1.0 - INTRODUCTION:

Welcome to my Guide on one of my favorite Rhythm Action and my second Game of the
BeMani series, pop'n music 2! ^^ [My first was pop'n music! Heh heh . . . ] What really
got me attracted to pop'n music was when I saw a banner of a guy from pop'n music 2 in
which his name was Timer. I instantly fell in love with Timer and I wanted to know more
about him. So when I clicked onto that banner, it led me to pop'n world in which I can
learn about the many Games of the pop'n series! ^^ So as I was looking through it -- I
told myself: "This is one Game I have gotta play!" Before ya know it, I got pop'n music!
And since I loved pop'n music so much, I bought the sequal [pop'n music 2] and I was not
disappointed one bit! ^^;; pop'n music 2 is a GREAT SEQUAL! And it still shocks me that
I got this addiction to pop'n music all because of Timer! ^^ THANK YOU, MY BUNNY-BOY!
*kisses Timer to death* Heh heh . . . ^^;;
ANYWAYS!! Many people has never even heard of pop'n music 2, but they should
because it's fun as Hell! Don't let the appearance fool ya! ^^ [Some people think the
pop'n music series is an insult to the BeMani series, a "child's Game" as they will call
it. Well, it isn't! Playin' Dami~yan's STAGE with 9 BUTTONS alone is not a laughin'
manner! x_X;; ] pop'n music 2 is a lot funner to play, especially when you bring a friend
to play along with you! This is my second time actually typin' up a Guide which is
supposed to teach you how to play this Game! o.O;; [I usually type up unique Guides such
as my DYN? Guides!] So I hope you guys will understand all there is to pop'n music 2, and
enjoy it more like how my sis and I did! If you guys have never heard or played this Game,
I at least recommend you should! [Hell, it could even be your first BeMani Game like how
it was to my sis and I!] Mainly, if you're a kid at heart, this Game should be very
entertainin'! ^^ Oh yeah, and if you're wonderin', pop'n music 2 is nothing like Bust A
Move/Groove!!! ^^;;
Well, I hope you love this Guide and let me know your feedbacks on it! So please
feel free to e-mail me any questions, flames, praises, comments, or anything at all to
enigmaopoeia@hotmail.com. Thank you and happy reading! ^^

2.0 - HOW TO PLAY THE GAME AND TERMS TO KEEP IN MIND

So you either bought, rented, or got pop'n music 2? But your only question is how
the heck do you play it anyways? Well, I hope it is explained below! ^^;; :

2.1 - HOW TO PLAY POP'N MUSIC
So, you want to know how to play? ^^ Learning how to play pop'n music 2 is pretty
simple. You will see these little blocks called Mr. Pop which are vertically aligned on 9
lines. They will all be falling down toward the red bar on the bottom. What you have to
do is once Mr. Pop hits that red bar, press the according BUTTON as to where the Mr. Pop
will stand [or fall! =P ] on the line. The position as to how Mr. Pop is hit on the red
bar below determines whether you will get a GREAT, GOOD, or BAD. If you got Mr. Pop to be
perfectly aligned on the red bar, you will get a GREAT; if Mr. Pop is partially on the red
bar as you hit it, you will get a GOOD; and if you completely miss hitting Mr. Pop on the
red bar, you will get a BAD. It may sound complicated, but you will get the hang of it
after a while! ^^ There's a tutorial in BEGINNER Game Mode for you to learn more about
how to play the Game! ^^
Another unique feature about pop'n music 2 is you're actually composing the sound
effects and the vocals to the Themes! So it kinda makes ya feel you're in total control of
the Game!! ^^;; Hey, at least I like this feature! =P
If you're wondering how to win in pop'n music 2, it's like this: There is a gauge
bar [called the Rhythm Level] on the bottom which reads BAD on the far left and GOOD on the
far right in which they are called the BAD ZONE and the GOOD ZONE. As you get GOODs,
GREATs, and FEVERs, the Rhythm Level will fill up. If you are around the GOOD ZONE on the
Rhythm Level, you're in good shape! But the BADs you will get will lower your Rhythm Level
which means you're in bad shape! So try to get as many GOODs, GREATs, and FEVERs in order
to keep it in the GOOD ZONE! ^^ To know real quickly whether you are in a BAD ZONE or in
a GOOD ZONE is if you see your Rhythm Level with blue bars, then you are in the BAD ZONE!
If the Rhythm Level has some red bars, then you are in the GOOD ZONE! ^^;; If you happen
to fill your Rhythm Level all the way, all the GREATs you will get will turn into FEVERs!
FEVERs will not only shows that you are in _REAL_ good shape, but it makes your CHARACTER
do a cute animation as well! ^^ Once the Theme is finished and your Rhythm Level is in
the GOOD ZONE, then you have passed that STAGE and go onto the next!! [BANZAI!] But if
the Theme ends and your Rhythm Level is in the BAD ZONE, then you have lost and you will be
given a choice either to retry or quit. =(
My goal is I hope you will learn everything there is to know about pop'n music 2
from this Guide! ^^ Thanks for reading this, and "Let's Party POP'N MUSIC!!"

[When the Game loads up, if you have already saved your data onto a Memory Card,
you should see a screen written in Japanese and all it is really stating is that it is
automatically loading your saved Game! ^^;; ]
This is the main screen in which you can select from the many choices below of how
you want to play pop'n music 2! You should see a background picture of a studio with Nyami
and Mimi, both dancing, on the sides of the foreground with NAKAJIMA san on top.

4.0 - EXPLANATION OF ARCADE

This first option of the main screen basically is the real meat of pop'n music 2 as
you can say! ^^ THIS IS THE ARCADE MODE FOR CHRIST SAKES! =P Mainly, you will select a
CHARACTER on a certain Game Mode, and square off against three CHARACTERs of your choice!
You will open up new Themes or CHARACTERs by using this option!

4.1 - GAME MODE SELECT
This option allows you to select what type of Game Mode you want to play pop'n
music 2 under.

