weekends. Will try to update this FAQ as soon as new stuffs are out
. Hopefully I still have time to play.
24/06/2005: Added explanation to why magicians should save up SP for some levels
to max out a magic.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
2)Creating a Magician
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Out of the four classes, u are destined to choose Magician as you read this
guide. For the magician, the stats outcome is very crucial. The only relevant
stats for a magician is Int and Luk:

Int--determines your magic attack damage, accuracy as well as magic defence.
Luk--increases avoidability and reduces exp loss upon dying.

To be a real strong magician, you must roll the dice for an optimal result. Try
to achieve a 4 for both Str and Dex. However, this is quite rare and i have
only achieved it once and accidentally clicked re-roll a bit too fast. If you
are impatient, then just settle with a 4 in either Str or Dex and 5 in the
remaining stats.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3)To Ellinia
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
For a beginner, your Str and Dex determines your maximum and minimum damage
respectively. Since you are going to be a powerful magician, you have to
sacrifice the ease of training to level 8. With Str and Dex around 4-5, you
will be doing so little damage that you will be tempted to add points to Dex
ans Str. No! Keep it that way. 1-3 damage is enough to kill Green and Blue
snails.

=[Stats Addition]=
For every level, you get 5 stats point to distribute. After you get a job, you
get additional 3 Skill points to use each gain in level. Lets leave Skill
points till later. As we have discussed, the only stats relevant to a magician
is Luk and Int. For a start, add all points to Int till it is 20, which is
required for the Magician job. Keep Luk 3 more than your current level, since
it is neccesary for equipments. Never waste any points on MP and HP, cause you
get free HP and MP increase every level.

When Luk is 3 more than your current level. Add 1 to Luk and 4 to Int every
level up. Sometimes at certain levels, Luk requirement for equipments might
seems lesser than the recommended 3 more than current level. Ignore it and keep
adding 4 to Int and 1 to Luk so that you wont have to worry and still meet all
equipment requirement for every level!

=[Training schedule]=
Level 1-8:Green Snails(8 HP, 3 exp) and Blue Snails(15 HP, 4 exp)

Personally i believe Green snails is more worth it since it has only 8 HP while
the extra 7 HP for Blue ones yield only one additional exp. However, from
consideration of spawn rate, it is advisable to attack whatever creature you
can see and kill. Shrooms(20 HP, 5 exp) are manageable too if you want to see
larger exp gain. However, avoid Red Snails(45 HP, 8 exp)!!! Their HP is a bit
too long and will be wasting your precious time. Furthermore, if a potential
warrior comes along and kill steal(KS)your damaged Red Snail, you get little
exp from the time you invest.

=[Travelling Around]=
Finally, you are level 8. Ready to become a real magician? Finish all the nice
easy quest on the island. If you dont like leaving quest undone, i recommend
you not to activate the "Bigg's Collection of Items" in South Perry. You need
to get 10 orange mushroom tops and 30 snail shells. That means you need to kill
Orange Mushrooms(80 HP, 15 exp). It seems a tedious and almost impossible task
unless you are super patient and can wait and deal 1 damage to these big
mushrooms. Fortunately, there are safe spots where you can jump attack without
having to get close to these things. Unfortunately, these spots are very
popular. The rewards are cheap anyway.

When you are all ready and set, move on to Victoria Island. Im sure you have at
least 150 mesos. Talk to Captain Shanks and proceed to Lith Harbour. At Lith
Harbour, you have two means of travelling to Ellinia: By foot or by taxi. Since
you are a beginner, you get 90% discount so you need to pay 10% fare for the
taxi! Take the taxi preferably. If you want to walk, its good to gain some exp,
but do not advance to level 9. Walking around is very risky indeed as you can
bump into some higher level monsters.

=[Getting a Magician Job]=
At Ellinia, climb to the highest point in the town and enter the large building
. Talk to Hines and hey presto, you are a Magician! Along with this new job,
you get one skill point and lots of extra MP. Skill points are used on skills,
which gives you mystical magic powers.

=[Ellinia Town Guide]=

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
4)Magician Skills
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lets take a look at the magician skills(ML: Master Level, R: Requirement)

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
*Improving Max MP Recovery* =Passive= (ML: 16):
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Additional points give you more MP recovered every 10 seconds. Base recovery
for MP is 3. MP recovered formula is Skills level*(Character Level/10)+3.

This skill is a MUST for all magicians. MP is needed for spells and all that
revolves around a magician is casting spells. Max this skill as fast as
possible or you will be stuck using lots of blue potions or waiting for ages
for MP to be recovered.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
*Improving Max MP Increase* =Passive=(ML: 10, R: Improving Max MP Recovery 5):
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Increases the max MP gain when you level up or when you add stats points to MP.
For every point into this skill, you get additional 2 MP when you level up and
additional 1 MP when you add stats point into MP.

This skill is extremely useful for magician. Having high MP regeneration should
be accompanied with more MP. Furthermore, Magic Guard works best with longer MP
.Although 2 additional MP when level up per point into this skill may seem
unimpressive. But at max level of 10, one level earns you 20 more MP and 10
levels add up to a whooping 200 MP more. Its advisable to max this as soon as
possible.

Level 1: 2 more AP on level up and 1 more AP on using stats point on MP
Level 10: 20 more AP on level up and 10 more AP on using stats point on MP

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Magic Guard* (ML: 20):
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 6 (Level 1-10)
12(level 11-20)
Partial damage to HP will be transfered to MP. For every point into this skill,
you get additional 4% damage absorbed by MP and duration of 30 seconds more.

I have heard people saying this skill makes you GOD! I didnt believe until i
tried it myself. At master level, 80% damage goes to MP and this really saves
you in precaurious situation. I once went to see Mushmom and its special attack
does 700+ damage. My poor HP is only around 400+. Without this skill, i would
have been dead, but luckily thanks to Magic Guard, i survived. Unfortunately,
this skills drains MP fast when you take damage and so should be used against
strong monsters that will kill you in 5 or less blows.

Level 1: 4% damage to MP, last for 30 seconds, 6 MP used
Level 20: 80% damage to MP, last for 600 seconds, 12 MP used
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
*Magic Armor*(ML: 20, R: Magic Guard 3):
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
MP used: 8 (Level 1-10)
16(Level 11-20)
Increases weapon defence by 2 and last 20 seconds more for each additional
point into this skill.

