1. INTRODUCTION
Well, this is going to be an interesting walkthrough, but hey,
yesterday was White
Day (Japanese Valentines part 2), and I'm feeling goofy so I thought I'd
write a FAQ for
this game, though I'm not sure if anyone will read it.
In any case if you don't know who Puffy are they are a Japanese pop duo.
They
debuted in 1996 with their slogan "This is not a dance music!", and have
went on to
release 4 albums since then. Puffy's main charm is their lame half-assed
dancing they
do during their live shows (reminiscent of early eighties Bannarama). Puffy
also has
great songs mostly written by Japanese guitar hero and former unicorn member
"Tamio
Okuda". Puffy also has connections with Parappa the Rapper artist Rodney
Greenblat
and Velvet Crush guitarist Andy Sturmer, who also writes a lot of their
songs. Nyami
and Mimi from the Pop n' Music game series are a clear Puffy rip-off/
imitation.
P.S. I LOVE YOU, was released in Japan last year but quickly disappeared
from the
market as it's limited copies were swept up by rabid Puffy fans. The game
has 5 song
video clips and a couple of mini games, but basically it's about the videos.
If you don't
like Puffy and are buying this game for the game content you are an idiot.
On the
other hand if you are cool enough to be a Puffy fan this game is really
really cool!
Unfortunately I think this game is out of print now, but I was lucky enough
to find it
used yesterday. Yeaa!

2. THE MAIN MENU
After you insert your game and it loads up you'll see a screen with 4
mushrooms.
They are as follows
Digital Photo Game (Red)
Multi-angle (Yellow) Video (Green)
Shooting game (Blue)

If your Gun controller is installed you'll see a pink mushroom in the
lower right hand
corner shoot this to activate your gun. Now using the D-pad (or gun) choose
what
stage you want to go to by pressing the CIRCLE button (or shooting it).
Have fun!
==================================================================
3. MULTI-ANGLE
When the screen loads you can choose from one of 2 songs,
"Ai no Shirushi",
or
"Kore ga watashi no ikiru michi".
Both songs are from their Jet Tour 98' concert. Once you choose a song
(same
method as choosing a stage) you'll be given the following optionsc
1. Start Multi-angle video
2. View preset video (the video you just made with the first choice)
3. Save (the video you just made with the first choice)
4. Load (an old video)
Assuming you choose the first choice the video will play and you can
toggle between
one of three angles for the length of the video. Your middle main screen
shows the video
that will be saved. At any time press X to stop the video and press X again
to return to
the main screen.
==================================================================
4. VIDEO CLIPS
Here choose from one of 2 videos using method as selecting a stage.
Puffy de Rumba
or
"Nani Matsu Wareru Ekusetora".
During the video the controls are as follows
*Fast Forward- D-pad right
*Rewind- D-pad left
*Pause- start
*Slow Motion- D-pad down
* Stop video- X button
Press X at the title screen to return to the stage select. Enjoy your
videos! And
yes that is really Jimi Hendrix!
==================================================================
5. SHOOTING GAME
Once the game begins use your gun to shoot the red cans. You can also use
the D-pad
and CIRCLE button. The game has various stages and you have to shoot enough
cans
to get to the next level. The song "Ta Ra Ran" plays in the background.
* 1st Stage: Shoot the red cans, avoid the blue ones!
* 2nd Stage: Shoot the cans in order from smallest to biggest
* 3rd Stage: Shoot the red can you only have once chance per can
* 4th Stage: Shoot all the cans on the screen before time runs out!
* 5th Stage: Shoot the big can 100 times before time runs out!
In between levels you can see how you did! Press X to return to the
main level.
==================================================================
6. PHOTO GAME
Use the L1 and R1 buttons to scroll through the 3 screens of photos.
Shoot/ select
the "Get Photo Game" icon to start the game. Once you obtain photos look at
them!
Before exiting the screen you'll be asked if you want to save.
In the photo get game you must shoot the safe boxes (5 times each I
think) and open
them. There are 4 rolls of film per try. Try and find them all in the 25
seconds you
have! Try as many times as it takes to get all the photos!
Yea Pa pa pa Puffy Rules!