4.1a - BEGINNER
Once selected, you should see Nyami. This option allows you to play pop'n music 2
under BEGINNER Game Mode which means the opponents can't perform any OJAMAs and you will be
given a lesser amount of Mr. Pop to hit. With this option, you can only go up to 2 STAGEs!
You can change your CHARACTER by using the L1, L2, R1, or R2 buttons, but you can
only choose between Nyami and Mimi which doesn't really matter because either way, you'll
be playin' as both of them. =( [Do note that most of the Themes/CHARACTERs you have
opened won't appear in BEGINNER Game Mode!] You can change the CHARACTERs' colors by
pressing the Square button.
Once this is selected, you will be given a tutorial as to how to play pop'n music 2
which is good to note, especially if you are a beginner! ^^

4.1b - NORMAL
Once selected, you should see Mary. This option allows you to play pop'n music 2
under NORMAL Game Mode which means the opponents can perform OJAMAs which only blocks your
view, and it will also warn you if they are about to perform one! You get to go against 3
STAGEs with this option!
You can change your CHARACTER by using the L1, L2, R1, or R2 buttons, and you can
change the CHARACTERs' colors by pressing the Square button.

4.1c - EXCITE
Once selected, you should see the KING. This option allows you to play pop'n music
2 under HARD Game Mode which means the opponents can perform OJAMAs which totally
rearranges the position of Mr. Pop without warning! x_X;; You get to go against 3 STAGEs
with this option!
You can change your CHARACTER by using the L1, L2, R1, or R2 buttons, and you can
change the CHARACTERs' colors by pressing the Square button.

4.1d - PARTY
Once selected, you should see Mimi [oddly enough in her 3P outfit!]. This option
allows you to play pop'n music 2 under HARD Game Mode which means the opponents can perform
OJAMAs which totally rearranges the position of Mr. Pop without warning, but with a unique
twist! x_X;; There are also other Mr. Pop which does something special to your Game play
and it's like a whole pop'n party as you can expect it to be! It's really kewl! ^^ You
get to go against 3 STAGEs with this option!
You can change your CHARACTER by using the L1, L2, R1, or R2 buttons, and you can
change the CHARACTERs' colors by pressing the Square button.
Now here is a list of the different special presentations of Mr. Pop you will
encounter during PARTY Game Mode. You are not required to hit them, but they sure do make
the STAGEs MUCH MORE INTERESTING!!! ^^;; :
fission Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a Ninja, this certain Mr. Pop makes the other Mr.
Pop fused in order to muddle the Gamer. Their OJAMA is called "fission". This special
presentation of Mr. Pop is really lame! x.X;;
Dance Mr. Pop - Symbolized as Nyami's head, this certain Mr. Pop makes the opponent
CHARACTER perform a cute animation in order to block the view of the PLAYER! I notice that
if you hit the Dance Mr. Pop on the left side of the screen, they will dance on the right
side of the screen and vice versa! ^^;; Their OJAMA is called "Dance floor". This
special presentation of Mr. Pop is one of my favorites! ^^
Explosive Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a bomb, this certain Mr. Pop makes the screen
seem to explode in front of you as well as rearranging the positions of Mr. Pop while you
are still caught up in the confusion of it all! Their OJAMA is called "Bomb". I don't
like this special presentation of Mr. Pop that much.
Gauge up Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a heart, this certain Mr. Pop raises your Rhythm
Level a little bit once hitting a Mr. Pop afterwards. Their OJAMA is called "Gauge up!".
This is one of my favorite special presentation of Mr. Pop! =P
??? Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a stick figure running, this certain Mr. Pop gives you
a random selection of the seven special presentation of Mr. Pop. Their OJAMA is called
"Eniguma" ["Enigma"] in which I would like to think it was named after myself since my
handle is enigmaopoeia! ^^;;
Speed up Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a rocket, this certain Mr. Pop makes Mr. Pop fall
faster for a period of time. BOUH. =( Their OJAMA is called "Speed up!" This is my MAIN
favorite special presentation of Mr. Pop! ^^;;
Kieechau Mr. Pop - [I couldn't translate the name!] Symbolized as a fire, this
certain Mr. Pop reacts just like the HIDDEN MODE in OPTION. >=( Their OJAMA is called
"Inside". We all should know by now how much I don't like HIDDEN mode!
Abruptly Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a short Mr. Pop, this certain Mr. Pop makes the
other Mr. Pop to appear much later than you expect them to appear, kinda like HIDDEN MODE
in OPTION, but instead of being invisible near the bottom portion of the screen. The
Abruptly Mr. Pop will be invisible from the middle of the screen to up! x_X;; Their OJAMA
is called "Late appear". This is one of my favorite special presentations of Mr. Pop!

Once selected you should see a screen in which you can select what CHARACTER you
want to play against. Above the CHARACTER is their name, and to their right is the
information of what genre their Theme is and what STAGE you are playin' under. To the left
of the CHARACTERs is a circle with the words "STAGE SELECT" above it. This circle
describes the DIFFICULTY of the Theme thus notice the bar will change between CHARACTERs?
The DIFFICULTY ranges from 1 to 23 being 1 is EASY and 23 is HARD. If the DIFFICULTY bar
happens to reach around the EASY area [they will usually have green and yellow bars], then
that means the Theme is fairly easy to play. If the bar happens to reach around the HARD
area [they will usually have green, yellow, orange, and red bars], then that means the
Theme would be a challenge for you! Keep in mind if you are just starting out, then choose
CHARACTERs in which their DIFFICULTY is around EASY. Once you have selected a CHARACTER,
you will be playing against them and good luck! ^^;; If you forgotten what BUTTONS you
choose which will play as BUTTONS A through I, then press SELECT. If you want to quickly
exit the STAGE, then press and hold SELECT and then START.

4.2 - HERE WE GO!
This screen will be opened once you have selected a CHARACTER to go against. On
the left side of the screen, you should see your CHARACTER [labeled as you], and on the
right side of the screen will be your opponent [labeled as com]. On top of the screen
should state what Game Mode and what STAGE you are on. On the middle of the screen should
state the genre of the CHARACTERs' Theme, and on the bottom of the screen should state the
title of the Theme and what Artist(s) performed that Theme. ^^;;

4.3 - TONIGHT'S STATS
This screen will be opened once you have finished a STAGE. This allows you to view
your scores of how many GREATs [FEVERs will be counted as GREATs], GOODs, and BADs you have
gotten with a certain BUTTON in that STAGE as well as your STAGE SCORE and TOTAL SCORE! ^^
Hell, you can even view your Rhythm Level! =P

4.4 - GET ON UP!
This screen will be opened once you failed to complete a STAGE. This allows you
to retry again, but under one condition: The TOTAL SCORE you have recieved thus so far
will be reduced down to 0!!! x_X;; If you want to quickly end your Game and do not retry,
then quickly press the Triangle button.

