy/boss!
A. Level up, or upgrade your armor. If you have them, use Variable Arts and
Mystic Arts. If you're having trouble because the random enemies are too hard,
try using a Heaven's Path, or simply running.
Q. I hate Maya, she's useless! Why can't she attack?
A. She's far from useless before she can attack...she's still the only person
who has an Origin that can heal. So use her as your healer. She can start to
attack during the second fight with Slogar.
Q. What's the best party? Who are the strongest characters?
A. That's all based on your opinion. If you like someone, use them. Legaia 2
was made that way. Lang is the main character, so he excels in most things.
Maya uses her magic to exploit the enemy's elemental weakness. Kazan and Ayne
have Strength, while Sharon has Agility. Use who you want, although most people
tend to use a party made up of Lang, Maya, and Sharon. Massive damage potential
along with healing...
Q. I'm stuck in the Ruins of Kabel! I can't figure out these puzzles!
A. Press Control + F to bring up Find. Type in "Kabel Ruins", then look for the
puzzle you're stuck on.
Q. How long is this game? Is it worth buying? Should I buy this or ?
A. 1. Play through it and find out. 2. Sure. 3. I don't care, whichever one
you want to buy.
Q. Did you really get any of these questions?
A. I got two of them personally, the rest I'm just quoting from the message
boards. Quite frankly, there really isn't a lot of room for a general FAQ in
this guide... *cries*
So here we are at the nitty gritty of the FAQ. The dreaded walkthrough. I'm not
going to hold your hand the whole way through. I'm assuming if I tell you to go
up, North, or something similar that you will go to North or up. I'm writing
this as I go along, so I can assure you that the directions are accurate...or
at least good enough to finish an area. Also, I'm not going to list every
treasure chest in the game...only the ones that contain things you need, stuff
like Hyper Arts scrolls, and things I come across accidentially. Just so you
know.
I won't tell you when to save your game. It's really up to you. Just save if
you gained a few levels and would be mad if you died. Or you just beat a hard
boss. Just use your best judgement.
For now, there won't be any massive boss strategies. A simple rule of thumb is
if you die, level up a little and try again. In the future there will probably
be Boss Strats, but for now I'll just give a brief rundown of the fight.
Now let's get this thing started.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
o Wilderness Town, Nohl o Recommended Level: 1 o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Yak yak yak...when you have the choice, pick whichever you feel like. I like
to sleep longer, so I choose Stay In Bed. And now you get to move around. Get a
feel for how movement works, and when you're done with that, loot the house.
Check all the drawers, grab the treasure chest upstairs, everything. You should
end up with a few Heal Powders, a Poison Cure, and most importantly, the Point
Card.
More scenes...we don't care about those, do we? When you can choose a choice,
again pick what you want. I like Introductions are lame.
And he has a name! After your brain concussion is through, go down the hill and
turn right...examine the fluffy thing (cow? sheep??). Hop on it. Nope, that's
all. It just looks funny :)
If you talk to Dein (the guy crouching near the front door to the mansion/house
or whatever it is), you'll get a choice. Answer with Confront Dein, and you
will get the nickname "Swordholder".
You can search the houses for items if you want. Make sure to grab the mostly
hidden treasure chest near the front gate at the bottom of the screen. It's
behind the wall to the right...just search around, you'll find it. When you're
ready, go into the mansion/house and talk to Galvan. He's in the right-most
room.
And another concussion from the man. Lang's going to be braindead soon enough.
And another scene. When you're free to move around, go to the front gates at
the bottom of the town. Unless you want to buy some Heal Powders...I would
say skip it for now though. Why? Because Nancy gives you a Heal Powder and
Poison Cure. The Heals you stole from the mansion and that should be more than
enough for now. Again, pick what choice you want. Nancy likes nagging more
than thanking, so...
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
o Hunter's Woods o Recommended Level: 1 o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
Pick the choice you want, then go to the bottom of the screen...you will fight
two battles, where Galvan will teach you how to fight. When you see the dirt
branch, go to the right for a treasure chest, then continue back down. Also,
it seems that Galvan gets fully healed after each battle, so don't bother to
heal him.
Your job is to finish off all the Claw Ants. Let's go up first. Follow the
dirt path until you see the ant run offscreen. Follow it and kill them. They
shouldn't be much of a problem. Heal when you need to, then continue to
follow the dirt path to the right. When you get to the large dirt patch, go
down and follow the dirt patch. Notice a trend here?
Eventually, there will be a fork in the road...kind of. Go left then down to
find the other group of ants. When you finally finish them off, go back to
the dirt road and follow it right until you leave the screen.
Galvan leaves the party after the scene. Go northewst (up and left) for a
treasure chest, then follow the dirt path up. There's another treasure
chest to the right of the save point, a small ways up the dirt road. Grab it.
You should have at least 6-8 Heal Powders, and you should be level 4. If not, I
suggest leveling/fighting for whatever you need. If you have all that though,
continue north. Another scene, another monster, let's fight.
Welcome to your first boss fight. Your tactics are simple. Attack with an Art
until you get some AP, then use Sandstorm on it. When your HP gets to around
80-ish, use a Heal Powder. Keep in mind you will always attack before it if
you are level 4 or higher...eventually some cutscenes will occur. After the
cutscene, the boss gains a new move, which takes away about 80 HP. Keep laying
the smack down, and another scene will occur. Now the boss uses Venom a lot. It
can also let out a Claw Ant for you to fight. Just keep hitting the boss, not
the pesky little Ants that might show up, and it'll go down.
You arrive back in Nohl. Answer whatever choice you want, but if you brag,
Galvan smacks you...hard this time. Again, the choice is yours. Now go back to
your room. It's the one with the save point if you didn't know. Choose to take
a nap, and you get another scene.
When you can move, go out your room...another little scene. There sure are a
lot of scenes. When you get a choice, pick either one you want, they both end
the same. You stay in town.
More scenes...choose to go to Hunter's Woods when you get the chance. You can
upgrade your armor now if you want. You should have gotten enough cash to do
it. Again, it's a personal choice, but I'd upgrade just for the hell of it. So
it's back to Hunder's Woods.
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
o Hunter's Woods o Recommended Level: 5 o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
You should know how to get to where you fought the Gather Crab, so I'll skip
the directions. Just follow the dirt paths. When you get there, you get another
short scene. Continue up the path. Lo and behold, another scene awaits you.
Fight all you want, you just can't do any damage to Gold Eyes. After a few
rounds, another...you guess it, another scene occurs. A rather long scene, I
might add.
When you can walk again, go down to the Lake, near the bottom of the town. Go
on the boardwalk, and another scene will occur. Next, choose "Get back the
Aqualith!". Finally, leave town. I'm not sure which of the choices here is
best, but I choose to be honest.
Now you can either use the Broad Sword you (might have) bought in Nohl, or you
can equip Galvan's Hammer Blade. The Hammer Blade has more attack, but it
decreases your agility. It's all a matter of taste though. Me? I'm using the
Hammer Blade. You might want to level up a bit in Hunter's Woods, perhaps up to
level 6 or 7. When you do that, it's off to...

