Good God, this looks freakish! Like some kind of mix between Misery and the skinless dude from Hellraiser, Winterskin follows Billy Cavanagh, who is shot out in the freezing, snowy wilderness and desperate for shelter. Near death, Billy is taken in by an unhinged old lady named Agnes, unaware that her isolated log cabin is being stalked by a bloodthirsty skinless creature hellbent on getting inside. Lots of screaming ensues.
The movement of the monster is pretty horrifying, the flick looks like it's going to degenerate into a bloodbath, and man, that old lady is a freakshow. Out on DVD/VOD in the States on May 21st, Winterskin stars David Lenik, Rowena Bentley, Barrington De La Roche, Peter Cosgrove, John Lomas, Kate Davies Speak, Harrison Nash, Dylan Curtis, Richard Myers, Swainley Whipps Eden-Entwistle, with Daniel McKee and Sam Lane.
