Note: Here quick, so I don't waste your time:
What you will find in this FAQ: A quick, printable document with
directions on where to go. Done in the traditional American style
of "short and sweet." Minimal if no spoilers.
What you will NOT find: Boss stratagies, item lists, magic lists. You can figure
out how to beat the bosses, the items will be told when they are needed, and so
will magic in a certain section... Other than that, consult ToastyFrog's most
worthy but HUGE FAQ on Chrono Cross (even if he has many translation mistakes.)
I expect you are a most worthy RPG gamer and can figure out the battle system and
know when to use which spells (ie. Fire magic on Water enemies, etc.) This FAQ is
for the "professional" player, an understanding of at least Katakana helps. Do
remember that weapons are more effective than spells! This is for printing and
quick reference without actually being "walked through" with spoilers.

1. Mystery Dungeon (The Demo!!)

- Find your way to the pillar of light thingie
- Step on the glowing magenta platform
- Enter the gate

2. Aruni Village
-------------------------------------
- Talk to Marge (Mom)
- Go to the docks and talk to Rena (NOT Lenna!!!)
- Get a Shellfish Window Skin from the item stand
- Get the Shark Amulet from some guy in his basement
- You may get the Heckran Bone under the bed in the bar
- DO NOT let Poshul (the dog, I think that's what it is) join you!!
- Leave

3. Lizard Grotto

- Push the boulder in front of the cave, fight the first Kodomo
- Use the cliff to leap onto the second Kodomo
- You must just chase and fight the third Kodomo, then fight Mama Kodomo
- Exit left to the beach, it's all straight forward to...
- The Chrono Cross demo ends here, by the way

4. ANOTHER WORLD

- Go to Aruni and talk to Marge and Rena
- Go to the North Cape and examine the tombstone
- Fight Karsh, Sugar Lou, and Salton
- Name Kid (not Kidd!!) but DON'T let her join you (second option, three times)
- Rena and Poshul joins (this is the ONLY way to get Rena!)
- With either Kid or Rena/Poshul, procede to the Hidora Swamp

5. Hidora Swamp

- Go northwest, find a guy who will give you the Radioactive Suit
- Leave for now, got to the Mountain Pass

6. Mountain Pass
-------------------------------------
- Cool music, go up the ladder
- Here, get the Skull for a character named Skull (not Skarl!!!)
- Also get the Rindou Flowers and the Giant Egg (near the bird)
- Go back to the first screen, exit left, fight Sugar Lou and Salton

7. Telmina
-------------------------------------
- Go to the statue at the top of town (get Kid, maybe)
- Go to very east side of town, give flowers to Grenn (not Glenn!!)
- Choice one: Get Alf - Talk to him in the bar
- Choice two: Get Slash - Talk to Mikki on Magical Dreamers ship (triggers event)
- Choice three: Get Pierre - In Smithy, get his Badge from little boy outside
- You cannot get all three on one regular game, wait until you beat it...

8A. Alf to SnakeBone Conservatory

- In Telmina, find Korcha's boat
- The rest is easy, fight up the cliff

8B. Slash to SnakeBone Conservatory

- Find Slash in waterfall in east woods
- Get Pink Bag, use it to lure Gel-thingies to sleeping plant monster with pollen
- Go through tree, be sure to block the hole with the cricket monsters inside

8C. Pierre to SnakeBone Conservatory
-------------------------------------
- Go through front gate (not too sure on this)

9. Conservatory Outside
-------------------------------------
- Observe that the front door is locked
- The key is in the top right corner of the Dragon-feeding den

10. Snakebone Conservatory
-------------------------------------
- "Radical Dreamers" was this whole section only!
- Rotate snake statue, fall in trap
- Fight guards, take clothing, go in west rooms
- In Kitchen, talk to Grenn, then go to his room, he'll write the statue combo.
- In east rooms, try to take the pendant, fall into another trap
- Fight Luchianna's Frankenstein Onion Knights
- Back in entrance, use correct combo on snake statue
- Go west, to library (is this Belthaser...?) Search around, fight li'l Marcella
- Talk to old man, go back to large room, search pillars for a switch
- Fight guards, take elevator-throne to high levels, go in right door
- Fight Yamaneco, then there's some scenes, I won't spoil much now...

11A. Gardove - Mamacha's Mission

- Do NOT opt to save Kid (all top choices)
- Get Hips for Skull from trading girl
- Talk to Mamacha and everyone else in Gardove
- Take Korcha's boat to Telmina, go to entrance, see Grenn
- Go back to boat, you'll get Grenn and Mamacha, go to Foggy Sea east of main island
- Do the "Pirate Ghosts" section then return to Gardove for Doc and Kid

11B. Gardove - Korcha's Mission

- Get Hips for Skull from trading girl
- Take boat to Telmina, you cannot get Grenn, but get Gillbert near Dario's grave
- Go to Beach, use Kid's Bag of Star Dust to wormhole back HOME
- Go to Hidora, fight Pipapipa and get flute, use it at north most section
- Fight Giant Hidora Insect, then Kracken thingie, the get Razzle the fairy
- Procede until you fight Giant Hidora Centipede, get medicine, return to Gardove
- Be sure to chase and catch Mel if you want her later (Only Korcha can have her)
- Get Kid, procede to "Pirate Ghosts" section (Go to the Foggy Mist)

12. Pirate Ghosts

- Once the ghosts attack, observe that the main door is locked
- Kill all skeletons and talk to all pirates to find the key
- Find your way to deck, fight big Ghastly Blob thingie, but Fargo will not yet join

13. Smoking Solitary Island

- Fight Harlequin (Tsukuyomi), get her Moon Glasses accessory (a good one)

14. SnakeBone Conservatory

- Get Luchianna, you can, you know...