Grab the treasure chest, continue north, watch the scene. Start off by going to
the right. Climb the small hill and grab the treasure chest underneath the
arch. Don't worry about the gray patch of dirt/rock, there's nothing you can do
about it yet. Go back down the hill, but this time go left. Keep moving to the
left until you see a treasure chest. Grab it. It should contain a Poison Cure.
Go right then up. Follow the path up, then go right. When the path branches, go
down and left to get another treasure chest. It contains a Heal Powder. Go back
to where the path branced off, and head right. Go up the small hill, and head
north. Take the hill to your left for a treasure chest, containing a Guard Oil.
Head back down and head left. Ignore the big rock, there's nothing you can do
about it yet.
Watch the Lyps hop over the gap, then follow after him. If you run into him,
you'll start a fight. This is quite possibly the easiest battle in the whole
game, because there is about a 99% chance that it will use "Escape Master" and
run from battle.
Keep going right until you see a hole with wind gusting from it. Follow the
path, but make sure you grab the treasure chest. Keep following the path right
until you get to the save point. Save. Make SURE that you have a good amount of
Heal Powders, a few Heal Leafs (if you don't have any, that's alright, just be
careful), and are at least level 9. 'Cause, at level 9, you get an extra Art
Block, and that's just what you'll need when you fight...
,---------------,
Elfin
`---------------`
You need to hit Elfin hard before he gets a lucky shot in and ends up killing
you. I suggest coming into the fight will full HP and AP. Start off by using a
few Super Arts (True Moon Slash is the one I use against him). Do that as much
as you can before he challenges you. You will lose all your AP. Then, start to
use any 4-block Normal Art, like Demon Thrust. Use that until you get enough
AP to start on your Super Arts again. When Elfin doubles his STR, either Guard
if you have full HP, or use a Healing Leaf/Powder to restore any lost HP. He
will take away around 450-ish HP, but you should be alive still. Heal up and
start the beating again. It might take a few tries, but Elfin will end up dead
at your feet. If you don't think you can survive his attacks, you might want
to use the Guard Oil you picked up.
After the scene, you are in battle again. You're supposed to lose against
Elliot and Marienne. That doesn't mean, however, you can't kill them. I've
heard people saying they killed Marienne, and she gives EXP when you lose. I've
yet to confirm this though. After you lose, there's another scene.

When you can move, examine the door. Another scene plays out. Pick whatever
choice you want, then watch the rest of the scene. From now on, I'll just let
you choose whatever choice you want, as most of them don't seem to any any real
effect to the game.
When you can move again, search the door. Keep examining it, eventually you'll
break it down. Once the door is open, head right and go down the stairs. Go
past the prison with the monster inside, and enter the northern door. Inside,
you can drink the green potion for a full heal. The yellow potion decreases
your HP, and the blue potion restores MP to full and lowers HP to 1. Go in the
southern door to get back all your items.
When you're done with that, go up the stairs to fight two guards. They aren't
that strong and you should have little trouble defeating them. There are now
random encounters in the halls with guards. When you finish the fight, continue
to the left. The barred metal doors are open, so you can continue on.
The northern door past the barred metal door contains two guards. Again, it's
an easy fight. Open the treasure chest for a Jab Charm, and search the drawers
for two Leaf of Staminas, and four Heal Leafs. The door to the south contains a
Darakin Rag-Autumn, just a magazine you can read. Exit via the left.
In this area, you must avoid the guards. That also includes being seen by them.
This isn't that hard, however if you get seen, you'll have to fight two guards.
This is a decent way for experience, if you so desire. If you get caught,
you'll have to start at the beginning. Not that bad of a punishment, really.
Use the hedges for cover while getting the treasure chests. There is a chest
in the middle of the hedges in the first area. To get it, try to enter from
the front of the hedge.
The second area is a bit tougher as there is less things to block the guards
view. It may take a few tries to get all the treasure, but you'll do it.
When you get through there, you'll be in the castle's main entrance. Save and
pull the lever to open the drawbridge, watch the scene, then prepare to face...
You have a choice before the fight. Fight one on one, or have Maya fight with
you. I'm not sure if either choice affects the game later on, but I ended up
choosing to fight one on one.
What can I say about Balken? He's slow as a rock and hits hard. Use Arts like
they're going out of style, and make sure Balken can't kill you with one of his
hits. He also has a special attack that can take away around 325 HP. He rarely
uses it twice in a row, but you should still be cautious. You don't have to
kill him before the drawbridge closes. Keep whacking and use a Heal Leaf when
needed.
After you defeat Balken, watch the scene, hop across the many roofs, and enter
the lighted window. Watch the scene, go downstairs, watch the scene, talk to
the woman, and watch the scene. After all the scenes, go upstairs and rest.
When you go back downstairs, talk to Sabrina. Afterwards, explore around town a
bit. Well, you don't have to, but I'd suggest upgrading all your equipment, and
maybe buy a few items here and there. But first things first. Go through the
arch at the top of the town to enter the Upper District. Go into the mansion
up the road and on the left, and talk to the man on the couch. He'll give you a
VIP card. NOW you can go equipment shopping.
Don't forget to search the houses for any items you might find too.
When you're done, it's off to...