4.5 - GAME OVER
If you didn't retry on the "GET ON UP!" screen, you will be given the "GAME OVER"
screen. Simple as that! ^^;;

4.6 - CONGRATULATIONS!
This screen will be opened once you completed three STAGEs [or two Stages if you
have played BEGINNER Game Mode]. It should show a screen of the three genres in which you
have chosen. It will also show the number of GREATs, GOODs, and BADs you have SCOREd in
them. If you're lucky enough, you will get to view one of the two endings [I think you can
only see them if you have finished the Game on EXCITE Game Mode, I dunno!], and luckily you
will be on the RECORDS board! ^^;;
Both of the endings has the Theme "Theme of staff roll" playing in the background,
but the difference is that NAKAJIMA san will briefly appear in one of the endings. Nothing
really special though. =(

So, do you like pop'n music 2? I hope you're noddin' your head! ^^ C'mon, play
it again! Have you opened any SECRET CHARACTERs? If not, go and try!! Have fun to your
heart's content! ^^

5.0 - EXPLANATION OF ORIGINAL

This second option of the main screen allows you to choose from four unique options
in which you can play pop'n music 2 under!

5.1 - FREE
This first option of ORIGINAL allows you to play any STAGE freely! Mainly, it
allows you to have a choice of what you want to play! ^^ I think FREE is short for
FREE-FOR-ALL! =P
You are only given choices of what STAGEs to play of those in which you have
already opened. You will not open up new Themes or CHARACTERs by using this option!

FREE MODE SELECT
This option allows you to select what type of Game Mode you want to play pop'n
music under.

5.1a - BEGINNER
Once selected, you should see Nyami. This option allows you to play pop'n music 2
under BEGINNER Game Mode which means the opponents can't perform any OJAMAs and you will be

pressing the Square button.

5.1b - NORMAL

change the CHARACTERs' colors by pressing the Square button.

5.1d - PARTY

FREE STAGE SELECT
Once a Game Mode is selected, you should see a screen titled FREE STAGE SELECT.
Just choose the specific genre of Theme in which you want to play against. Once you have
selected a genre, you will be playing against it and good luck! ^^;; If you forgotten
what BUTTONS you choose which will play as BUTTONS A through I, then press SELECT. If you
want to quickly exit the STAGE, then press and hold SELECT and then START.

5.1e - TONIGHT'S STATS
This screen will be opened once you have finished a STAGE. This allows you to view
your scores of how many GREATs [FEVERs will be counted as GREATs], GOODs, and BADs you have
gotten with a certain BUTTON in that STAGE as well as your STAGE SCORE and TOTAL SCORE! ^^
Hell, you can even view your Rhythm Level! =P
After viewing all of these, a box will appear in the middle of the screen with
options for you to select.

5.1f - CONTINUE
This option allows you to retry the STAGE again in order to perfect your SCORE or
whatever you have in mind! ^^

5.1g - STAGE SELECT
This option allows you to select another STAGE in which you can play under.

5.1h - MODE SELECT
This option allows you to select another Game Mode in which you can play under.

5.1i - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the ORIGINAL
screen.

5.2 - DOWN LOAD
This second option of ORIGINAL allows you to down load your current Game data of
pop'n music 2 to your PocketStation, considering that you have one. In order to down load
your data to your PocketStation, insert the PocketStation to the avaliable Memory Card Slot
on your PlayStation. YES means that your data will be saved onto the PocketStation which
will take about 5 blocks of Memory, and NO means that you will not save your data onto the
PocketStation.
You will not open up new Themes or CHARACTERs by using this option!

Since I do not have a PocketStation, I could not give much information on this.
Sorry! But what you can do is read Bodi Anderson's POP'N MUSIC 2 FAQ and Play Guide at
GameFAQs for a description on how to play pop'n music 2 on the PocketStation! ^^;;

5.3 - MARATHON
This third option will be first read as ????? and will be accessable once you have
opened up a total of 40 Themes in no specific order. [I opened up this Game Mode by
opening up 40 Themes excluding LOUNGE, J-R&B, J-GARAGE POP, AKIBA, AVANTGARDE, and LIVE!]
This allows you to play pop'n music 2 in a very unique way in which you must play
against 18 or 37 STAGEs on any choice of three Game Modes under 9 BUTTONS! x_X;; The
rewards you will get is that you will get to open up three new Themes depending on
which Game Mode you have selected, and it will also tell you a hint as to how to open up a
secret CHARACTER such as Kelly! If you're brave enough to try this, GOOD LUCK!!! ^^;;
You will open up new Themes or CHARACTERs by using this option!

5.3a - BEGINNER
This options allows you to play MARATHON mode under BEGINNER Game Mode with either
Mimi or Nyami from pop'n music as your CHARACTER. The opponents can't perform any OJAMAs
and you will be given a lesser amount of Mr. Pop to hit. You get to go against 18 STAGEs
with this option! I recommend you at least should try MARATHON with this Game Mode! ^^
[Do note that most of the Themes/CHARACTERs you have opened won't appear in BEGINNER Game
Mode!] The CHARACTERs you will be going against is random, so be ready! ^^;; If you
forgotten what BUTTONS you choose which will play as BUTTONS A through I, then press
SELECT. If you want to RETIRE, then press and hold SELECT and then START.

5.3b - HALF
This options allows you to play MARATHON mode under NORMAL Game Mode with Mary from
pop'n music as your CHARACTER. The opponents can perform OJAMAs which only blocks your
view, and it will also warn you if they are about to perform one! You get to go against 18
STAGEs with this option! The CHARACTERs you will be going against is random, so be ready!
If you forgotten what BUTTONS you choose which will play as BUTTONS A through I, then press
SELECT. If you want to RETIRE, then press and hold SELECT and then START.

5.3c - FULL
This options allows you to play MARATHON mode under EXCITE Game Mode with the KING
from pop'n music as your CHARACTER. The opponents can perform OJAMAs which totally
rearranges the position of Mr. Pop without warning! You get to go against a grueling
number of 37 STAGEs with this option! x_X;; The CHARACTERs you will be going against is
random, so be ready! If you forgotten what BUTTONS you choose which will play as BUTTONS
A through I, then press SELECT. If you want to RETIRE, then press and hold SELECT and then
START.