Quite useful for magicians for early levels but not as efficient later. Since
there are other skills with higher priority to be maxed, this skill will not
begin to show its effect until late level 25+. So my advice is don't bother
putting any point into this skill. This is because additional 40 weapon defence
isnt going to reduce a lot of damage from high level monsters and as a magician
, you should not be taking damage as much at higher levels.

Level 1: +2 weapon defence, last for 20 seconds, 8 MP used
Level 20: +40 weapon defence, last for 400 seconds, 16 MP used

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Energy Bolt*(ML: 20):
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 7 (level 1-10)
14(level 11-20)
Base damage of 17 at level 1 and 15% mastery. Additional 2 base damage every
additonal points into this skill. Additional 5% mastery for every 2 levels.

A basic magic attack for magician. It is not that good to put more than 1 point
into this since magic claw is a much better skill. For a start, Energy Bolt has
a lower cooldown rate so that monsters can easily recover from their knockback
to advance towards you. Secondly, this skill can be blocked by obstacles. This
is bad since as a magician, you should make use of terrain and obstacles to
avoid damage. Lastly, the basic damage reaches a maximum of 55 only. At second
job advancement, you get much better attack spells than this.

Level 1: Base dmg 17, 7 MP used, 15% mastery
Level 20: Base dmg 55, 14 MP used, 60% mastery
P.S: I believe Mastery affects the difference between maximum damage and
minimum damage. Other class also has this mastery thing and my Warrior
friend Aleksandr claims to have his minimum damage raised. I also found
my damage converge as my mastery in the spells increase. Who knows can you
please enlighten us?

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Magic Claw*(ML: 20, R: Energy Bolt 1):
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 10(level 1-10)
20(level 11-20)
Attacks twice with base damage of 6 at level 1 and 15% mastery. Additional 1
base damage from level 2-5. Additional 2 base damage from level 6-20.
Additional 5% mastery for every 2 levels.

A super cool attack since it attacks twice. It is considered the best magic
spell available to the magician befor 2nd job. Although its base damage reaches
a maximum of 40 only, the double attack works wonder and Energy Bolt is way
poorer in comparison. However, i do admit at low levels of Magic Claw, its
damage is really low.

Level 1: Base dmg 6, 10 MP used, 15% mastery
Level 2: Base dmg 7, 10 MP used, 15% mastery
Level 3: Base dmg 8, 10 MP used, 20% mastery
Level 4: Base dmg 9, 10 MP used, 20% mastery
Level 5: Base dmg 10, 10 MP used, 25% mastery
Level 6: Base dmg 12, 10 MP used, 25% mastery
Level 7: Base dmg 14, 10 MP used, 30% mastery
Level 8: Base dmg 16, 10 MP used, 30% mastery
Level 9: Base dmg 18, 10 MP used, 35% mastery
Level 10: Base dmg 20, 10 MP used, 35% mastery
Level 11: Base dmg 22, 20 MP used, 40% mastery
Level 12: Base dmg 24, 20 MP used, 40% mastery
Level 13: Base dmg 26, 20 MP used, 45% mastery
Level 14: Base dmg 28, 20 MP used, 45% mastery
Level 15: Base dmg 30, 20 MP used, 50% mastery
Level 16: Base dmg 32, 20 MP used, 50% mastery
Level 17: Base dmg 34, 20 MP used, 55% mastery
Level 18: Base dmg 36, 20 MP used, 55% mastery
Level 19: Base dmg 38, 20 MP used, 60% mastery
Level 20: Base dmg 40, 20 MP used, 60% mastery

*Explanation*
Anyway normally for abilities, the mp cost doubles after half of its master
level. Hence mp cost of Magic Claw becomes 20 instead of 10 starting from level
11. However, the level of mastery and damage added is not worth the double mp
cost. Alternatively, you can store 6 or more points and pump it to level 16 for
effects to show. However this is not advisable as you waste more mp killing
lower creeps and yet not strong enough to kill better ones. Might as well push
it to the max.

*Description*
Following this path, you get the maximum possible amount of MP available. To do
this, add Improving Max MP Increase. Magic claw starts to show its prowess with
10 points in it, hence you can only start fighting slimes in 1 hit KO at level
20. Furthermore, until level 14, your MP recovery rate is far too slow and
hence have to rely heavily on potions and have to wait for too long to recover
MP naturally. You can switch Magic Claw with MP recovery if you like too.

*Recommended Training*
Level 8-12 : With low Int and only 1 point in Magic Bolt, you are better off
killing Snails. Very tedious, very boring. But no choice.

!Why Snails?!
Thats because at your current level, its easy to kill lower snails in 1 hit KO.
If you went on to challenge Slimes, it is risky as you can get hurt easily and
have to drink Red Potions or heal for some time. Training is all about
efficiency isnt it?

Level 13-23: As you slowly level till 13, you can upgrade to better magic staff
and your higher Int enables you to attack Slimes using Magic Bolt
with 2-3 hit KO. From 19-23, your advancement into Magic Claw
enables you to start killing slimes in 1 hit KO.

!Why Slimes?!
Ok, as you get higher in level, you will be receiving less damage from Slimes.
And the lowest reaching 1 damage. So now you can station in the middle of the
Slime Tree where the Slimes spawn. Now you can kill them fast and efficient.

!Alternative: Pigs!
Why not try pigs when you are confident. Pigs have slightly more HP than Slimes
while their exp is also higher. Pig drop good stuff like Gold too. The problem
is that pigs are often accompanied by Ribbon Pigs and they do 20+ damage at low
levels to you. That hurts isnt it. So i usually train on Slimes.

level 24-30: Go kill Green Mushrooms, Horny Mushrooms or Bubblings. They have
a good spawn rate and with 20 points in Magic Claw, you can easily
do a 1-2 hit KO on them.

!Why Mushrooms?!
Ok, Green Mushroom drops Pan Lid(Best shield available to magician) and so why
not try your luck over there? They give good experience too! However, Horny
Mushroom is slightly weaker to magic and you might consider hitting them for
this advantage despite the 50 more HP. Horny Mushrooms give 7 more exp than
Greens so ts worth it though. Ok Bubblings hae 240 HP and are the equivalent
of Green Mushroom in terms of exp and their close attack damage. The good news
is Bubblings can be found concentrated on trains in the Subway Depot. Bad news
is the crowd of Bubblings can hurt you bad as they spawn almost eveywhere on
the train and you have to jump to get there.