This is probably one of the most straight-forward maps you'll find for a while.
Go straight ahead and get the treasure chest, then follow the path right. It's
that easy. Then, as usual, watch the scenes.
After the scene, leave the house and walk to the right to start the next event.
Afterwards, you'll be in battle against a Galduke. It should take 2 Normal Arts
to finish it off. It can blind you however, but it still shouldn't be too much
trouble.
After the rest of the scene plays out, Kazan tells you to go up the mountain
and fight the Mountain Morg. So lets get to it.
As with Mount Gabel, the path is fairly straight-forward, if not a bit long.
Keep to the path and grab the treasures.
Be careful about the Spike Lizards. While they don't do a lot of damage per
hit, they have the ability to inflict Venom on you. Not only does it do damage
every round like Poison, but you are unable to heal yourself while Venom-ized.
So you're running up the path and you noticed the land that sticks up from the
ground? Well, like the rocks and such before it, you can't do anything about it
yet. So keep going to the left. Save when you reach the save point, and enter
the cave.

When you exit the battle, you are thrown into battle with two Stone Beasts. But
not just you. Kazan is fighting as well, and with him, this battle is easier
than the Mountain Morg. After the fight, just go back down the mountain. An
event will start when you near the funny looking land that sticks out a bit.
And so we then enter, alone at that, the...

Why the sudden jump in recommended level? Simply put, the enemies in here hit
just as hard, if not harder, than ol' Balkin did before. Your best bet, unless
you are high-leveled, is just to try and run every fight. You might want to
skip the treasures for now, simply because the enemies hit hard. It's really
your choice.
But wait! Maya's coming with you too. So let's start the directions, shall we?
After the little tutorial, head to the left. Hop over the gap and destroy the
rock. There is a passage to the left of the rock that leads to a Magic Powder.
If you choose to get it, great. If not, keep going straight, into the next
room.
When you enter the next room, the doors shut. That's not a problem though. Call
Galea to smash the middle rock, then step on the stone slab that was revealed.
The doors will open up. Continue on.
Follow the path, go up the slight incline instead of right, and head down to
get a treasure chest. It contains a Heaven's Gate. Climb down the vines, and
head to the right. When the paths branch again, head up, and use Maya's Origin
on the vines to make them grow. Climb up the vines, grab the treasure chest,
and go back to the branched paths. Head right. Keep heading right until you
enter the next room.
This time the doors shut behind you. To get them to open, run to the right and
fight the two Galdunes. After they are defeated, continue on your way.
Head to the left to grab a Revival Elixer, then head right. Hop from pillar to
pillar, grabbing the Leaf of Appeal while you're at it. Keep heading right
until the paths branch. Head down. Enter the next room.
The doors close behind you as usual. If you bother to read the slab, it says
"Fire will reveal the path." So summon up Galea and light the torch and step
on the stone slab on the ground. Doors open up, you keep going down.
Climb down the vines, burn the vines, open the treasure chest. Keep moving down
until the paths split, then move down/left. Enter the next room.
"There is only one truth." To tell you the truth, I'm not sure what that means.
Either way, just light the left-most torch to be on your way.
And you're there! Pick up the scroll, exit south, and go left, then down!
FREEDOM!
Back on Mount Gabel, head to the left. Your destination is Kazen's shack.
Don't forget to use the scroll on Lang!
After a bit more talking, you all agree to head to Darakin. So start heading
down. Eventually, you'll end up making camp because it's getting dark. You'll
learn how to cook, how to camp, and if you didn't notice before, how to combine
things. All in all, it's a good trade-off. After you wake up, head down to the
bottom of the mountain. Since it's there, we might as well blow up the rock and
check what's behind it. Open the treasure chests and leave for...

Woah, hold on there. You probably aren't anywhere near level 19 yet, are you?
Well, if you go into Darakin and talk to the man to the left of you, he'll
tell you about his wanting to explore the Forest Maze. When he tells you this,
the Forest Maze opens up on the World Map...normally, the Forest Maze is much
too hard for you. Well, it still is. However, if you use Kazan's Earth Energy,
it will destroy the enemies, netting you about 3000 experience points per fight
and quite frankly, I suggest you do it. Perhaps level up to around 18-20 for
the upcoming dungeons...it pays off in the end.
If you choose to do that, great. If you don't great. Either way we're moving
on. Go in to the Upper District and talk to the guards. Seems access has been
blocked from the castle because the Sacred Aqua Stone is inside. If you search
the junk pile in the Poor District (I think I'm just making up these names as I
go along), you should find the Roshen's Emblem. If you take that to the Upper
District and show it to the man who is blocking the entrance to the hotel to
your right, he'll move out of the way. From there, go into the room south of
the clerk's desk, and into the bathroom. You'll notice a trap door there, next
to the bath. If you examine it, you'll open it up, and from there, you get to
enter...

