Q: Everyone knows about crouching on that mushroom in area 1, right?
A: Apparently not. Anyway, there's a mushroom in area one that, if you
crouch on it, gives you the firesword, dragon helmet, and lion's
shield. It's not hard to find.
Q: Do the plants that grow in my way hurt me?
A: No; in fact, if you hit its flower, it will give you hearts, which
refill your life meter.
Q: How do I kill the tree at the end of stage 1?
A: Having a weapon that shoots makes this bit much easier. Continually
move left 'n' right, evading fireballs while firing away at the
tree's mouth.
If you don't have a shooting-weapon, then you'll have to avoid the
killer tree and get the magic lamp. Go down the first pit and to the
left; the magic lamp is concealed in the bricks. Go up (only way you
can go) and to the right as far as you can. Drop down into the pit
and go right, and go through the path of breakable bricks to the
right. The magic lamp takes you to the next level.
Q: What about the golem in stage 2?
A: As soon as you start, go after the head.. it'll pop pretty easily.
Jump up on the second-highest step and use your weapon when the body
approaches. Duck when the body punches..
Q: blah blah fire octopus blabla stage 3 etc..
A: Get a shooting weapon (bow+arrow; red sword) beforehand. The octopus
attacks the exact way the tree does, and you can avoid the attack if
you swim to the top left, where the fireballs can't reach you. As
soon as the fireballs stop, swim down and fire away. repeat as
necessary.
Q: ... threeheaded dragon?
A: Fly to the top of the screen; the dragon follows you. When the cloud
reaches the top, angle down to the lower-right corner, face left, and
start firing with whatever weapon you have.
Q: ... ice-spider?
A: Go to the right side of the screen.. if you have the wings, just fly
next to the spider and shoot arrows into its mouth. If you don't have
the wings, stand near it, and jump and shoot into the mouth. The
bow+arrow is the only weapon that works!
Q: ... red lobster?
A: Stand in the middle of the bottom-right platform, face left, and fire
away until the monster dies. Red sword is best; ball+chain or fire
sword is ok as well. Remember: do not pick up the key after the
lobster is beaten!
Q: How do I find my way through this labyrinth?
A: You have to find the white harp and the lamp to escape. Find the room
that's made up mostly of blocks. Break all the blocks.. on the wall
you'll find a mural of a lady in a red dress. Catch the white harp
when it appears (the room will flash yellow). Continue to the right,
and break the stones to find the lamp.
Q: OK, what about the final boss?
A: - you must have the white harp from the labyrinth.
- the best weapon to use is the red sword.
- attack medusa's shield until it's destroyed.
- crouch on medusa's left shoulder, face right, and hit its elbow to
destroy the sword.
- now turn, and face medusa, and hit the the area just above its mouth
to stop the fireballs.
- finally, stand with your back against its mouth, and swing your
sword as the heads approach. Kill off the heads and you're done.