!Alternative: Higher Levels!
With your Magic Claw maxed, you can take down almost any creature in the level
30-40s. Its tough of cause. So try out Zombie Mushroom, Evil Eyes and Fire
Boar as they drop good stuffs.

*Description*
Following this path, delay the gain in more Max MP. Its really OK, since you
lose out around total of 140 maximum MP compared to previous path. As you add
points to MP recovery first, you train faster with less rest in between and
can save on potion money which you could have spent on equipments. It is
possible for you to put 10 points into Magic Claw first before MP recovery but
since Magic Claw costs a whooping 10 MP, you will always run into situations
where MP is not enough to use. With earlier points into Claw, you train on
higher level monsters faster.

*Recommended Training*
Level 8-12 : With low Int and only 1 point in Magic Bolt, you are better off
killing Snails. Very tedious, very boring. But no choice.
Level 13-23: MP recovery is not a big problem for you as you enjoy killing
slimes with 2-3 hits. Keep doing this and switch to Magic Claw
when you kill Slimes in 1 hit KO.
level 24-30: Go kill Green Mushrooms, Horny Mushrooms or Bubblings. They have
a good spawn rate and with 20 points in Magic Claw, you can easily
do a 1-2 hit KO on them.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Mode 3: Pick 'n' Mix Path
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Ok this path really depends on personal preferance as you mix up the various
skills in different proportions. Things to keep in mind as you choose:
1)Magic Claw:
Good attack spell but useful with at least 5-10 points into it. MP consuming
and needs to be complemented with MP Recovery.
2)Improving Max MP Increase:
Lets you gain maximum MP advantage. Good to max out early yet not really make
a lot of difference. Good way to do is add a few points first and then carry
on with MP recovery so that you lose lesser Max MP.
3)MP Recovery:
Good for new players without a second account which can transfer money to the
magician to pay for equipment and potions. Im sure you wouldnt want a magician
who recovers 3 MP every 10 seconds so you.
4)Magic Guard:
Max this skill last as it wouldnt benefit you early on as you fight low level
monsters.
5)Magic Armor:
Share points in it with Magic Guard otherwise don't bother with it.

=[Training Spots till Lv 30]=
Good places with good spawn or terrain that can be used to avoid damage. The
recomended level is only a rough guage to the level when it is relatively safe
to train with ease.

*Ellinia*
-The Tree that Grew I-
Level: 8+
Monsters: Green Snails, Slimes(Lots).
From Ellinia, go 2 screen North West. The tree is infested with Slimes and some
times Green Snails. This is the place to go to if you want to train on a lot
of Slimes. Yes! A lot!

-Tree Dungeons-
Level: 20+
Monsters: Slimes, Green Mushroom(Lots), Horny Mushrooms(Lots).
From Ellinia, go 3 screen North West. Get into the middle tree hole and climb
all the way to the top. Enter the nearest 2 holes. On consist of only Green
Mushrooms and slimes while the other has Horny Mushrooms too. There is many
platforms for you to attack safely. People might have a debate on this since
some may think its troublesome to move up and down the Tree. But my opinion is
that its GREAT!

-Forest of Wisdom-
Level: 20+
Monsters: Slimes, Green Mushroom(Lots), Horny Mushrooms(Lots), Green Snails.
From Ellinia, go 2 screen South West. This is something like the Tree Dungeon
where you climb up ad down killing monsters.

-Dungeons, Southern Forest-
Level: 20+
Monsters: Slimes, Green Mushroom(Lots), Horny Mushrooms(Lots).
From Ellinia, go 3 screen South West. Get into any tree hole and you will see
those monsters. The different platforms provide a good place to train as you
can move from platform to platform to clear the area. If I didnt recall
wrongly, theres also some Lupin high up but quite rare.

*Henesys*
Level: 8+
-Henesys Training Ground-
Monsters: Stumps, Green Snails, Blue Snails, Red Snails, Slimes, Green Mushroom
,Orange Mushroom.
From Hennesys go one screen West! Thats all. Good place for all types of
monsters. Which is why it is full of people. Theres crate at both sides for
you to stand up there to heal or range from a distance. But dont count on that
if slimes are around, they can jump and knock you back so get as high up as
possible when you rest.

-Hidden Street: Blue Mushroom Forest-
Level: 25+
Monsters: Blue Snail, Blue Mushroom(Lots), Slime.
From Henesys, go 3 screen East till you reach "Victoria Road: The forest east
of Henesys". Climb to the highest spot and you will see a wooden pole with 2
signs and a mushroom on top. Press up in front to enter the hidden spot. The
Blue Mushrooms are annoying as they do serious damage to you at low levels. The
stray Slimes and Blue Snails also tend to provide cover for the Blue Mushroom
so please clear them off first.

-The Rain-Forest East of Henesys-
Level: 15+
Monsters: Pig, Ribbon Pig.
From Henesys, go 2 screen East. This long patch of grassy terrain has lots of
pigs and ribbon pigs. Yeah, this place is quite good for hunting pigs if you
dont like to be hurt. Just station at the sides and shoot whenever a new
pig appears.

*Lith Harbour*
-Hidden Street: Pig Beach-
Level: 15+
Monsters: Iron Hog(Rare), Pig, Ribbon Pig
From Lith Harbour, go North till you reach the 3 way split to Kerning and
Henesys. Of cause you can go from the other towns. Climb up using a ladder
onto one of the lower long stretch of platforms and you will see a patch of
yellow flowers. Press up around the flowers to enter. Lots of pigs which means
you can get hurt. My advice is change channel when you see Iron Hogs.

*Perion*
-To Dungeon-
Level: 15+
Monsters: Green Snails, Blue Snails, Red Snails, Stump, Dark Stump, Axe Stump,
Dark Axe Stump, Boar, Fire Boar.
The whole stretch of maps from Perion to dungeon is inhabited by loads of
monsters. Good for training. Try to keep away from the higher level Stumps
and Fireboar until level 25+.