I hate the sewers. They're confusing to write, and probably just as confusing
to try and read. But here goes anyways.
Start out by going down from the ladder. Hop onto the floating crates, onto the
other side of the water. From there, head right. Keep going right until you
enter a new area.
Go north and down the stairs. Keep heading down, then right, then go up the
stairs. Head left, grab the treasure chest, go down, and enter the door. Use
Galea to destroy the crates, and grab the red key. Head out the door, north,
down the stairs, left, up, up the stairs, down, and left, back into the first
area. Confusing yet? I'm sure it'll get worse.
Go down through the open door to the closed door. Unlock it just because, and
summon Galea to destroy the crates. Keep going down until you get to the red
door. Unlock it with the Red key, and flip the lever on the machine.
Leave the room, go up, destroy the crates again (how are they getting back
there anyways? Is someone following us and putting them there to piss us off?)
and go through the now-unlocked door. Go left and pass the first set of stairs,
but go down the second set. Cross over to get the treasure chest. You just got
the Old Map! You can use it for a map of the sewers, but it looks complicated.
Either way, head to the left. All the way to the left, into the next area, and
keep going left. Eventually you'll hit a treasure chest containing a Leaf of
Stamina. From there, head down, go down the stairs, up the other stairs on the
opposite side, and keep heading down. Go through the door on the right side.
Break the crate, get the Blue Key, break down the north wall, and open the
treasure chest.
Leave the room, go down the stairs, go up the opposite stairs, and head down.
Break the crates, get the two treasure chests, then head back up. When you get
to the two "bridges", head left without crossing over one, then down. Cross the
next bridge you see to get a treasure chest containing a Camping Kit, then go
in the door. Break the chests for a Healing Leaf, then leave. Go back across
the bridge, then back up. Follow the path, then go north across the bridge.
There should be an opened treasure chest (if you opened it at least). Go right
across the bridge, back to the first area. Hey, at least you're getting good
experience and items, right?
Head down across the bridge, and start heading right. Go down the second set of
stairs, still heading right. Turn down when you get the chance. Head up the
stairs on the right. There should be some glowing moss there. Go down as far as
you can, then left. Ignore the big black crate; there isn't anything you can do
with it yet. Keep heading left, then down. Grab the treasure, head right, break
the crates, go across the bridge and into the door, break the crates for an
item, and head back out across the bridge. Go left again, into the next area.
Head down, and take a right when you can. Enter the door using the Blue Key,
and flip the switch. If you're low on HP/MP, you might consider using the
Camping Kit you got earlier and rest, or cook something, or whatever. If you
need to, do it.
Leave the door, go left and up, down the stairs, and head up again. Go up the
stairs and pull the lever. Head out, down the stairs, and left. Follow the path
until you get to the crates. Destroy them for an item, then pull the lever
again. Go down, and climb the stairs on the left. Go up and left for a chest,
or just go down. Cross the bridge, cross the bridge to the right, and unlock
the door.
Go back down the stairs, head north, then follow the path to the right. When
you come to an T, go right for a treasure, then continue left. Follow the path
left, then climb the stairs when you get to them. Continue north and unlock the
door. Head down the stairs, go left, up, left, then up the stairs. You should
be at a door. Enter the door and summon Rivas to illuminate the moss. Finally,
the Yellow Key! If you want to exit the sewers and rest up, I would suggest to
do that now. Otherwise, let's finish this dungeon.
But first, let's grab a few treasures I missed. Leave the room, head down the
stairs and to the right. Follow the path, and head right, then up the stairs.
Go left, across the bridge, and into the next area. Go north across the bridge
and get the two chests, then head left and down the bridge. Once you cross it,
head left. Follow the path downwards afterwards. When you see the bridge
heading north, cross it and head right, then up. Head left all the way then,
and grab the Way of Rage, the Hyper Art scroll for Kazan. That's all that
really matters down here, so go back to the first area.
Leave, go down the stairs, go right, down, right, climb the stairs, go down, go
down the stairs, follow the path downwards, at the branch go down, follow that
path down until the next area. (What a run-on sentance!) Head up the stairs, go
down across the bridge, keep going that way until you reach another bridge. Go
across it, then head left. Keep going left, head down, go in the door using the
Yellow Key, flip the switch, hop across the floating crates, head north into
the first door. Grab the chest and leave the room. Climb the ladder, then go
back down to the Sewers. Trust me on this :) Summon Galea and break down
the wall inbetween the first and second doors...

It's been a while since you've fought a real boss, hasn't it? There is really
only one thing you can do right now though...attack with Normal Arts to get

then beat him into the ground using Hyper Arts and Super Arts. Just make sure
you stay alive for the cutscene to happen! As long as you keep your HP up, he
shouldn't be too much trouble.
Another event later, and we're on our way. Head north through the door, and go
into another door. Search the desk drawers for two items, then leave. Go into
the door to the left, and you will see a number of colored pedestals. Light up
the pedestals in this order: Yellow, Indigo, Red, then Green. The door will

Go right through the hallway, and enter the right-most door. For this puzzle,
you must light the correct pedestals. Imagine it's a clock. Now light it like
this. Light the 7 o'clock pedestal, then the 3 o'clock one, then the 5 o'clock

The brother of Mighty Balkin, they're nearly identical. Raynof is slow and hits
hard. There are three tactics you can use to beat him. First, just pummel Ray
into the ground with Mystic Arts. He should die fairly quickly.
You can summon your Origins at him, eliminating his Crimson Warriors as well as
knocking off some of Raynof's HP. When you've exhausted your MP, just pummel
him with Super Arts and Hyper Arts. He should die fairly quickly again.
The last technique I haven't tried, however I've heard it works. Kill one of
the Crimson Warriors but leave the other one alone. Use various Status Effects
and Status Lowering items on that one...a paralyzed Warrior doesn't kill. Then
just beat Raynof into a bloody pulp. Either of these tactocs should work well.
When Raynof falls, save, heal if needed, and go through the northern door.
After the short scene, prepare to fight...
Like the fight against Slogar, you can't damage him. Watch the various scenes,
and when you hear the voice speaking to Maya, input this command for her. ONLY
these four commands, nothing else. Earth, Wind, Water, Fire. If done correctly,
she will use Big Bang. Zoan Stoara's invincibility is gone. If you have any MP
left, summon your Origins or use a Mystic Art. Just pummel away, heal when
needed. Like most bosses thus far, he should die without TOO much trouble.
After the small scene, it's time to take back the Aqualith back to Nohl. So,
let's go. When you arrive in Nohl, watch the cutscene, then place the Aqualith
back in the lake. Afterwards, go into the mansion. Go towards the kitchen, and
watch the scene. Afterwards, go to the left-most room and talk to Galvan twice.
Kazan will earn the nickname "Bottomless". Then, go into your room and take a
nap.
When you wake up, leave the mansion, watch the event, then choose to go after
Galvan. I think that all the choices make you go to Hunter's Woods, but I've
yet to confirm the last choice, to take it easy. So meh.
In Hunter's Woods, you'll get into a fight. Learn the new Hyper Arts from Kazan
then start to head to the back of the woods. You should know the path. All of
the monsters have gotten a bit stronger as well.
Watch the scene when you get to the back, then you're in another fight. New
monsters, stronger monsters. Kill them, then head back to Nohl. The enemies got
a lot harder, so you might want to use a Heaven's Gate to avoid the fights.
Either way, when you get back to Nohl, watch the scene, then leave the village.
Another scene. Your next destination is the Forgotten Village Yuno, but first
go to Mount Gabel to get the Mizen Red Sand.
Mount Gabel is easy enough that I don't have to write much about it. That's
always a plus. Anyways, go up to Kazan's shack, and enter. After the scene,
rest in the bed if you need a quick heal, then leave. Go to Darakin.
Near the arch, in the back of town, is Kenjiro. Talk to him, watch the scene,

bridge. Once you cross it, head left. Follow the path downwards afterwards.
When you see the bridge heading north, cross it and head right, then up. Stand
on the broken bridge, and summon Arrode to open the door. Head down across the
bridge, and head back the way you came. When you come to the bridges, head up
and left. Follow the path, go through the now-open door, and start grabbing the
chests. When they're all looted, head right, into the first area.
Head right, across the bridge, then down the stairs. Go left, then follow the
path downwards. Grab the treasure chest, then head back and go up the bottom
set of stairs. Head down the next set of stairs, and follow the path down. When
you come to the intersection, continue down.
Head down when you get the chance, and go up the right set of stairs. Continue
down, and go left across the bridge. Keep going left, hop on the floating
crates, and go into the hole. It's time for...