5.3d - RETIRE/GAME OVER
If you failed to pass all 18 or 37 STAGEs, you will soon see a screen with Nyami
and Mimi both doing a thumbs down sign with the word: "RETIRE" on top of the screen. It
will state your total score along with the number of STAGEs you have completed before
retirin', and it will give you the "GAME OVER" screen. Then you will be directed back to
the ORIGINAL screen.

5.3e - CONGRATULATIONS!
If you completed all 18 or 37 STAGEs, you will soon see a screen with Nyami and
Mimi giving a thumbs up sign along with the word: "CONGRATULATIONS!" on top of the screen.
Then it state your total score along with a message on how to open up Kelly. The secret
Theme you will open up depends on what Game Mode you beated. If you completed BEGINNER
Game Mode, then you opened up AKIBA in STAGE 1; if you completed HALF Game Mode, then you
opened up LIVE in STAGE 2; and if you completed FULL Game Mode, then you opened up
AVANTGARDE in STAGE 3! ^^
If you do happen to open up all 46 Themes and try to master any of the Game Modes,
you will not open up any new Themes, but you get this message instead in place on how to
open up Kelly: "YOU GOTTA ALL THE POP'N MUSIC! COOL IT!!" Heh heh . . . =P

5.4 - SURVIVAL
This third option will be first read as ????? and will be accessable once you have
opened up a total of 40 Themes in no specific order. [I opened up this Game Mode by
opening up 40 Themes excluding LOUNGE, J-R&B, J-GARAGE POP, AKIBA, AVANTGARDE, and LIVE!]
The unique thing about SURVIVAL Game Mode is that you must play a certain COURSE
in order to form a picture of four 3-Komas focusing on some CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2!
It's well worth it, and I'm sure that you will have most fun out of this! ^^;; With
SURVIVAL, you must go against a total of 5 STAGEs either pre-set or random, but there's a
catch. Your Rhythm Level is already at it's maximum on the GOOD ZONE and the amount of
FEVERs, GREATs, or GOODs will keep the Rhythm Level at it's place. But the amount of BADs
you will get decreases the Rhythm Level and one it hits at the bottom of the BAD ZONE, you
lose the Game! It's tougher than it sounds, especially with a COURSE like GET THE RHYTHM!
It's hard to explain, but you will understand once you try it out. ^^;;
If the COURSEs are becoming too easy [Is that possible? =P ], then try these VERY
UNIQUE Game Modes specially designed for SURVIVAL MODE! What you do is look at the word
"SURVIVAL" above the screen, it's yellow which means the STAGEs would be set on NORMAL
SPEED; if you press SELECT, the word "SURVIVAL" should now be in green which means the
STAGEs are set on FAST SPEED; and if you press SELECT one more time, the word "SURVIVAL"
should now be in red which means the STAGEs are set on the SPEED OF LIGHT! x_X:; The
FAST SPEED and the SPEED OF LIGHT [Names in which I invented! =P ] are fast as Hell!!!

5.4a - BEGINNER COURSE
This first COURSE is called BEGINNER because you are going against STAGEs in which
their DIFFICULTY is in the EASY section. The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is EASY. You will
be going against RAP, FANTASY, LATIN, MASARA, and NEW WAVE with the CHARACTER, DON MOMMY,
as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed BEGINNER COURSE,
the pattern of heads with KRAFT?, MZD, MZD, KARLI, and SYLVIE in this order will disappear
thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4b - BEST FIVE COURSE
This second COURSE is called BEST FIVE probably because they are adverage STAGEs in
which their DIFFICULTY is around the NORMAL section. The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is
NORMAL. You will be going against J-TEKNO, POPS, BONUS TRACK, NEO ACO, and ENKA with the
CHARACTER, UNBABO, as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed BEST FIVE COURSE,
the pattern of heads with MZD, RIE-chan, SANAE-chan, Sugi-kun, and S.8.TARO in this order
will disappear thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4c - GIRLS COURSE
This third COURSE is called GIRLS basically because you're going against the girls
of pop'n music! ^^;; The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is VERY HARD. You will be going
against POPS, MELLOW, BONUS TRACK, IDOL GIRL, and GIRLY with the CHARACTER, UNCLE Jam, as
the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed GIRLS COURSE, the
pattern of heads with RIE-chan, SANAE-chan, SANAE-chan, JUDY, and RIE-chan in this order
will disappear thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4d - GET THE RHYTHM COURSE
This fourth COURSE is called GET THE RHYTHM because if ya don't, you'll lose BIG
TIME!!! x_X;; The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is OUTRAGEOUSLY HARD. You will be going
against HEAVY METAL, DIGI ROCK, VISUAL, DISCO KING, and SPY with the CHARACTER, CHARLY, as
the SURVIVOR. THIS IS THE HARDEST COURSE OF THE DAMNED SURVIVAL MODE IMHO!!! Since HEAVY
METAL is the first STAGE you encounter, you might as well be dead because HEAVY METAL is
practically a bitch to pass! x_X;;
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed GET THE RHYTHM
COURSE, the pattern of heads with Dami~yan, Timer, Yuli, MZD, and MZD in this order will
disappear thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4e - YOKOHAMA COURSE
This fifth COURSE is called YOKOHAMA because it's reference to either one of the
Producers of KONAMI or to AYA from pop'n music 3. The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is HARD.
You will be going against TECHNO'80, CLASSIC 2, FUNNY, CLASSIC, and FUSION with the
CHARACTER, SYLVESTER, as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed YOKOHAMA COURSE,
the pattern of heads with PRETTY, HAMANOV, BOY, PRETTY, and PRETTY in this order will
disappear thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4f - DANCE COURSE
This sixth COURSE is called DANCE basically it's basically all dance Themes! ^^
The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is VERY HARD. You will be going against DANCE, EURO QUEEN,
DISCO KING, DISCO QUEEN, and RAVE with the CHARACTER, CHAMEL, as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed DANCE COURSE, the
pattern of heads with JUDY, KoKo, MZD, KoKo, and Rave girl in this order will disappear
thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4g - POPS COURSE
This seventh COURSE is called POPS basically because it has the word POP at the end
of it! DUH! =P The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is VERY HARD. You will be going against
J-POP, TECHNO POP, URBAN POP, POP RAP, and CANDY POP with the CHARACTER, KRAFT, as the
SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed POPS COURSE, the
pattern of heads with MZD, KRAFT?, Mrs.Wilson, KRAFT?, and CINDY in this order will
disappear thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4h - KIDS COURSE
This eighth COURSE is called KIDS because they're all kiddy soundin' Music! ^^
The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is NORMAL. You will be going against FANTASY, TECHNO POP,
ANIME HERO, AFRICA, and ANIME HERO R with the CHARACTER, TORU KAMIKAZE, as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Since you have completed BEGINNER COURSE,
the pattern of heads with MZD, KRAFT?, MZD, PRETTY, and Hiroshi in this order will
disappear thus revealing a little bit of the whole picture.