-Hidden Street: The Land of Wild Boar I-
Level: 25+
Monsters: Wild Boar(Lots), Dark Axe Stump
From Perion, go one screen East. Jump down to the bottom of the map and press
up in front on a wooden door near the left end. Good place to find boars. Try
to stay close to platform on the left if you are low level.

-Hidden Street: Over the Wall-
Level: 20+
Monsters: Stump,Dark Stump, Axe Stump, Dark Axe Stump
From "Hidden Street: The Land of Wild Boar I", go to the bottom and press up
at the middle door. Heres a good place to cut trees, all types.

*Kerning*
-Subway-
Level: 20+
Monsters: Bubblings(Lots)
The trains are full of Bubblings. Less people come here to train because they
hate the jumping around to get in. But if you have completed the quest, why not
train here and get free ores when you leave? To go, wait till level 20 then
talk to Shumi to activate the quest. Then go into the subway and buy the ticket
to construction site B1.

-Kerning City Construction Site-
Level: 15+
Monsters: Octopus, Blue Snail, Stump, Orange Mushroom, Green Mushroom
From Kerning City, go South one screen. The wooden structures on the left are
packed with monsters. Each level of platform is crowded so let it regenerate as
you cycle through the channel to clear the platforms.

*Sleepywood*
-Ant tunnel-
Level: 20+
Monsters: Horny Mushroom, Zombie Mushroom, Evil Eye, Stirge
From Sleepwood, enter the portal on the right. There are lots of monsters in
here but you must be careful as they damage you quite heavily. Popular place
because of the good spawn of Horny Mushroom. High levels go for the Zombie
Mushroom and Evil Eye. Stay close to sleepywood if you want easy healing and
shop access.

-Dungeon: Sleepy Dungeon-
Level: 20+ (Do not touch Curse Eye, Lupin, Dark Stone Gollems)
Monsters: Slimes, Curse Eye, Lupin, Green Mushroom,Horny Mushroom,Dark Stone
Gollem
Press up at the first house from the right in Sleepywood. There are many floors
in this dungeon and you will find different monsters as you climb lower. Dont
stray too low. I once mistook the Dark Stone Gollem as Stone Gollems. Answer is
they are nasty but luckily my level is high. So stay on first 2 levels.

6)2nd Job Advancement
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
So you are level 30 and ready to make your 2nd job advancement? Read on....

=[2nd Job Advancement]=
You need to be level 30 and have used up all the SP you have gained until
level. Go talk to Hines again and he will give you a letter for the 2nd job
instructor. The 2nd job instructor is found 3 screens North-West of Ellinia,
right on the very top. You can access the path to the top using the path that
you use to reach the tree dungeons. Give the letter to the instructor and
you will be warp inside a tree. Fight the monsters which will drop Black
Marbles. Collect 30 of these marbles and talk to the instructor on top. He
will take away all your 30+ marbles and give you a Proof of the Hero. Take
this back to Hines and choose a job. You get a new set of skills, more MP
still and 4 more slots in your ETC inventory. Can't remeber if he gives HP too
. Can anyone confirm? Anyway, you can choose one out of 3 jobs available:
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ice/Lightning Wizard
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Ice lightning wizards command the elements of ice and lightning. Ice has the
advantage of freezing enemies and hence stop them from attacking. Lightning
can mass attack up to 6 targets simultaneously. From level 30 onwards, it is
better for you to master either ice or lightning first. If you prefer to fight
high level monsters efficiently and fight fire elemental creatures, go ice.
If you prefer mass damage on lower level monsters, it is good to choose
lightning to do 1-3 hit KO on lower level monsters.

Ice/Lightning Wizard Skill:
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*MP Eater* =Passive= (ML: 20)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
At level 1, this skill has a 11% chance of stealing 21% of the enemy's MP.
For every additional point into this skill, the chance of activating increase
by 1% more and the MP stolen increases by 1% more.

You might think 11% chance and 21% of enemy MP absorbed is low. Its true, you
can absorb like 5 MP each successful time on a Green Mushroom for example.
However, consider this, for every 1000 Green Mushroom killed, the expected
MP stolen overall is 578. So on the long run since you need tens of thousands
of monsters to raise a level, you would have stolen quite a lot of MP. Not to
mention if you max this skill!

Level 1: 11% chance of stealing 21% of enemy's MP
Level 20: 30% chance of stealing 40% of enemy's MP

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
*Meditation* (ML: 20, R: MP Eater 3)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
MP used: 10 MP (level 1-10)
20 MP (level 11-20)
Increases Magic attack by 1 at level 1 and lasts for 10 seconds. For every
additional level, Meditation adds 1 more to magic attack and last for 10
seconds more. Meditation can also affect party members around you.

Using Meditation allows your damage to increase and accuracy to increase. It
allows you to kill monsters faster and with lesser spells.

Level 1: + 1 magic attack, last for 10 seconds, 10 MP
Level 20: +20 magic attack, last for 200 seconds, 20 MP

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Teleport* (ML: 20)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 60 MP (level 1)
-3 more MP (level 2-10)
-2 more MP (level 11-20)

Teleport allows you to warp a short distance in a specified direction. This
allow you to travel faster, avoid damage, and attack enemies further away.
However, you cannot teleport past certain obstacles. Starts with teleport
distance 130. Im not sure if distance will increase because I put 1 point into
Teleport only. Can any one confirm?

Teleport is good to use for lightning wizard as you can teleport into the
middle of the crowd without having to jump in and take damage in the process.
Its a useful skill and so put 1 point into it as early as possible and try to
max it later.

Level 1: 60 MP, 130 distance
Level 2: 57 MP, 130 distance
Level 3: 54 MP, 130 distance
Level 4: 51 MP, 130 distance

Level 17: 19 MP, 130 distance
Level 18: 17 MP, 130 distance

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Slow* (ML: 20)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 8 MP (level 1-10)
16 MP (level 11-20)

Slow will reduce the movement speed of 6 monsters by 2 and last for 2 seconds
at level 1. For every additional point, the speed will be reduced by 2 more
and last 2 seconds more.

Not that great spell after all. It is useful only for a long stretch of
terrain which you can do the hit-and-run technique. Don't add points into this
if you can.