Oh boy, more fun. Head north through the two open doors, watch the scene. Head
right, follow the path, and head right down the stairs. Open the door, grab the
Prison Key, and leave. Go left up the stairs, then head left. Pass the door to
the north, keep going left. Go through the door just before the start of the
stairs. Light both pedestals, and go through the door to the north. Head left,
down the ladder, then left again. Go through the door, grab the Power Necklace,
then go back to the pedestal room. Estinguish the two pedestals, head right,
and go into the door to the north.
For this puzzle, examine the pedestals, and light any pedestal that doesn't
have a letter found in the word "SNAKE". If you don't want to look, light the
upper-left pedestal, the middle pedestal, the middle-right pedestal, and the
lower-left pedestal. The door will open, so continue on.
Head right, and keep heading right. Head upwards, and enter the door. Step on
all the switches, grab the chests in the opposite two rooms, and step on those
switches. Next, go into the main room and step on the two switches that open
the side doors...if you can't understand that, just step on all the switches,
and step on the second switch to the right, and the third switch to the right
(not the one directly north of the door). The door will open...grab the chests
and leave. It's late and I can't think straight, sorry for the bad puzzle
explanation.
Head down and left, and go down the "elevator". Summon Arrode when you reach
the bottom to raise up two platforms...cross either one, take the two chests,
and exit via the northern "elevator". Enter the door in front of you for a
chest, then go to the left. Enter the door there.
This puzzle again, eh? Do nothing to the first pedestal. Estinguish the second
pedestal. Light the third pedestal, and the door will open. That was fun!
Rest up/Cook/Combine/Save/Whatever at the tent, then continue on. Go past the
summoning room. Go and enter the door to the left, the one that's closed. It's
the ol' Colored Pedestal puzzle. Light them in the following order...if it
doesn't work, make sure you're lighting the Blue Pedestal instead of the Indigo
Pedestal. Here's the order: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, and
Violet last. The door will open, so continue through.
Head left, zap the switch, cross the platform, and grab the treasure chest to
the right. Leave, and go right. Go past the firstdoor, and enter the other one.
And it's the dreaded clock! First, light the 8 o'clock pedestal. Estinguish the
4 o'clock pedestal. Light the 7 o'clock pedestal, then the 3 o'clock one.
Estinguish the 8 o'clock pedestal, light the 1 o'clock pedestal, then light the
5 o'clock one. Finally, estinguish the 12 o'clock pedestal. Exit through the
northern door.
Summon Galea to break down the wall to reveal a hidden Thunder Switch. Use
Arrode on it to summon a platform, and cross it. Blast the skeletons with Galea
and keep heading left. Light the Thunder Switch, and head across the platform.
Enter the door and grab the four treasure chests. One of them contains a scroll
for a new Hyper Art for Sharon. After that's done, leave, go north, then right,
and enter the door to the north. Climb the ladder, and we're done with the
Kabal ruins again!

Bubba
`---------------`
Woooo, he hits hard. Expect to be bashed by Hyper Arts every round or so, which
can take away as much as 2500 HP. A decent strategy, assuming you have full HP
and MP, is to smack him around with Normal Arts the first round of battle. Then
Guard with everyone...he'll do a Hyper Arts on someone. Since everyone is
Guarding, it shouldn't kill you, but it WILL take you to less than half HP. I'd
say it's time to give Bubba a taste of some Mystic Arts. After that, keep
Guarding with the other two characters, and have the third heal him/herself,
smacking Bubba with Hyper Arts later. If someone gets KO'd, revive them, and
hope Bubba doesn't keep using Hyper Arts. It may take a few tries, but Bubba
will die sooner or later.
*****
From henry rouchville...a nice trick to beating Bubba.
First, you need to be level 37-39, for the speed. Next, start the battle in
Mystic Art condition, a.k.a. half HP, 100 MP, full AP. When the fight starts,
use everyone's Mystic Art. It will kill Bubba before he can even land a punch.
It should work pretty well, although I've yet to test it.
*****
When you beat Bubba, he'll splurt out some nonsense, and leave you with the
Kravian Pass. Pick it up, exit the castle and the town, and enter the Freecity,
Kravia.
After the scene, you can do a few things. Search around for treasure chests and
the like, you can upgrade your equipment, you can talk to the girl next to the
alley, pay her 1000 gold to hear her secret, throw up, and earn a new nickname.
You can even go to the Hunter's Guild and take some jobs. If you're low on cash
that's the thing to do. The Hunter's Guild is the first house south of the save
point. Can't miss it.
After you're through playing around, it's time to go to Tanza. Head south
through the gates, watch the scene, then leave town. Go into Tanza.

house to take a quiz...how good is YOUR knowledge of Legaia 2 so far? If you
get all the answers correct, you'll get a new nickname, and the Adventurer's
Kit (5 Camping Kits, 1 Flag of Retreat, and 1 Hell's Path). While you're here,
you can also sell those monster parts you've gotten over the course of the game
for a good ammount of gold to the man. Upgrade your equipment at the shop to
the right of the save point. Go to the opposite house on the other side, the
Hot Springs. Head upstairs and enter the door to watch a short scene. You'll
get a new Hyper Arts scroll for Kazan.
When you're through, it's time to head to Darek's Haunt.