5.4i - RANDOM BEGINNER COURSE
This ninth COURSE is called RANDOM BEGINNER because you get to choose which STAGEs
you want to go against from a RANDOM select, and since they're BEGINNER -- you have lesser
Mr. Pop to hit! ^^;; The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is EASY. You will be going against
whatever 5 STAGEs you have selected with the CHARACTER, DiNO, as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. The catch is that there are already a set
pattern of five heads you must go against in RANDOM BEGINNER if you want to complete the
picture! x_X;; [You will get to see the set pattern better if you have completed all of
the eight COURSEs above! =P ] So in order to see the whole picture, take note of what set
pattern the Game gives ya and try to get them in that order so you can reveal a little bit
of the whole picture. [It's VERY hard to explain! x_X;; ]

5.4j - RANDOM COURSE
This tenth COURSE is called RANDOM because you get to choose which STAGEs you want
to go against from a RANDOM select! ^^;; The DIFFICULTY of this COURSE is WAKANNAI. [I
couldn't translate it! x_X;; ] You will be going against whatever 5 STAGEs you have
selected with the CHARACTER, BAMBOO, as the SURVIVOR.
Once you have completed this COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of
the heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. The catch is that there are already a set
pattern of five heads you must go against in RANDOM if you want to complete the picture!
x_X;; [You will get to see the set pattern better if you have completed all of the eight
COURSEs before RANDOM BEGINNER! =P ] So in order to see the whole picture, take note of
what set pattern the Game gives ya and try to get them in that order so you can reveal a
little bit of the whole picture. [It's VERY hard to explain! x_X;; ]

5.3k - GAME OVER
If you failed to pass a COURSE, you will be given the "GAME OVER" screen. Simple
as that! ^^;;

5.4l - POP'N KOMA
Once you have completed a COURSE, you will see a screen with a whole bunch of the
heads of the CHARACTERs from pop'n music 2. Depending on the COURSE you chose, the pattern
of heads which will be removed differs from one COURSE to the next disappears thus
revealing a little bit of the whole picture.
Then you should be given a letter grade RANKING as to how well your play style was
in those 5 STAGEs. All I know is that the letter B is a GREAT RANKING and the letter C is
a GOOD RANKING! =P
If you are successful enough to remove all of the heads, you will be given a number
of four 3-Koma which is a reward for completin' the COURSEs! It's well worth it because
they are quite humorous! ^^;; In order to see the 3-Koma without the annoying grade box
is to press and hold the Square button.
The first 3-Koma is titled "BALLOON" and it's about Nyami and Mimi in a park when
Nyami happened to bump straight at Anzu with a "DON!" [I guess that's Japanese for a
bumping sound effect! ^^;; ] who was holding a pink heart-shaped balloon. Nyami then
apologized to Anzu for the lost balloon while I think Mimi was trying to compromise. But
all Anzu said was, " . . . . . . " Then Anzu jumped high into the sky, and caught her
balloon with a loud "CATCH!" as Nyami and Mimi stared in awe! =P I like this 3-Koma, it's
very cute in it's own sort of way! =P
The second 3-Koma is titled "WARUGAKI" which I believe is Japanese for "BAD CHILD".
I don't quite understand this 3-Koma, but this is what I could interpret from it: Edward
was being picked up into the air by Nyami as she played around with him singing a happy
tune. Then Mimi came over and asked Nyami if she could hold Edward after her in which
Nyami agreed to it. Then as Mimi held Edward, he gave her a thumbs down sign which I think
he's tryin' to tell her that Nyami held him much better than Mimi did! ^^;; This 3-Koma
is very confusin'! o_O;;
The third 3-Koma is MY MAIN FAVORITE, it is titled "GAMERS". It shows that it was
1:11 P.M., it's bright outside, as SYLVIE and BOY were sitting down both playing a Video
Game together! They both look fine as BOY smirked while playin' as SYLVIE has a look of
determination as if he knows that he'll beat BOY badly. Then at 7:11 P.M., the Sun is
setting, BOY looks up at the clock as he wonders how long were they playin' at this Game
anyways. Unfortunately, SYLVIE is angry probably because BOY was winning. Then at 10:28
P.M., the Moon glows so beautifully, BOY is asleep as SYLVIE is still playin' against him
in complete fustration because BOY was still winning! LMAO! I LOVE THIS KOMA!!! Because
of this Koma, I came up to three conclusions: 1.) BOY is a very good Gamer. 2.) SYLVIE is
not a good sport. And 3.) How can someone play a Game for about over 10 hours straight!?!
Are they playin' Asuka 120%?!? ^^;;
My translation skills are not superb because I can't read the title of the fourth
3-Koma which is VERY hilarous! ^^ It has Kelly in an UFO craft as she is flying through
Outer Space, probably wanting to get back home by use of this vechile. Then a boy holding
a red balloon watches Kelly as it shows that she was on a coin operated UFO vechile. OH,
POOR KELLY!!! ^^;; Then Kelly emerges from the UFO as she watches the Sunset as the word,
"I want to come back..." [Thanks, Reo! =P ], was written above her.
I enjoyed reading these Komas, I hope you do too! It was well worth it! =P

5.5 - EXIT
This fifth option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the main
screen.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
6.0 - EXPLANATION OF TRAINING

This third option of the main screen allows you to train in STAGEs in which you
might have problems on. Your default CHARACTER is either Nyami or Mimi, and the default
STAGE is DIGI ROCK.
You are only given choices of what STAGEs to play of those in which you have
already opened. You will not open up new Themes or CHARACTERs by using this option!

TRAINING MAIN SCREEN
You should see the word of a certain genre to a CHARACTERs' Theme, the default is
DIGI ROCK considering you have played against Timer. If you haven't played against Timer,
the default will be FANTASY. Here is where you will get to choose one genre out of the
fourty-six Themes, considering that you already opened up all fourty-six Themes, to train
under. Once you have selected a Theme, there are some options for you to choose!