Level 1: -2 Enemy Movement, 2 seconds duration, 8 MP
Level 20: -40 Enemy Movement, 40 seconds duration, 16 MP

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
*Cold Beam* (ML: 30)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
MP used: 12 MP (level 1-15)
24 MP (level 16-30)

Cold Beam creates icicles which will damage enemies and freeze them if they
are freeze suceptible. Monsters of ice element and boss cannot be freezed.
At level 1, base damage is 13, 1 second freeze and 15% mastery. For every 1
level, base damage +3. For every 3 level, mastery +5%. At level 16, freeze
duration doubles to 2 seconds. Cold Beam deals 150% damage to fire based
monsters.

This is the best skill for killing high level monsters, especially those with
long range attacks. Without freezing them, they can still hit you from a
distance away. For example, Lupins, Undead Lupins, Umti and Tauromancis and
Taurospear. Cold Beam can kill fire boars in 1-2 hit KO soon and allow you to
hunt Fire drakes efficiently.

Level 1: 13 Base Damage, 1 second freeze, 12 MP, 15% mastery
Level 30: 100 Base Damage, 2 second freeze, 24 MP, 60% mastery

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Thunder Bolt* (ML: 30)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 20 MP (level 1-15)
40 MP (level 16-30)

Thunderbolt hits up to 6 target around you and deals 150% damage to water
elemental monsters. Base damage starts at 2 at level 1 and +2 for each
additional level. Mastery +5% every 3 level.

At around base damage of 50+ , you can easily kill monsters like Green
Mushroom, Horny Mushroom with 1 hit. You can therefore choose a good spot for
these creatures to spawn and fry them. Clang and Lorangs are weak to lightning
too and you can hunt them when your level is very high. The damage of this
spell starts too low though and takes long to build up.

Ok, lightning wizards beware. Thunder Bolt can knockback. However, the
direction of knockback is determined by the direction the monster is facing.
If the monster is facing you, it will be pushed backwards. Unfortunately,
if the monster's back is facing you, it will be pushed towards you and hurting
you. The second situation happens often when you jump into a middle of a crowd
where every monster is in a random direction. To avoid this, try to jump on
one side of the crowd so all of them faces you. But by doing this, you might
be unable to target some of them.

Level 1: 2 Base Damage, 20 MP, 15% mastery
Level 30: 60 Base Damage, 40 MP, 60% mastery

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fire/Poison Wizard
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
Fire/Poison Wizards command the elements of fire and poison. In the 2nd job,
fire has the single most powerful fire spell. It is easy for fire wizards to
pick on ice monsters or high level monsters with as little hits as possible.
Unfortunately, poison is not as useful since the damage takes place over time
which in this period the monster can attack you.

28 MP (level 16-20)

Fire arrow is a single fire spell which deals 150% damage to ice based
monsters. At level 1, base damage is 33 and mastery is 15%. For every
additional level, base damage +3. Mastery +5% every 3 level.

This spell reaches a high damage of 120. This allow you to kill most monsters
easily. It is good to go hunt Cold Eyes when this spell is maxed. Otherwise
Dark Axe Stumps are also good for target practice.

Level 1: Base Damage 33, 15% mastery, 14 MP used
Level 30: Base Damage 120, 60% mastery, 28 MP used

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
*Poison* (ML:30)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-
MP used: 10 MP (level 1-15)
20 MP (level 16-20)

Poison does damage over time. At level 1, there is a 31% chance of poisoning
a target, base damage is 12 and last for 4 seconds. Mastery starts at 15% and
increases by 5% every 3 level. Base Damage +2, chance of success +1% and
duration +4 seconds each level.

My god! This skills is really useless. It cant even have a 100% success rate
and will do only 1 damage to bosses. Give up on this skill will you?

Level 1: Base Damage 12, 31% chance of success,4 seconds ,15 % mastery, 10 MP
Level 30: Base Damage 70, 60% chance of success,40 seconds ,60 % mastery,20 MP

Cleric
=-=-=-=
The holy wizards who own the unique healing spells which other class do not
possess. Those who choose Cleric get to save up on potion money, charge into
battle recklessly(since they can heal anyway). Unfortunately, they cant get
to use high power spells and will be sticking to Magic Claw until if they like
points into Holy Arrow. As a Cleric, you will certainly be welcomed by any
party. The best benefit of Cleric is the ability to dispatch undead mobs
quickly as Heal not only recovers HP of your party, but it also attacks
multiple undead enemies. Although Holy Arrow has low base damage when maxed,
it can still fry undead enemies.

Cleric Skills:

*Heal* (ML: 30)

MP used: 12 (Level 1-15)
24 (Level 16-30)

Heals yourself and the party near you. Can damage undead enemies near you up
to 6 targets. Starts with 10% of your HP healed at level 1. For every
additional level, heal 10% more. The damage is determined by the number of
monsters affected.

This spell is why you want to be a cleric for. This can heal yourself, make you
the hottest member in a party as well as do a Thunder Bolt like attack on those
undeads. Max this skill first! I have seen people clinging to the rope and
healing Undead Mushroom. Awww!

Level 1: 12 MP, 10% of your HP healed
Level 20: 24 MP, 300% of your HP healed

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Invincible* (ML: 20, R:Heal 5)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 15 MP (Level 1-10)
30 MP (Level 11-20)

Level 1 Invincible reduces weapon damage by 11% for 15 seconds. 1% extra damage
reduced for further levels. Durations extend 15 more seconds each level.

Cool skill for a cleric, since a 30% damage reduction reduces the reliance on
Magic Guard. This is because a cleric can heal fully his/her HP with high level
into Heal but is still vulnerable to 1 hit KO monsters--such as Taurospear when
you are level 40. To switch on Magic Guard drains MP unneccesary and waste MP
since lost HP can be healed fully but not MP. So thats where invincible comes
in. Its kind of like raise max HP by 30% and prevent 1 hit KOs from occuring so
often. For exanple, 600 HP at level 40+ will be equivalent to having HP of 780
HP, thus surviving attacks from the Taurospear 700+ damage. Max this!

Level 1: 15 MP, 11% damage reduced, 15 seconds duration
Level 20: 30 MP, 30% damage reduced, 300 seconds duration

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Bless* (ML: 30, R: Invincible 5)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 12 MP (Level 1-15)
24 MP (Level 16-30)

Level 1 Bless increases party's accuracy, avoidability, weapon and magic
defence by 1 for 10 seconds. For every additional level, Bless adds 1 more
to the party's accuracy, avoidability, weapon and magic defence by 1 and
last 10 seconds more.