15. HOME Aruni

- Talk to old fisherman near Rena, he'll take you to Water Dragon's Shrine
- Hear, make your way to the Water Dragon, he'll give you the Icey Breath

16. East Coast of Elnide (ANOTHER)

- Go through Death Fire Mountain, use Icey Breath to freeze the lava
- You should be sick of the next area by now...

17. Dragon Tower (Mystery Dungeon)

- Solve each of the puzzles and bosses (I'll you figure them out, use your BRAINS!)
- After Sun Face thingie, it's same old as the demo, you know what to do
- Yamaneco and SnakeBone Master are here, I won't spoil what happens...

18. ABSTRACT WORLD and Beyond

- Shake an apple from the tree, Spriggan comes out
- Go in her house, she'll join you (Yes, Spriggan's all woman!)
- Go north to weird room, follow Serge in each door he goes in (from your floor)
- Harlequin joins! Now leave, you'll be in Hidora (HOME)
- Try to go through Wormhole on the beach, and the Mountain Pass
- Go to Aruni, talk to Marge, fight Radius, now go through Mountain Pass
- Get Zappa and Bancliff in Telmina

19. SnakeBone Conservatory

- With Radius, enter through woods entrance (Slash's path)
- Get Skull's Shoulders in the waterfall, if you haven't already
- Now in the dungeon, talk to Ishito, he'll join only if Radius is there
- Go to Telmina, you can now use a blow-up raft where Slash's ship used to be

20. Mysterious Triangle

- Swim to bottom, get the Sea Shell

21. Sky Dragon's Shrine (Crecent Isle)

- Check chest, fight StarChild, get him

- Talk to Toma 14, everything you can say, and the other guy
- Sleep in the "inn," talk to Irenes the Mermaid at night

23. Fargo's Zellbess
-------------------------------------
- Try to go through door at bottom of boat (you can't, but Kenja will)
- See Sneff's magic show, then talk to Fargo, attempt to play Roulette
- Go to Inn, see manager in a worry at his cat, be turned into cats by Sneff
- Go up ladder in Inn, get the Magnet Handle
- Play Fargo at Roulette again, he'll lose, now go through that door
- Fight Kenja, get the Crab Key
- You can now get Irenes and Mikki here on the boats

24. Circle of Death (Hurricane)

- Use the Crab Key from the raft
- Enter, you'll see the Masamune (Grand Lion)
- After chat, go to Solitary Island, talk to Radius, get Looking Glass

25. Island of Bones
-------------------------------------
- Get Pile O' Bones for Skull in cave at northwest of first screen
- Find your way to the left-most mirror (go down through the snake skeleton)
- Fight Garai (the coolest character in the game, too bad you can't be him...)
- Get Elranzer, use it to smash the Masamune in the Circle of Death

26. Mysterious City (Circle of Death)
-------------------------------------
- Make your way to the center building (the big Car-Robot is real hard)
- In this mall-type place there's a way too familiar area from Chrono Trigger
- Fight Miguel here, and the city will be destroyed (Sky Dragon will get you)

27. Telmina/SnakeBone (ANOTHER)
-------------------------------------
- Go to the bar, there's a hidden room here, get either Zoah or Karsh
- Go to SnakeBone Conserve. and talk to Ishito in a west room from entrance
- Go to the sewer grating near the kitchen, first find and turn off the valve
- Back in the first section, now you can cross, turn off a second valve here
- Next screen, turn the valve up, then go back around to the same valve (other side)
- Turn it down, then procede, you'll fight a big bug, then the Evil Chef
- After all that, head toward the library, you'll fight Guardian and Mecha
- Escape to the library, fight Mecha again, then escape out the window
- Guardian will now join, you can now leave

28. Gardove

- Fight Orlha (Serge's ex-girlfriend?)
- You'll get her Broach, give it back once you're Serge again to join you

29. Hidora Swamp

- Look around, you'll find Skull's Spine in a cave

30. Island Ruins (Water Dragon Shrine)
-------------------------------------
- Some guy'll give you Skull's Ribs, now he's all good to go
- Skull'll join in Telmina, the house near SnakeBone Master's Statue

31. Solitary Island

- Many people will join, but Harlequin leaves (FOR GOOD!!)
- Triggers the Kid/Evil Serge event

32. Sky Dragon's Shrine

- Talk to him to trigger the Dragon Quests