Follow the path to the right. Head south to pick up the Hunter's Orb, then go

Head back south, and climb the vines. Grab the Lightning Tear, and hop over the
gap. Head northeast, follow the path. Zap the blob-ooze thing with Arrode, and
continue into the next area.
Insert the Lightning Tear into the block to your right, then cross over the
lightning pad to your north. Keep heading north, into the next area.
Use Deva on the dirt patch to hop up the ledge, and continue to the left. Head
down the hill, summon Galea to break the blocks, grab the Hyper Arts scroll for
Sharon, and head back, up the hill. Leave the area by going right, then come
back. The blocks will be there again...so head left, then north when you can.
Cross over the blocks and grab the Magic Bottle. Head out the area.
Head south along the left path, and cross the lightning pad. Keep heading south
and cross another one. Finally, head south into a new area.
Head down...another blob-ooze thing. Keep heading down, and head right at the
interesection. Head down...then left at the next intersection. Use Galea to
destroy the rock, then use Rivas on the vine. Climb it, follow the path, hop
the gap, then use Arrode to zap the blob. Hop over that gap, head right, down,
and open the treasure chest. Another Lightning Tear. Head north, hop the gap,
and follow it back down. Climb down the vine, go right, north, and at the
intersection head left. Grab the Guardian Orb from the chest, and go back up.
Exit this area.
Go to the left, and cross the Lightning Pad. Head to the right, and remove the
Lightning Tear from the block. Head north, cross the lightning pad, head south
and place a Lightning Tear in the block. Go right, follow the path, head left,
and insert another Lightning Tear in that block. Head right, grab the chest,
and fight the Jelly Melt. You might be able to zap it with Arrode, but I lost
my chance before I could try it. So...meh. Head right into the next area.
Head north, use Rivas on the vines, and climb them. Grab the chest, head back
down. Continue heading downwards, and head north at the intersection. Summon
Deva at the rock blocks to ride upwards. Grab the Lightning Tear, and head back
down the rock pillar. Use Galea to smash the rocks blocking your way. Head up
and grab the last Lightning Tear. Head back left...all the way, past the
intersection, and keep heading left until you go into a new area.
Head north and follow the winding path around. Place a Lightning Tear in the
two blocks. Horray for mini-events! Anyways, go to the middle of the area. It
really doesn't matter how you get there, just go there. But make sure you heal
up and save first...'cause you're about to fight...
His physical attacks take away 1000 HP total...not too bad actually. His magic
attack hits all characters for about 1000 HP. Unleash Mystic Arts, Variable
Arts, and Hyper Arts to finish him off. He isn't that much trouble if you come
prepared. Also note, in my game at least, he did physical attack, magic,
physical, magic, and so forth. I'm not sure if he does that all the time, but
in my game he did. That makes him very predictable. One Variable Art and a
Mystic Art should kill him.
After the fight, use the Spell of Thunder you got from him on Maya. Heal up and
leave the Thunder Mines. Go back to Darek's Haunt.
Go on board the ship, and talk to the guy in red, standing near the...big pole.

Continue to head north, and pass the branch to the right. The hell with that,
it doesn't lead anywhere, so phooey with it. Keep heading north. At the next

In this room, use Ayne's skill to shove the rock onto the grey platform. Summon
Deva to raise the whole platform, then use Ayne to shove it on the switch. Step
on the runes to warp into a new room. Grab the two chests, then leave. Head out
of the room, and back to the intersection.
This time, head northwest. Next, head southwest to grab a chest. Go back, then
continue to head northwards. When you see the rock pillar, stand next to it and
summon Deva. Go through the opening, grab the two chests, then stand on the
pillar. Summon Deva, and head left. Hop down the two ledges, grab the two
treasure chests, and hop the rest of the way down. Summon Deva at the pillar,
summon him again when you're on the pillar, head left, and go north through the
opening. Yow, two Hyper Art scrolls in one room. Creepy.
Use Ayne to give the shoulder to the rock, then head to the northern rock. Use
Ayne to smash that one to the south, so you can walk from the big rock on to
the little one....oh hell, just make it so you can leap the gap over to the
runes on the left ledge. That's simpler than my directions. Grab the chests,
then step on the runes to exit. Hoppy, hoppy, leave the room, enter again.
Shove the large rock up, shove the smaller rock to the right, climb, hop, and
continue through the opening to the north.
Rest up and save. Afterwards, head north. Continue heading north into the next
area, then step on the runes. Head northwest, then left. Keep to the northern
wall when going left, and grab the chest. Head right. Open the door and enter.
Ooh, a shoving game. Have Ayne shove the top-most white crystal left, then up.
Next, shove the middle crystal left, then up. Finally, shove the white crystal
left. Oh boy, that was fun :)
So leave the room and step on the magic circle (runes) to the southeast.
Head northwest. Head into the door to your right. Whee, I just love these
pushing puzzles :) Push the crystal furthest to the right, to the left, into
the rock. Then shove it up. Summon Galea to break the rock, then shove the
crystal up. Puzzle complete. Step on the runes, grab the chests, then leave.
Back in the hallway, head left. All the way left. Step on the runes, and go
into the next area.
Wow, it's getting hot. Follow the path all the way to the right, and enter the
door. Man, you just know how I love these shoving puzzles. No, I'm not being
sarcastic. It's a hobby :) Anyways...first, shove the grey block lowest to the
south left. Shove the crystal furthest up to the right, then shove it down.
Then shove it left...that's one down. Next, shove the grey block furthest south
to the right twice...as far right as it will go. Shove the grey block to the
north down a space. Shove the crystal furthest south to the right, then shove
it up. Two down, one to go. Shove the grey block furthest north to the left,
and then up. It should be in the northwest corner. Finally, shove the last
crystal to the left. It should run into the crystal in the middle of the floor.
Shove the crystal up into the grey block, then left. Another fun puzzle is done
:)
Step on the runes, grab the chests, then go back into the hallway. Head left
until you get to the opening, and enter. Rest and save at the tent. Head north.
And all I have to say is it's about time. We finally get to beat...
...to a bloody pulp. Oh goody! I'd suggest you take out the fat one first, just
because she's fat. It's a gruesome sight. You know the drill by now, Mystic
Arts and Variable Arts when possible, heal and revive when needed. The only
thing you really have to watch for is Elliott's Hyper Arts. Unlike Marienne's
Arts, his actually can do a good ammount of damage.
Bada-bing, bada-boom. A cutscene, and fatty is back in action. I'm not sure if
this is just my file, but Marienne just kept casting Rapture after Rapture...I
suppose she was fed up with doing 20 damage per hit. Just keep with the same
strategy as above, focusing most of your attacks on Marienne. After a bit,
Marienne will get KO'd. Just lay the smack down on Elliott...it shouldn't take
too much to bring him down as well.
After the scene, go back and heal up. Save if you want to, then continue on. Go
through the runes.
Head north. Head right at the intersection and follow the path, eventually
hopping over the gaps. Grab the treasure chest, hop to the left, and continue
north. Follow the path northwards, until you go into a new area.
Follow the path northwards until a path branches to the left. Take it, grab the
treasure chest, and head back, going north. Enter the next area.

finished, head north (as usual). Watch the event, and get ready to fight...