This skill makes people love clerics even more! However, this removes the need
for you to put points in Magic Armour. For the cleric yourself, the benefits
are restricted to avoidability and weapon defence since the others are not too
relevant to a magician. In my opinion this may not be all that fantastic, but
put some points into it to become the party's favourite. Don't max it if you
have other priorities.

Level 1: 12 MP, +1 to party's acc, avoid, weap and mag def for 10 seconds.
Level 30: 24 MP, +30 to party's acc, avoid, weap and mag def for 300 seconds.

*Holy Arrow* (ML: 30)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
MP used: 12 MP (Level 1-15)
24 MP (Level 16-30)

Fires a Holy arrow at the enemy. Dark monsters recieve 150% of usual damage.
Starts at 12 base damage and 15% mastery at level 1. Mastery increases by 5%
for every 3 levels. Base damage +2 each level.

Ok, this spell is a replacement for the Magic Claw and Heal when facing single
dark monsters. This is useful since it has a higher base damage and after
amplification, damage to Dark monsters will be large. However, against other
normal monster the damage will only be slightly higher than Magic Claw. Good
idea to max this.

Level 1: 12 MP, 12 Base Damage, 15% mastery
Level 1: 24 MP, 70 Base Damage, 60% mastery

Level 51-70: Train on Red Drakes and any high level 50+ monsters you like.

examples include, Green Mushroom, Horny Mushroom, Bubbling, Boars
, Fire Boars.

13)My Story...If anyone is interested :)
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kk. Lets start with my first contact with Maple Story. It all starts one fine
day in Runescape, when some of my friends broached the topic of Maple Story.
Unwilling to jump to a new game so soon, i had to ask a few questions. Well, its
a bad start. My friend told me about how horrible Mushrooms are. He described
a pack of those evil terrible Mushrooms, and when he jumped into their midst,
he can't escape. He was tossed around like a rag doll, untill he is finally
killed valiantly in battle. Well, Bowser0 is the guy im talking about here.

"Ok, so there are these Mushroom crowds. Sounds bad but maybe if I don't mess
around with them," I thought to myself.

There still isn't drive to push me into the marvelous world of Maple Story, yet
.
After few days later, a terrible tale came to my ears: Horrible monkeys, Lupins
that is. They throw bananas that does 100+ damage, my friend being only a few
hundred HP. Imagining a street full of those, I shunned from Maple Story...

Until, one of my friend in school, Fergh, told me that he is going to join
Maple Story. Hes been talking about how it looks like Mario in terms of the
jumping and how RPG it is. Well, no harm trying out isnt it? I downloaded the
client soon afterwards, began my first trip into the World as Draglung the
Warrior. I have always used warriors in other RPGs since i like the way they
can attack without limitations, being brave and upfront in battle.

A funny thing to say, as soon as im addicted to it, the big server check thing
that extend beyond time frame occurred on the 2nd day. Did that quench my
onterest in the game. My answer is a big NO! Why? Because the pause fueled my
interest further.

Anyway, after days of familarising myself in the game, i found myself a level
25 warrior. But my interest has faded. One major reason: I made a grave mistake
. I put 12 points into HP! These points could have been into my Dex. Ends up im
a bad aimer, always miss and taking damage.

My major turning point comes when i met Fex85. That fine day im spending my
time in the Tree Dungeon, minding my own business. Then this Level 33 magician
came in. Did his powerful 1 hit KO on those mushrooms. Whoa! I made this
friend since we had a nice little chat over there.

From this pro mage, i got to know the super rare Pan Lid, Goku's Headpiece and
other magician wares. The last straw came from Fergh. He wasnt Fergh before, he
had an older account whose name i have long forgotten. Fergh has abandoned his
previous account to become a magician! Seeing his daring choice, i switched
over to magician.

From that day on, Draglung0 is born! I find magician a fun job....As of the
time i have typed this, im already a level 41 Ice/Lightning Wizard.

14)Getting into a Party
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Party, an important way for players to gang up on super powerful creatures and
also train faster. In a party, each member gets more total experience from the
monsters and if all members are equally efficient, it creates faster levelling
for people. However, the person who makes the kill gets most experience and
members with lower levels receive less experience than members with higher
levels. Lastly, monsters with high levels will also cause low level members to
gain less or even no experience for being in the party.

If you have decided to join a party, lets see the role of the different
magicians in the party:

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Magician(1st Job)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Before you get a decent Magic Claw attack and is using pathetic Energy Bolt to
level, you will be leeching the party's experience. Try to party with players
around less than level 30, or else you will receive pathetic 1 or even no
experience. Please note that if you are below level 10, you will be recieving
too little experience form players above level 20 so join a party of level 15
to 19s. Make sure you ask these players if they will let you leech for a while
, that is gain free experience. If they agree, just sit there and idle. After
a level hopefully, thank the guy and move on with your own life. Anyway, if
you plan to leech, don't fight. Because a large percentage of your experience
will be diverted to the high levels, it is pointless to fight on your own.

If you are already started into level 15-29, it is alright to form a party with
similar levels to gang up on powerful creatures like evil eyes, fire boars. You
shall stop leeching if you are capable of fighting. I have seen level 20+
players begging to leech, this is really senseless and lazy since they already
possesses the ability to train independently.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Ice/Lightning(2nd Job)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Ice*
Equiped with the ability to freeze enemies, you should be ahead of the party
to freeze the enemy, even if your Cold Beam is lower in level. This is to hold
the enemy in place as your party pummels them with attacks. However, using ice
is not absolutely neccesary if you train on lower level monsters that can be
knocked back. For monsters with much higher level than your party, they will
not be knocked back and you people will sometimes miss. Freeze them!!

When you maxed out ice, it is very annoying as your ice spells do heavy damage
. I once party with an Ice wizard who went around blasting monsters with Cold
Beam and killing them swiftly. So no point fighting close to your party as you
will be snatching most kills. Move on quietly to somewhere else to train.
Of cause unless your party faces a super strong enemy and needs you to freeze
it.

*Lightning*
Oh man I love to party with lightning wizards even though im one myself. When
training on lower levels, you can see these lightning wizard diving into the
midst of monsters and after some chaos, you will see lots of experience gained.