6.1 - START
This option allows you to start playing the STAGE in which you are trainin' under.

6.2 - MUSIC SELECT
This option allows you to change the genre of what Theme you want to train under.

6.3 - SETTING
This option allows you to change the settings in which you want to train under.
You should see a background picture of TORU KAMIKAZE.

6.3a - SPEED
This option allows you to change the SPEED of the Theme playing in which 1 is the
slowest and 5 is normal speed. If the setting is set on 1 to 4, you will hear no BGM and
you will hear a timer [Not Timer! =P ] clicking instead.

6.3b - PHRASE
This option allows you to view the patterns in which Mr. Pop will fall under, this
is good in case you want to remember their directions beforehand. You should see the main
bar of the pop'n music screen.

6.3c - AUTO
This option allows whether you want the computer to play in your place so you can
either watch what the direction Mr. Pop will fall under or if you just wanna listen to the
Theme! =P ON allows the computer to play by itself as both the you and com PLAYERS, and
OFF means you will be playing as the you PLAYER. If you have selected ON and played in a
STAGE, and you want to exit. Then press START.

6.3d - REPEAT
This option allows you that once you finish a STAGE, it will automatically repeat
the STAGE for you! ON allows the STAGE to repeat itself once finished, and OFF allows that
you can select another STAGE once you finish that STAGE. If you have selected ON and
played in a STAGE, and you want to exit. Then press START.

6.3e - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the TRAINING main
screen.

6.4 - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the main screen.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
7.0 - EXPLANATION OF RECORDS

This option allows you to view the RANKINGs [A.K.A. "the HI SCORE! board"] of the
POPPERS.

7.1 - BEGINNER
This option allows you to view the RANKINGs of the top 5 POPPERS under BEGINNER
Game Mode.

7.2 - NORMAL
This option allows you to view the RANKINGs of the top 5 POPPERS under NORMAL Game
Mode.

7.3 - EXCITE
This option allows you to view the RANKINGs of the top 5 POPPERS under EXCITE Game
Mode.

7.4 - PARTY
This option allows you to view the RANKINGs of the top 5 POPPERS under PARTY Game
Mode.

7.5 - CHART
Now I like this option! ^^;; This option allows you to view your HI SCORE! for
either BEGINNER, Hi-SCORE [NORMAL, EXCITE, or PARTY], and HYPER Game Mode! Not only that,
but it tells you how many BUTTONS you used in order to get that HI SCORE! as well as the
amount of times you have played this certain Theme! So far, the top six Themes in which my
sis and I always play are NEO ACO, DIGI ROCK, VISUAL, NEW WAVE, FUNNY, and CUTE! =P The
top three Themes my sis and I rarely play are REGGAE, NEW FOLK, and AFRICA. ^^;;

7.6 - MARATHON
This option allows you to view your TOTAL SCORE in all three of the MARATHON Game
Mode. A star at the end of the TOTAL SCORE symbolizes that you have completed this certain
MARATHON Game Mode.

7.7 - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the main screen.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
8.0 - EXPLANATION OF SAVE & LOAD

This option allows you to either SAVE or LOAD your Game on your Memory Card,
considering that you have one.

8.1 - SAVE
This option allows you to save the data of pop'n music 2 onto your Memory Card.

8.2 - LOAD
This option allows you to load the data of pop'n music 2 from your Memory Card.

8.3 - AUTO SAVE
This option allows that whenever you change a setting in OPTION or finish a Game
or whatever, it will automatically save that data onto your Memory Card. OFF means that
it won't automatically save onto your Memory Card; and ON means that it will automatically
save onto your Memory Card, and since this option is highly recommended -- turn it ON! ^^

8.4 - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the main screen.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
9.0 - EXPLANATION OF OPTION

This sixth option of the main screen allows you to change the settings and of the
like in the Game!

9.1 - GAME LEVEL
This option allows you to change the level of difficulty in the Game in which you
are playing in which 1 is the easiest and 4 is the hardest. If the GAME LEVEL is on 1,
whenever you make GOODs or GREATs, they will increase the RHYTHM LEVEL greatly, but if you
make a BAD, it wouldn't count as much. If the GAME LEVEL is on 4, whenever you make GOODs
or GREATs, they won't count as much, but when you get a BAD, it decreased the RHYTHM LEVEL
greatly. [Thanks, Crono, for the information! ^^;; ] My sis and I usually let the GAME
LEVEL be on 3.

9.2 - BUTTON MODE
This option allows you to change the number of BUTTONS you will be pressin' in
pop'n music 2. 5 BUTTONS means you will be controlling BUTTONS C through G; 7 BUTTONS
means you will be contolling BUTTONS B through H; and 9 BUTTONS means you will be
controlling BUTTONS A through I. Only true POPPERS can play 9 BUTTONS, like my sis and
I! =P Only beginners should try 5 BUTTONS, then move on up to 7 BUTTONS, and then onto 9
BUTTONS. ^^

9.3 - RANDOM
This option allows Mr. Pop to fall in random patterns on the screen, really good
for those who are starting to remember the patterns! OFF means that Mr. Pop won't fall in
random patterns; and ON means that Mr. Pop will fall in random patterns. This is mainly my
sis' and I favorite method to play! =P

9.4 - HIDDEN
This option allows Mr. Pop to be invisible once they fall near the bottom portion
of the screen which basically makes the Game much harder to play! OFF means that Mr. Pop
won't be hidden near the bottom portion; and ON means that Mr. Pop will be hidden near the
bottom portion. This is my sis' and I least favorite option to play. =(

9.5 - MIRROR
This option allows Mr. Pop to fall on the opposite side of the screen than what it
normally do such as if it normally falls on the right, it will now fall on the left. OFF
means that Mr. Pop won't be mirrored; and ON means that Mr. Pop will be mirrored. This is
one pretty unique feature.

9.6 - SELECT
This option allows that whenever you are in ARCADE MODE, that it will cut up all of
the fancy graphical stuff and just only show the CHARACTERs' names and their genres just as
you would see them in FREE MODE under ORIGINAL! NORMAL means the fancy graphical stuff
will stay; and SHORT CUT means that it will look like how it does in FREE MODE! ^^

9.7 - VIBRATION 1P
This option allows you to change the usage of the vibrations on the Dual Shock
controller for the first Player, considering if you do have one. NO USE means there will
be no vibrations [as if you have a normal PlayStation controller]; BEAT SYNC means the Dual
Shock controller will vibrate according to the beats of the Themes; MISS means the Dual
Shock controller will vibrate if you have miss to hit Mr. Pop on your screen; and BUTTON
means the Dual Shock controller will vibrate once you have hit a BUTTON. My sis [since
she is always 1P] let this option be on BUTTON.