`---------------`
Is it just me, or does Slogar have too many different names? Oh well. At least
this fight is different...you can damage Slogar right off the bat! As with most
bosses up until now, Variable Arts and Mystic Arts work wonders. Val is quite
slow this time around (of course he was every other time...) so if you need to
heal, you most likely can. Slogar casts a few different Fire elemental spells
at you, nothing to worry about. Most hit you for around 1000 HP or so.
After a bit of damage, a cutscene will start. Watch it... *cheers* Woooooooo!
Anyways, focus on the hand. Attackk it with Variable Arts, and if you get the
chance, Mystic Arts. Slogar's attacks have been upgraded, and his arm is a
heavy hitter. Just keep bashing the hand.. Keep your HP above 1500, as Slogar
sometimes uses his "Titan Fist", which can take away around 1250 on all. When
Slogar stores up power, I'd suggest guarding with everyone, as he's about to
use his Meteor Breath. When the hand dies, that's one less magic user you have
to worry about. Bash Slogar with everything you have, and he should die
eventually. Good luck.
After you win, heal up and head out. Step on the red magic circle to go to the
entrance, and head left. When you exit, it's time to head back to Jinga.
Head northwest until you reach the elder. Talk to him, and exit the room. So,

Rauss
`-----------------`
Hey, be happy. At least you aren't fighting another Slogar...all those names
confused me. Anyways, he hits for a nice ammount of damage...8 times. Making
the grand total around 2000 damage per round. Mystic Arts and Variable Arts are
what make the world go round, as they say. After Rauss uses his Hyper Art, why
not use Lang's new Hyper Art against him? That should do well. Afterwards, you
will notice Rauss' speed increased dramatically. He also seems to do more
damage per hit, or at the least uses his Hyper Arts (yes, he has more than one)
more frequently. Keep healing, keep attacking, and hopefully he'll die. Just
pray that you don't die to him...then you'll have to hear Rauss yelling into
the microphone again. I lost my first time through...he gave me a headache.
Again, good luck. I _HIGHLY_ recommend you are level 54 or higher for this
fight. If you use Maya, this fight will be easier due to Gospel (hint hint).
*****
I recieved an e-mail from Aoshi0@aol.com and he said that Rauss did only about
500 damage per combo, and only 1200 when Rauss went "insane". He was level 50,
so I'm guessing it's because I hadn't upgraded my armor since Kravia. So, maybe
Rauss isn't that tough. I dunno now.

My god, that was unneedlessly hard. Head north and grab the Aerolith. Watch the
scene, then step on the red...magic circle, I suppose. Head south. Before you
go to Demiurge Tower, I'd suggest you buy some weak armor and weapons, go to
Camp, and start making things. Try to earn the nicknames "Blacksmith" and
"Weaponsmith". Once you do, talk to Kenjiro or Monjiro. Ken is on the Blood
Hawk in Darek's Haunt, and Mon is near the mansion in Nohl. Keep pestering them
and eventually they'll give you the locations of the Ultimate Weapon Shop, for

Head north, watch the cutscene. Afterwards, head to the right, follow the small

then prepare to fight...
Smack the crud out of Velna. Because, as far as I know, you can't damage her
Origin. She uses a nasty attack called Twisted Hell, taking away 2500-ish on
one character. Ouchies. Velna also uses Judgement...which doesn't seem to do
anything. After a little bit of attacking, Velna falls...she seems to only
have around 35-40k HP. Afterwards, smash up Vestra. Normal attacks won't work,
so use your Origin and (maybe) Mystic Arts. To tell you the truth, I was away
from the TV after I entered my commands...one Mystic Art, one Origin attack,
and one to heal. I came back, and I won...so I'm assuming Mystic Arts work on
Vestra. Sorry :( If someone can confirm if you can or can't use Mystic Arts on
Vestra, I'd be very happy :)
So, after the fight you get to watch a cutscene. Afterwards, use the new Hyper

Head north, and go down the elevator. Save and rest at the tent if you need to,
then head north some more and climb the wall. Head to the left, all the way, to

Follow the path, and head right at the intersection. Grab the treasure chest,
and head north. Follow the winding path down, and continue south. Go right at
the intersection, and enter the tree. Heal up and examine the ...thing...and
get ready to fight the...
I'm not really sure this is a boss fight...it's rather easy. One Variable Arts
should kill it...if you decide to fight the long way, more power to you. Just
smack it with Hyper Arts for a bit...it uses a nice Magic combo (ala Maya) for
a bit of damage, so be prepared.
Anyways, leave the room and head south. Continue to the south until you get
outside...head right and grab the chest. Go back in. Head north and right. Go
right until you get to the elevator...go down.
Follow the path until you hit a 4-way intersection...head north. Enter the tree
and examine the thing, and get ready to fight...
This is the same thing as the last fight, only this crystal uses different
attacks than the last. Variable Arts should kill it. No trouble.
Head out and back down to the intersection. Head right, eventually going down