Against higher level monsters, you need to max out lightning to deal decent
damage sufficient to kill them. You also need a Cleric to do full time healing
while you blast away with thunder. I once partner with a Cleric and wreck havoc
at crowds of Red Drake, Cold Eyes and even Wild Cargo.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Fire/Poison(2nd Job)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Fire*
Fire wizards are power cannons. They do heavy damage without any special effect
. So if a fire wizard joins a party, all they do is fire off as fast as
possible. Not much tactics.

*Poison*
Seriously I don't expect people to put points into poison. If you do and get
into a party, I don't know why you are there! This is because if you team up
with your party on a powerful monster, they will be doing damage faster then
you. If you are quietly fighting monsters by yourself away from your party,
you will have to wait for a long time before the poison claims its victim.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Cleric(2nd Job)
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Yeah I love clerics. They help you save on health potions and saves you from
death. I have heard many praises for clerics and i believe most of them deserve
it. Unfortunately, some clerics are selfish! They heal when they are damaged
and will ignore their party members. Ends up people have to shout at the cleric
to heal them. So, to be a good cleric, heal party members when they are close
to you and are damaged. If they venture far away, heal them when they suddenly
return close to you. It indicates they need free healing, no questions asked!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
15)Q & A
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Q: Where can i find the Maple Staff(Lv 35, +100 maxHP) as shown on the
Mapleglobal website?
31/12/2004 Pendejochi

A: My guess is that the Maple Staff isn't ready for release yet. To prove my
words, I have several evidences here.

Firstly, i have checked numerous sites and it seems even the Japanese version
has not released the Maple Staff. Furthermore, no one on maple global has
mentioned finding a Maple Staff.

Secondly, other Maple weapons are also not found yet. My buddy, Bowser0, also
desire to own a Maple Bow. Like the Maple staff, no one has seen or talked
about it. However, he heard a rumour about it being dropped by monsters on
Ossyria.

Lastly, you can check the Maple Global site under the Etc item and still see
Jr.Yeti's Skin, Lunar Pixie's Moon Piece and other items found only on Ossyria.
Hence there is a high chance that the Maple Staff will be released along with
Ossyria, even though it is featured on the Maple Global site.

P.S. Heard that Ossyria is going to be released soon. Lets wait patiently.

Q: Why isn't Poison as good? There are people who put points into Poison.

A: Well, I don't like Poison from the effect it does, but some people have
their own preference, don't they? At most I can think of the following pros and
cons:

Pro: 1) Can hit and run. Then wait till the monster falls.
2) Effect last for a long time at max.
3) Can be used on Fire monsters.

Con: 1) 40% chance of failing.
2) Easily being KSed.
3) Posion base damage reaches 70 only.
4) Monster killed over a long period, can hurt you in the meantime.
5) Useless on Boss such as Mushmom.
6) Useless when 3rd Job advancement comes out. Theres a skill in 3rd Job
which deals fire damage and can poison. Cool.

Q: From level 15-20, isn't Green Mushroom and Pigs a better choice?

A: Well, its all personal choice. Like I say, Pigs are an alternative, but you
have to face Ribbon Pigs too. Pigs also deal heavy damage and their longer HP
require high Magic Claw which is not available at low levels unless mp regen
and max mp increase is sacrificed. Pigs give 15 exp which is 1 and a half
slimes. But their damage is much higher. Why take more damage?

Green Mushroom sounds good too but they take a large portion of your HP off you
. If you want to play obstacle fights, that is standing and hitting from safe
spots, your training speed will greatly be compromised. If you are thinking of
Hennesys training ground, think of those people KSing you with 1 hit KO.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
16)Monster Tactic
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Haha, fighting monsters are about almost the core of this game. I thus create
this monster tactic to give some good advice on how to fight monsters
efficiently. However, every individual have their own style and so need not
take my guide as the best. Discover your own unique tactics if you wish.

=-=-=-=-=-=
Knockback
=-=-=-=-=-=
Knockback is the effect of stunning the monster and psuhing it backwards
temporary after you attack it with a spell. This is very important as it help
avoid damage by keeping the monster at a safe distance away. Imagine the
monster zooming towards you unstoppable!

To succesfully knockback, you need:
1) High enough Magic. The level of Magic needed is affected by Intelligence,
Equipment Bonus and temporary boost(Potions, Meditation etc). Hence, if you
cannot knockback, try raising a few levels to get points to put into Int.
Alernatively, use better equipment or drink some potions. The minimum level of
Magic required to start knocking back the monster depends on the level of the
monster you are fighting. The more advanced the monster, the higher your
Magic needs to be.

2) The base damage of the spell. The higher the base damage the higher chance
of knocking back. I got this idea from Croco. My Thunder Bolt with 60 base dmg
can sometimes knockback yet my Magic Claw base dmg 40 cannot even affect the
Croco. This like Magic also depend on the monster in question.

Maybe some other factors influences this too. Welcome anybody to espress their
findings.

Anyway, the direction of knockback depends on the direction that the spell
is shot from. Hence for Magic Claw, Energy Bolt and Fire Arrow etc they will
always push the enemy away from you if successful. For Heal and Thunder Bolt,
the direction of knockback depends on the direction the monster faces. The
monster will always be pushed in the direction its back is facing. So if the
monster's back faces you, it is likely it will injure you.

=-=-=-=-=-=
Teleport
=-=-=-=-=-=
Later when I discuss specific monster tactics, i will leave out teleport. What
can I say? Teleport always prove useful in escaping from monsters.
Heres some Teleport tactics:

1) Teleport away from fast approaching monsters. Useful against monsters which
run faster than you do. After teleporting turn back and attack!

2) Cross over a monster without jumping over it. Teleport is essential as some
monsters are too large for you to jump over them.

3) Hit & Run. Activate the attack spell then quickly cast teleport. This allow
you to hit monsters within range when you activate the spell yet you get to
teleport away to safety. This will not work if you reverse the process. This is
because there is cooldown after teleport and you cannot cast the atack spell
instantly. This might also bring you out of range of the monster you are
trying to hit. This Hit & Run tactic is effective against monster with range
attack such as Lupin and Umti. You need to hit them and quickly zoom out of
their attack range.

4) Overcome natural obstacles. Teleport can help you access some unapproachable
places where jumping cannot reach. This helps you to use the terrain more
efficiently in fighting monsters.