9.8 - VIBRATION 2P
This option allows you to change the usage of the vibrations on the Dual Shock
controller for the second Player, considering if you do have one.
I [since I'm
always 2P] let this option be on NO USE because we only have one Dual Shock controller and
my sis uses it! =P

9.9 - KEY CONFIG
This option allows you to change what BUTTONS will be pressed on the normal
PlayStation controller, considering that you don't have the pop'n controller. You should
see a background picture of the pop'n music STAGE with Nyami to the left and Mimi to the
right.

9.9a - PLAYER
This option allows you to change the BUTTONS configuration for either 1P or 2P.

9.9b - DEFAULT TYPE
This option allows you to change what BUTTONS will be pressed by these VII already
preset settings! ^^;; My sis and I favorite DEFAULT TYPE is I.
This is what KONAMI put down as descriptions for these types, it kinda gives ya an
idea of what the types are supposed to represent:
Type I - No description, probably the default of the DEFAULT TYPE.
Type II - For people who have played with beatmania Controller.
Type III - Possible to play L1/L2 buttons and R1/R2 buttons with the same button.
Type IV - For people who don't want to assign many buttons to Directional buttons.
Type V - You might be able to play with beatmania Controller.....
Type VI - When playing 2P, Player 1 should do this.
Type VII - When playing 2P, Player 2 should do this.

9.9c - SETUP
This option allows you to manually change what BUTTONS will be pressed, considering
you don't like any of the DEFAULT TYPEs.

9.9d - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to OPTION.

9.10 - SOUND
This option allows you to mess around with the Sounds and Music of pop'n music 2!

9.10a - SOUND MODE
This option allows you to change the sound output between STEREO and MONAURAL.
STEREO is always the best option IMHO! =P

9.10b - BGM VOLUME
This option allows you to change the volume in which you want the background Music
to play in which 1 is quiet and 5 is loud. 5 is always the best option IMHO! =P

9.10c - SE VOLUME
This option allows you to change the volume in which you want the sound effects to
play in which 1 is quiet and 5 is loud. 5 is always the best option IMHO! =P

9.10d - BGM TEST
This option allows you to listen to all of the fourty-six Themes, considering you
have opened up all fourty-six of them, in which only the BGM will be playing and not the
sound effects within. Once you have selected the BGM, you will be directed to SE TEST in
which you can play the many sound effects of that certain Theme! ^^

9.10e - SE TEST
This option allows you to listen to the sound effects of all of the fourty-six
Themes, considering you have opened up all fourty-six of them. You cannot access to this
option until you selected BGM TEST. ^^;;

9.10f - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to OPTION.

9.11 - OPTION RESET
This option allows you reset all of the preset settings back to their default ones.
YES means that the preset settings will be reseted back to default; and NO means that the
preset settings will not be reseted back to default.

9.12 - EXIT
This option allows you to exit out of this screen and go back to the main screen.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
10.0 - EXPLANATION OF DISC CHANGE

Since pop'n music 2 is a KEY DISC, you will need this in order to play any of the
pop'n music APPEND DISCs. Besides, these APPEND DISCs cost about half as much as the whole
Game [I heard they are about $10! ^^;; ], and it's better [AND CHEAPER!!] to spend your
money on APPEND DISCs! To exit out of here quickly is to press and hold SELECT, and then
START.

Since I do not have any pop'n music APPEND DISCs, I could not give much information
on this. Sorry! I am hoping, though, to get the pop'n music 3 APPEND DISC soon!

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
11.0 - THEME LIST

Here is the list of all of the CHARACTERs' Themes in pop'n music 2 in which they
are arranged alphabetically by their title! ^^;;
[My note: P/D stands for PHRASES/DIFFICULTY. PHRASES ranges from 1 to 100 being 1 is a
real short Theme and 100 is a real long Theme, and DIFFICULTY ranges from 1 to
23 being 1 is EASY and 23 is HARD.]

12.0 - HINTS AND TIPS

pop'n music 2 is a lot funner to play with your friends, and let them co-op with
you. Unlike Bust A Move, you cannot go against your friends, but what you can do is you
and your friend can both work as a team together! ^^ What my sis and I do is that my sis
handles BUTTONS A through E while I handle BUTTONS F through I, and whenever we really need
each other's help, I sometimes play BUTTONS A or E while my sis plays BUTTONS H or I! ^^;;

pop'n music 2 is a lot livelier to play using a Dual Shock controller! Of course,
if you seem to be losing the rhythm because of the BEAT SYNC, then TURN IT OFF! My sis
usually let the vibration be on BUTTON, so it only vibrates whenever she hits a BUTTON.

If you just can't win at pop'n music 2, then try playing FANTASY on STAGE 1 and
LATIN on STAGE 2 using 5 BUTTONS on BEGINNER Game Mode for they are the EASIEST STAGEs
ever! =P If you can't pass their STAGEs, then maybe pop'n music 2 isn't the Game for you,
I recommend playin' PaRappa The Rapper, Um Jammer Lammy, Bust A Move, Bust A Groove, or
Bust A Move 2.

If you can't seem to play this certain CHARACTER's Theme right, then try out their
Theme in TRAINING mode and perfect your skills!