Rest, save, whatever at the tent, then continue on to the right. Grab the two
treasure chests (the one has Ayne's Hyper Art, Earth's Teachings), and head
left. Go up the elevator. Head back to the intersection, and head south. Exit
the cave. Follow the path to the right, and enter the cave at the bottom.
Take the first left you can, grab the two chests, and head back. Head to the
north. Follow the path until you see a cave opening to your north...enter and
prepare to fight another Wicked Crystal. Same strategies as before. Head out of
the cave, and to the right. Hop down the elevator.
Follow the path until the path brances. Head south, and go outside. Follow the
path to the right, and enter the cave. Open the two chests, smash the rock, use
Ayne to lift the chest, and open it. Leave, and head back to the intersection.
Head north this time, and head down the elevator.
Rest up and save at the tent, and continue to the north. Insert the three gems
you got from the Wicked Crystals, and go through, as long as you're prepared.
After the event, it's time to fight...
Smack Avalon up with a Variable Art or two. It shoulnd't be that hard...
Watch the event. Now, it's time for the real final battle against Avalon.
This is no different than every other boss fight in the game. Beat Avalon up

Infinite One isn't so infinite anymore. He'll die...good luck.
Keep at it with the Variable Arts or Hyper Arts. He's nothing compared to the
other Avalons you've fought so far, and he's insignificant compared to the
Infinite One.
Watch the ending, pat yourself on the back, do a victory jig in your underwear,
whatever. Cause you just beat Legaia 2: Duel Saga.

o Quick Level Ups o

After the Cave of Trials, go to the Forest Maze. The enemies will be extremely
strong. However, if you use Kazan's magic, Earth Energy, you will kill the
enemies. This is a good way of leveling up quickly during the beginning of the
game. You get around 3000 EXP per fight.

o Quick Coins in Phorchoon o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
If you want to get coins in Phorchoon quickly, go to the Battle Arena. Fight in
Free Fight. But first, unequip all accessories from anyone other than Lang, and
use bad equipment for everyone other than Lang. Things bought in the "bad" shop
in Darakin Citadel for example. If you fight your party members, they'll either
not attack before you, or do low damage. You get 1140 coins for winning Free
Fight, one of the quickest ways of getting Coins.

o Quicker Access to Phorchoon o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
As soon as you get the Blood Hawk, go to Kravia, and enter the Hunter's Guild.
Talk to Stiel...keep bugging him. Eventually, he'll tell you where the "secret
island" is. Why bother doing this? Simple...you can get weapons, armor, and
items a lot better NOW than you currently can. Who wouldn't want a stronger
weapon for Lang before you're supposed to get it? Please note, you won't be
able to partake in the Championship Tournament until you're supposed to in the
story...so stick to Free Fight.

o Infinite Gold o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
There are two ways you can do this. The first way you can do once you first get
into Yuno. You need at least 1770 gold to start. First, go to Darakin Citadel
and buy an equal ammount of Dirty Clothes, Zuvel Furs, and Izumel Bronze from
the junk shop. Next, head to the accessory shop, and buy Gorum Hemp Cloth and
Sodan Poison Cloth. Head out, and go to Yuno. Buy some Raw Ruby and Olbe Gold
Dust from the Item shop. Head into camp, and start combining the Dirty Clothes
into Gorgeous Dresses. Sell them and repeat. You will also get the title
"Blacksmith" for doing this.
The second way is easier, quicker, and gives you more money, but you need to be
able to go to the Secret Shop (see below). Buy as many Earth Dragon Wings from
the material guy, then head to Jinga. Trade those for the Armor (it's the only
thing there you can trade for the Wings). Sell the armor for 32,500 gold each.
Rinse and repeat.

o The Secret Map Areas o
ooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo
SECRET MARKET - After you finish up Ellsworth Island, talk to Kenjiro or
Monjiro. Buy some stuff from them...like Poison Cure. Finish shopping, and if
you're lucky, they'll tell you the location of the Secret Market.
ULTIMATE ARMOR SHOP - After you've unlocked Demiurge Tower, get the nickname
"Blacksmith". Go to Monjiro, talk to him, and exit from the conversation. He'll
tell you where the Armor shop is. You don't have to buy anything from him.
SUPREME WEAPON SHOP - After you've unlocked Demiurge Tower, get the nickname
"Weaponsmith". Go to Kenjiro, talk to him, and exit from the conversation.
He'll tell you where the Weapon shop is. You don't have to buy anything from
him.
GORDINAR ISLE - After you finish up Ellsworth Island, talk to Dupon on the
Blood Hawk. He'll ask if you want to be a crew member after you're done with
your adventure. If you say yes, he'll give you a Star Bandana. Go into Sharon's
room afterwards and talk to the parrot. It will tell you where Gordinar Isle is
located.
Have a trick that's good? Send it to me and it will be added. You will get full
credit for it.

*** Wanted Info ***

Information about the various choices that get presented to you in game. Do
they do anything different? Any special titles you get?
A better set of directions for the first time through the sewers. Granted, mine
will get you from start to finish, only you'll be so confused from following my
directions you'll think you're insane. So if you can get a good set of
directions, send 'em in.

All of the members at the Legaia 2 Message Board here at GameFAQs. They ended
up motivating me to write this FAQ.
CJayC for hosting this FAQ, and GameFAQs in general.
ZArchangel1@aol.com for the magic lists.
Various people who sent in different nicknames for characters, as well as other
various information. (My Hard Drive crashed, so I lost all the names...if you
want your names up here, re-send the e-mail ^_^)
All the people who told me where I could find the Hyper Arts. The list, as of
today (see version date) is, in no particular order: Andri Kurniawan,
tenshimail, heedo eui, Nathaniel Winters, HolyBomb, Tracid, James Henderson,
Christopher Rivera, Lrg3rdCup@aol.com, DBAuronX@aol.com,GMasterWarrior@aol.com,
HeavensBlades555@aol.com, Jason Shlansky, Josh Freedman, Shih, Mr Christian,
and Brian. If you want your name/email taken off of here, e-mail me and I will.
Vash Riftwalker and TheMethod79@aol.com for 'reminding' me that you can go down
the ladder to basically skip the sewers the second time.
Dragen and Milliardo from the Legaia 2 message boards for the Infinite Money
trick.
And last but not least, Space Ghost for hours of late-night entertainment while
writing this FAQ. Without him and Zorak, I would never have made it.
As long as you can bear through a bit of leveling up on this game, it's fun. I
would really like to see more battle systems make their way into RPGs, such as
this...it's such a refreshing experience.
And if you finished reading down to hear, I'd like to personally thank you. I'm
sure it wasn't easy trying to read all this crap I ended up writing, not to
mention the whole layout of the FAQ. I'll change it later, but it'll do for
now.
