One of the coolest thing about this game that it's in both English and Japanese!!!
For those who can't understand a shred of japanese here's instructions on how to
change the game language (if you haven't already figured it out).
First off go to options, the following screen will be laid out accordingly
(note the default language is Japanese)
CONTROLLER SETTINGS LOAD & SAVE
SOUND SETTINGS LANGUAGE SELECTION
EXIT
Go to language selection (last option in 2nd row)
Go to the 3rd row, and change this option to the option on the left, this will
make all your menus in english, and from there you'll be able to understand
all the other options.
**NOTE: On the Japanese version, this needs to be done as it doesn't
save the language settings.

Q: Can I play it on the US PS2?
A: Unfortunatly there hasn't been a Mod Chip to date that'll let you play imports on
the PS2, so only those with a Japanese system can play the game (at least until
march).
Q: Does the Game require a high level of japanese to understand?
A: No, the beauty of the game is that it's duel langauge both Japanese and English
Q: Why is it that when I change my controller settings, then load my game in story mode
that it resets to the controls I had before?
A: What happens when you load your game is that it changes everything to last save state,
if you want to have your changes to the controller settings kept when you load, you
need to save it in the options menu
Q: How do I use the Extra Skills?
A: All extra skills are done by pressing a combination of buttons which can be found in
either this faq or in the pause screen of the game. Remember that SION, VOLT, and KOU
need to earn their ES in the story mode.
Q: What's the story??
A: See info in next section
Q: How long the game take??
A: The game takes just about 4-6 hours to pass once, but however the game has tremendous
replayablity, so it actually lasts longer.
Q: Sometimes I do an attack that has all three bouncers teaming up on one character,
How is this done?
A: Basically all you have to do is taunt (Gesture) within a window of time while
another character is doing a taunt. When you here one of your teammates doing their
gesture, try to do yours as quickly as possible an the tri attack will happen.
Note that the attack depends on who you're playing at the time, and this attack will
not work on bosses.

Q: What's the main difference between the US game and the Japanese one
A: Don't know yet as the US hasn't been released yet, though I'll make sure I'll put what
differences there are (if any).

From DOG STREET, you can see the MIKADO BUILDING,
the headquarters of the multinational MIKADO GROUP corporation.
You can expect to find many bouncers in the bars in this part of town.
SION, KOU, and VOLT are bouncers who defend their bar, FATE,
from any hooligan that tries to invade their territory.
DOMINIQUE, a young girl SION found lying in the middle of town,
eventually becomes a mascot for the bar FATE,
though nobody really knows where she comes from.
For a while, everything is peaceful and boring.
Suddenly, however, DOMINIQUE is kidnapped by MIKADO's Special Forces.
What is MIKADO up to?
What is DOMINIQUE's secret?

The story mode has different branches, but for the most part there is really

Bouncer is unique that it takes full advantage of the duel shock controller
It uses the analog buttons along with the D-Pad as well.
For moving purposes, you can either use the D-Pad, or the left stick, when using the D-pad
take note that each direction is also analog or pressure sensative. if you lightly hold the
direction you'll be walking, but if you apply maximum pressure you'll begin to run
As for the attack buttons, there are 2 levels that apply in THE BOUNCER, light and hard.
In the options for controller setting, there is section where you can change and
test sensitivity. Any pressure below halfway will be considered light in the game, and
anything beyond halfway will be considerd hard. Practice it for a while as it is very
useful in the game

* GAME TIP -=- During the story mode, the best thing to do is concentrate on getting
the stats up as opposed to getting more moves. This really helps the
first time through the game...
* GAME TIP -=- Do a chain attack to get more Bouncer Points, to get a chain bonus
defeat 2 or more enemies within 5 seconds of each other.
* SECRET -=- To level up the extra characters you must beat them in story mode. Every
time you beat a character S/he will go up to the rank of the character
that you beat them with. With the case of Dominique, she goes up
to match whomever is escorting her.
* GAME TIP -=- To access alternate costumes / colors for selected characters (all modes
besides story) , hold either R1,R2,L1 or L2 while choosing character
(note that R1 is actually the default costume/color).
* GAME TIP -=- Here's a reference for the signals Kou uses when he's dressed as the enemy
TRIANGE: (Salute) Old Man in thought
Maintain security using extreme caution

* SECRET -=- The game has 6 endings. Each character has 2 endings, a normal one
and a special one. If don't fufill the criteria for the special endings
you'll get the normal endings. Here's how to get the special endings:
SION: Make sure Sion isn't the one to defeat Kaldea before the final
battle with Dauragon, then complete the game with him (unlocks Wong)
VOLT: Make sure Volt is the one to defeat Echidna in every match that
involves her, and then finish game using Volt
KOU: Go through entire story mode with Kou. (unlocks Leann)
* SECRET -=- To unlock WONG LEUNG during story mode have either Kou or Volt beat Kaldea
then finish the game with Sion. (Thanks greatly to John Lee)
* SECRET -=- To unlock LEANN CALDWELL go through the entire game using only Kou
(this is how I did it, if anyone knows a better way, let me know)
* SECRET -=- To unlock DAURAGON C. MIKADO (no shirt) you must beat the story mode at
least 3 times.
* GAME TIP -=- When going to get either Wong and Leann, be sure that Sion and Kou are already
Rank S, so this way when you unlock them, they'll already be at rank S, and
you don't have to go through the process twice.