Rave girl's Theme is a real bitch to play when using 9 BUTTONS! x_X;;

When you see a lot of pop-kuns coming your way, especially in Themes like KoKo's,
Yuli's, Timer's, Dami~yan's, RIE-chan's, or S.8.TARO's -- don't fret! Only focus on those
which are real important, and ignore the pop-kuns which don't appear quite as frequently.
As long as you keep the GREATs comin', you should be in good shape! =P

If you find that playin' 7 or 9 BUTTONS hard, then try 5 BUTTONS! It might make
the stress factor a little easier. =P

If you are like my sis and I, and are finding yourself singin' to these Themes!
Then you finally know that pop'n music 2 has done some good onto you! =P But if you're
losin' the rhythm, then stop singin'! Did that help a little? ^^

Always let the AUTOSAVE be ON because if you do happen to unlock a new Theme or
CHARACTER, and you happen to reset your Game or forgot to save it -- can you say that you
will be WAY BEYOND pissed? Especially when you open CHARACTERs like REO-kun, tourmaline,
or Edward! ^^;; So let the AUTOSAVE be ON! ^^

Try everyone's Theme at least once, you might find one that you might like and are
really good at! ^^ My sis and I are excellent POPPERS at J-TEKNO and DANCE! ^^;; If you
only care about getting a higher score, then select Themes in which you are really good at!
If you want to open up those SECRET CHARACTERs, you must learn to at least play everyone's
Themes! ^^

If you're finding yourself going through your whole controller just to press one
BUTTON, then goto OPTIONS and change your BUTTON settings into something easier for you to
do. My sis and I use L2 as BUTTON A, L1 as BUTTON B, Left as BUTTON C, Up as BUTTON D,
Right or Square as BUTTON E, Triangle as BUTTON F, Circle as BUTTON G, R1 as BUTTON H, and
R2 as BUTTON I. Or better yet, make it easier for all of us and get yourself a pop'n
controller! =P

If you're like my sister and whenever you press one BUTTON and it's coming up on
the screen as you're pressin' two BUTTONS, then try giving more space between your thumb
and the BUTTONS. Because maybe your thumb is so close to another BUTTON in which whenever
you press a certain BUTTON, it will press the other one as well! ^^

If you're like me and whenever you see a pop-kun come near the red bar and you have
this little crave just to hit that BUTTON, but it's coming up as BAD. Then this is what I
do, I first glance up to see what pop-kuns are coming my way and then I focus straight onto
the red bar below. Once I see a pop-kun in range of that red bar, I hit it in time to get
either a GREAT or a GOOD! ^^

If pop'n music 2 is becoming just too easy for you, then try it with 7 or 9
BUTTONS. Or try playin' with a unique feature such as MIRROR, RANDOM, or HIDDEN! ^^ Did
that help enhance the Gameplay a little? =P

If a certain Theme is becoming real difficult for you to play [To me, it will be
Yuli's, Dami~yan's, Timer's, BOY's, or Kraft?'s Themes], then try playin' it under RANDOM
mode and it should make it a *little bit* easier. Hey, it works for me! ^^;;

If you don't like a certain character's colors, then press the Square button and
you will see the character's alternate color(s)! ^^

You don't have to play as Mary in NORMAL Game Mode or the KING in EXCITE Game Mode
and etc.! Just press the L1, L2, R1, or R2 buttons to change your character! =P

Unless you want to have a MAJOR headache, DON'T PLAY PARTY GAME MODE!!! x_X;;

If you think that TECHNO'80, AFRICA, CLASSIC, SEXY GIRLS, URBAN POP, CLASSIC 2,
J-GARAGE POP, CUTE, and AVANTGARDE is a piece of cake to pass! Then try them on HYPER Game
Mode! They're hard as Hell. Well, TECHNO'80 and URBAN POP wasn't quite so hard on 9
BUTTONS, but the others are a bitch! x_X;; To access HYPER Game Mode, select either
TECHNO'80, AFRICA, CLASSIC, SEXY GIRLS, URBAN POP, CLASSIC 2, J-GARAGE POP, CUTE, or
AVANTGARDE. Then press and hold SELECT, and you should soon see the CHARACTERs' name and
their genre change in a variety of colors. Then press O and you're in HYPER Game Mode! ^^
It's kewl as Hell!

NEW FOLK is the Devil's weapon of destruction IMHO! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! x_X;;
[HEAVY METAL is second! =P ]

This special
presentation of Mr. Pop is really lame! x.X;;
"Eniguma" ["Enigma"] in which I would like to think it was named after myself since my
handle is enigmaopoeia! ^^;;
Speed up Mr. Pop - Symbolized as a rocket, this certain Mr. Pop makes Mr. Pop fall
faster for a period of time. BOUH. =( Their OJAMA is called "Speed up!" This is my MAIN
favorite special presentation of Mr. Pop! ^^;;
Pop!

Is it worth your money to get the pop'n controller? I say, "YES!" The Game
becomes more entertainin', and somehow much *harder* usin' the pop'n controller. ^^;; It
was worth my money. I have fun tryin' to play pop'n music with the pop'n controller!

And the main hint and strategy of all that you must keep in mind: Just have fun,
and try out different things! ^^;; You may enjoy the Game even more!

16.0 - DIFFERENCES BETWEEN THE PLAYSTATION TO THE DREAMCAST VERSION

My friend, Crono, has the Dreamcast version of pop'n music 2, and here are what the
differences I found thus so far:

- You can up to four Players in the DC version as opposing to two Players in the PS! o_O;;
- Faster loading time, everything seems a little *too* quick IMHO. ^^;;
- The "NOW LOADING" screen has a spinning CD next to it.
- Yuli and probably some other characters has a difference stance when you select them.
What I meant is that if you go against Yuli in STAGE 2 of the PS version, Yuli would
smell his rose whereelse in the DC version, Yuli shakes his head to move the hair from
his face. Weird . . . ^^;;

Overall, there really is no difference IMHO . . . ^^;;

THANKS TO:
Bow down to the Gods, KONAMI, for creatin' this Game! I loved the first one and
the sequal to it exceeded my expetations of what a sequal should be, and THAT IS GOOD! ^^
I was amazed that there was SO MANY THEMES in here, and even something as simple as
choosing a STAGE becomes the hardest of tasks between my sis and I because we both
constantly have to fight over VISUAL, DIGI ROCK, CUTE, SEXY GIRLS, and etc. But thank
God my sis and I can both agree on playin' J-GARAGE POP anytime! =P
Thanks, Karn, for being there as my POPPER BUDDY and someone to argue with whether
we should play DIGI ROCK or VISUAL on STAGE 2! ^^;; It's even harder because I mainly
like Timer while you mainly like Yuli! BLEH! =P Anyways, thanks for opening up every one
of the characters along with me [as well as endurin' me complainin' about the "Dancing
Baby"! x_X;; ] and always lend an ear to hear me sing the GREAT GAMBLER Z Theme! *starts
singin'* "Ha, Ha, Ha!!!" =P Hope we have just as much fun with pop'n music 3 or pop'n
stage like we do with both pop'n music and pop'n music 2! ^^;;
Also, thanks to Reo-kun who helped me get addicted to pop'n music even more than
what I already did! THANKS! ^^