5) Travelling long distance in a short time. This works wonder if you max out
Teleport and teleporting cost 13 MP only!

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
Specific Monsters
=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=
*Snail/Blue Snail/Red Snail/Shroom*
These monsters are small and they lack the ability to jump. It is easy to avoid
them by jumping over their head. They are slow as well so you can easily kill
them from a safe distance away.

*Stump/Dark Stump/Axe Stump/Dark Axe Stump*
They are also slow and unable to jump. However, their sheer body size makes it
risky to jump over them. Best tactic is hit it and retreat then hit it again.

*Slime/Bubbling*
These slimes move at reasonable speed and can jump. I have situations where I
attempt to jump over them and they suddenly leap up at me. Therefore, you can
try to leap over them only if you are forced into dire situation.

*Pig/Ribbon Pig/Iron Hog*
Pigs are quite fast and they usually love to rush straight at you. Steady
yourself and attack them, if they manage to get close, jump over them and their
fast speed easily take themselves past you.

*Green Mushroom/Horned Mushroom*
They are small mushrooms and are unable to jump. You can leap over them if they
are walking towards you. Not much tactic as they do not move very fast as well.

*Orange Mushroom/Blue Mushroom/Zombie Mushroom*
These monsters are like slimes. They can jump around and bounce around. One
problem is they are too big for you to jump over. Never try to leap over them.
Instead retreat or steady yourself in face of them.

*Octopus*
They are tall and cannot jump. Similarly you won't be able to jump over them.
Just attack them as normal. The only problem is that them like to move around
and if theres a lot of them, they will knock into you from both sides.

*Stirge*
They are very annoying. They fly around so its not easy for you to aim at. If
you manage to anger them but not killing them, they will fly towards you and
stay close to your body. This makes it very hard to hit them. If this happens,
run for a long distance and while they come after you, hit them in their faces.
If you use Thunder Bolt then its no problem at all.

*Jr Necki*
Tiny snakes which you will easily miss at low levels. My advice is hit them
from afar and hold down your attack spell button until you confirm that they
are dead. I know this because at higher levels when I can 1 hit KO them, I
usually press Magic Claw once and sometimes miss! They are fast and if you miss
them, jump over them and continue.

*Wild Boar/Fire Boar*
They are fast, wild and loves to jump! The best tactic is to stand still and
knockback them. If there are too many of them, try leaping over them as they
rush at you, scoring hits as you land. Eventually you can kill most of them.
Sometimes if they jump at the same time as you, you will get hurt too.

*Evil Eye/Cursed Eye/Cold Eye*
They can jump and their body is long, making it difficult to jump over them.
However, they are slow and likes to idle around sometimes. You must be careful
as they can leap at you when they are pretty close. In mid-air, your attacks
may not be able to target them.

*Ligator/Croco*
If you can knockback them, they are easy to kill. If not, they move fast enough
to approcah you before you can kill them. In this case, you need Cold Beam to
freeze them or simply use the Sewer terrain to attack them from adjacent
platforms and watch them stare at you helplessly.

*Wraith/Jr.Wraith*
They drift around quickly and can easily hurt you. In the subway construction
site B2/3, they spawn at random location and you can easily get hurt. Ideal
place for clerics though. Other wizards can try to enter the portal in front
of the ticketing machine and go deep in to find Wraiths and Jr.Wraiths.

*Lupin/Undead Lupin*
They are fairly fast and the most lethal weapon is their range banana attack.
If you can freeze them, they are easy kill. Otherwise, you can hit them then
run for a long distance. Then stand still and wait for them to come into range
and attack them. Do not try to approach them yourself because they can start
throwing bananas faster than you.

*Umti*
Pretty much same as Lupins but they move much slower. They use water spit as
their range instead of banana.

*Lorang/Clang*
These crabs are fast. They can easily catch up with you. They are usually found
in clusters so avoid them unless you have lightning. Their damage is heavy so
try to attack them from adjacent platforms. They can jump pretty high so do not
stay on shells for too long as they can jump up to get you.

*Copper Drake/Drake*
They are pretty massive and even teleport cannot ensure that you can cross over
it. Single them out to attack when you can knockback them, otherwise you will
suffer heavy losses when they gang up on you.

*Red Drake*
Cold Beam works wonder on them. Besides behaving same as other drakes, they
have a fire ball range attack. The fire balls are slow and easy to avoid but it
prevents you from attacking continuosly of cause unless you freeze them solid.
Pretty much not very appetising to other classes.

*Stone Golem/Dark Stone Golem*
Very huge but very slow. Make use of their speed to attack them and running
away occasionally to put distance between you can the Golems. They cannot catch
up with you on a long stretch of clearing.

*Malady*
Pretty like Stirge except they really hurts. The forest where you find them is
made up of platforms so its not easy to run and turn around to hit them. Try to
jump all the way to the bottomost platform to start the fight.

*Mushmom*
Mushmom's touch is deadly, but its skill is worse. It can do an earthquake
attack if you anger it so jump to avoid it. Best fighting it with a party. Get
a thief to anger it and lure it to the extreme right and turn on Dark Sight to
avoid damage, then people can jump off the rope on the left and start attacking
. Finally return to the rope when Mushmom comes back and repeat the process
again.

*Wild Cargo*
I attack these creatures from safe spots in Tunnel of Lost Lights II when they
sometimes are trapped between different layers of rocky platform. This is the
safest way because once you reach the Drake's Meal Table, there will be a horde
of Cold Eyes and Wild Cargo! Scary so get a Lighting wizard and a cleric to do
the dirty work.

*Tauromancis/Taurospear*
Very scary. Can 1 hit KO you if you are at low levels. Best fight them at high
levels or use Cold Beam. If not you will suffer the wrath of their lightning
area range attack. Last time my party went there my party member angers it. The
resulting lightning hurts me too. Ouch.

*Jr.Barlog*
Havent fought it so I can't comment.

*Taiwan Maple Story Fansite*: http://maple.playstar.idv.tw/job/cleric.htm
Ooh, in chinese and i used it to double check for cleric 2nd job skills. Theres
a difference in this site which says Bless needs Lv 5 Heal instead of Lv 5
Invincible. Can anyone confirm? Unfortunately, this site also shows that Bless
max out at level 20 only. Hmmm.
